Always glad to stay at Parklands. Rooms spacious, reasonably comfortable except for being able to regulate the doona. Breakfast enjoyable with a satisfactory range of breakfast options. Always been in Spring and really appreciated the Autumn colours. Had noticed straight after Covid that the grounds, especially the gardens needed maintenance, this still has not been done. Painting needs to be kept upon the gracious buildings. Interesting concept of the ‘glam’camping modules ,great job made of constructing each pod. Families or groups should love them as a base to explore the magnificent area.

Our stay was lovely - comfortable, quiet and roomy space, with beautiful balcony view over the garden. Staff were extremely helpful when we needed assistance. Grounds beautiful in any weather for a stroll. EV charging station within on-site parking was a big advantage, however when we hoped to charge the night before departing another guest (non-EV vehicle) had taken the charging spot. Still there on the morning before departure. Perhaps some signage designating EV spaces might be useful to discourage others from parking for their convenience?

Here's a more polished version of your review: Upon arrival, we were greeted by a pleasant property, with the main house exuding charm and elegance. However, as we made our way to the lodges, we noticed some litter in the parking area, likely left behind by housekeeping. Unfortunately, this initial impression extended to the lodges themselves, which seemed to lack some much-needed care and attention. The exterior could benefit from a thorough cleaning, while the interior, particularly the loft entry, would greatly improve with a fresh coat of paint to cover the numerous scuff marks. While the room itself was comfortable, with a cozy bed and pillows, we did find several issues. The carpet appeared to have been overlooked during cleaning, as we spotted bugs, fluff, and even long hair in the shower—certainly not ours. We decided to try the breakfast, and while the hot food was average, the coffee was a pleasant surprise and certainly a highlight of the meal. Overall, while the property has potential, we feel it better aligns with a 4-star standard rather than a 5-star experience. With a bit more attention to detail and care, it could certainly elevate its guest experience.

The surrounding garden and common areas were beautiful but inside the cottage needs some tlc and much better cleaning. the cottage also had a musty order probably due to the dirty carpet. will not stay here again.

Had a lovely overnight stay at Parklands. Room was clean and tidy and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was served in the nice sun filled dining room with a small but nice variety of foods.

Very generous rooms- beautiful surrounds and lovely staff- a few BUTs. 1: At the price the property should provide Netflix at least- or at least a manual for the TV. 2: The Fireplace is hard to operate. Our room was freezing in the morning and it would have been good to just be able to turn on. 3: I am very myopic- a makeup mirror would have been VERY appreciated instead of having to lean across the toilet to do make-up. 4:A USB charger port would have been helpful. 5: Being picky but a wider selection of herb tea would also have been nice.

Cracks in plasterboard, building is relatively new, stayed here before on a Saturday when there was a wedding on and the noise was horrible, weddings are held in a plastic marquee which is not sound proof. Also breakfast is somewhat expensive… SOUND PROOF your marquee OR educate your DJs to LOWER the volume control and make the experience bearable for OTHER paying guests

Great location for hiking. Beautiful old building. The lofts had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy reading and watching tv. We ate dinner at the couch both nights. The only problem was with the fireplace. It worked well the first night - dinner in on a rainy/foggy evening - but could not get it to work the next two nights.

We booked a room at this property at the last minute during our driving travels. The reception closes at 8pm, so it was a bit of a mad dash. Thankfully Alden (?) at the desk was willing to wait the few extra minutes for our arrival. The bed ended up being the most comfortable of our trip. The shower and bath amenities were lovely. We enjoyed the fireplace and the coffee/tea. Having milk in the fridge was much appreciated! Wish we had more time to spend at this beautiful property.

Great service, friendly staff on check in. Room was well looked after and very clean. Few minor issues - pillows were very soft and only 2 sleeping pilllws were on our king bed. Our bar fridge was not working and staff provided us with an ice bucket to keep our drinks cold (we only needed to use the fridge to keep some celebratory drinks cold, following our wedding ceremony. Overall it was a great stay, minus those 2 very small issues.

This property is well located and room/loft is clean and spacious. However, wifi is limited and didn’t work, not acceptable for a facility purport to be luxurious and above 4 stars. Second TV didn’t work, and the tea/coffee making facility is scantly stocked. No bottled water or biscuit of any kind. Overall, we felt the experience and facility and service was average. Buffet breakfast not value for money, do not waste your money on breakfast here.

We stayed on the ground floor of a lodge. The apartment was lovely with an enormous lounge with a great log effect gas fire - much appreciated in May! The bed was comfy and shower very good. The buffet breakfast was plentiful but you do need to get there early as it can run out of some things.

A fair walk from town especially when it is so cold, no restaurant, only serve the buffet breakfast, which was superb, so no dinner. Room was very cosy, loved the fireplace. Not a whole lot to do. Very pricey for what it is.
