Lovely welcoming staff member at the bar. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order and eat our takeaway using the restaurant's facilities. The planting and layout around the car parking is attractive. The property is located a short bike ride from the lovely Evans Lookout. We were able to make free use of the e-bikes. One of these had a faulty battery connection so that we had to return to the hotel to exchange this bike.

Great motel for families! There was a tennis and basketball court. There is also a hot tub for private use but it requires a booking and it’s free! The rooms were also very spacious and warm. The bed was also big and soft!

Loved the sauna and hot tub and restaurant. The hotel has been renovated in a really lovely way.

Didnt know about pool. After staying, realized they have pool as well. They have Spa n sauna too.

Motel renovation was quirky and nicely done. Very family friendly and easy to stay / dine out all on one site. Easy breakfast bar and launching pad for many hikes was a highlight! The hot tub position by the car park was not as zen as the pictures.

Loved this beautifully and thoughtfully designed hotel. Every detail was considered in the design, which I found to enhance the comfort. The rooms and beds were really comfortable. We stayed in a family room with a 2 and 5 year old, and it was perfect. The service was good, with very friendly staff. The only downsides were how tiny the hottub is, so it was never available when we hoped to hop in, and the fitness center was not open yet. I highly recommend staying at Kyah.

Kyah Hotel is a gem in the blue mountains. The price for the room is great for the modern and clean hotel room with inclusions of the complimentary hotel facilities e.g. electronic bikes hire, tennis court, sauna and breakfast table etc. We also love that the hotel has its own sustainable homestead garden and chicken coop.

Amazing service on a cosy property. Well prepared amenities. Restaurant on site was exceptional with a wonderful wine list, great food and great service. Spa and Sauna an excellent complimentary touch. Will be back.

We loved staying here and was sad it was for one night only. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely, stylish and huge. There were some dead flies on the floor which was unexpected given the room had just been cleaned, but we were willing to overlook that as everything else was so great. We had a $50 food voucher to use so had dinner at BLAQ, the onsite restaurant. The food was delicious. The complimentary grazing breakfast was fantastic and I loved the fruit bread. Sadly we didn’t have time to use the e-bikes or hot tub. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Communal areas were great - and the bedrooms were great - but the bathrooms are dated and quite a bit of mould in the shower area. Apart from that - we loved the property.

Lovely grounds and restaurant was good however short on staff and room not taken care of after we returned from long dsy hiking; after finally finding someone jt was rectified. Phone type keys were a bit tempermental.

Clean room

The room was comfortable and the staff were excellent. However we were disappointed with several issues. The cleaning of the room was sporadic. On one day the room was cleaned and new towels were placed on the unmade bed. One day nothing was done. Dinner was not great. The partial menu had only two main courses. It was either a regular burger or a vegetarian one. We choose the regular one and it was very poor. We had asked about dinner on Christmas Day and had been advised there would be a limited menu. We did not expect the only choices to be the burgers. We did not fancy that again after our first experience. Christmas dinner for us was the bread and cheese that we had in the room. This is supposed to be a boutique hotel but we did not even have matching glasses in the room.

Good property, good design, good customer service, nice staffs, but room service is not good, the bed sheets is clean but too dusty, the quilt is not clean with heavy dusty. the air conditioner is working, but too noisy at night.

Schönes Hotel mitten in den Blue Mountains. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Einchecken ging schnell und unkompliziert. Super freundliches Personal. Parkplätze direkt bei den Zimmern.

Very nice stay. The grounds and facilities are great. The restaurant was very good. Only negatives- the bathroom, needs to be renovated! Breakfast needs to go or be improved! It was very very disappointing, just toast and jam, some pastries? Breakfast is included in the rate but better to not include it as it currently stands. No breakfast option either if you want to order and pay.

The property is well kept, rooms are spacious but have next to no storage which can be an issue for people who are staying for a bit longer and like to unpack during their stay. The rooms are well insulated so you dont even need the a/c overnight. Rooms are a bit noisy; you can hear people's bathrooms They urgently neee to fix the shower. Its a massive pain to regulate the temperature. You either freeze or get scalded with boiling water. I saw some other comments pointing to the same problem so not sure anything has been done. It's a good place to stay but our overall experience has been 'meh'.

Amazing atmosphere and a cozy place to stay overnight. However, the soundproofing needs improvement, as noise from neighboring rooms can be heard.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff. Our room was clean and spacious with a recent renovation. Bathrooms are dated but have been given a lick of paint and new taps. The walls are paper thin so if you’re a light sleeper or don’t want to hear next door, pop some earplugs in

The hotel is a "renovated" old motel. Sadly the renovation is really only cosmetic. There is zero sound proofing in the rooms, so you hear everything from the room above you, the rooms on either side of you, the road out in front and the carpark behind you. The windows must be the same very thin glass and metal sliding frame from the old motel. The bathroom window is fixed so it needs to always be kept open slightly which adds to additional noise. The bed is also so soft that you end up bent like a banana. The cleanliness is pretty so-so around the windows. Finally there is an issue with the hot/cold water in the shower that makes it extremely difficult to get a consistent temperature meaning it is either boiling hot or too cold.

A gorgeous place. Love the feel of the bar/restaurant and outdoor spaces. Good to let the kids run off some steam. The bar has great cocktails. Continental breakfast basic but fine. Yoghurt yummy. Unfortunately the bed was way too soft and I ended up having an uncomfortable sleep with sore back and hips. Another family member in another room stated the same. The family room with bunk is great. The kids loved having their own spot but being so close without a door between us. Bathrooms old but clean and with modern updates. Shower had good water pressure.

Worst night I’ve ever spent in a hotel. Was meant to stay two nights but cut my loses and left after the first. The walls are paper thin, the couple in the room next to mine came back to their room late waking me up then spent till after 2 am watching loud tv and talking making sleep impossible, The bathroom had chipped tiles at the shower entry, was small and dark so you had to have the light/fan on which sounded like it may fall out of the ceiling every time you used it. The ceiling paint was peeling off as well. The staff however were friendly and tried to be helpful but these are not problems they are able to fix unfortunately.

I came across Kyah on social media and it did not disappoint! From the service, facilities and cleanliness, it truly exceeded my expectations. The inclusive breakfast was delicious and the facilities such as the hot tub and sauna were easy to book. The service was terrific and the staff were lovely! The rooms were spacious, quiet and the bed was comfy. If I had to pick anything, the only constructive feedback I would give was the room and bathroom had quite dim lighting. There was also no cutlery other than some teaspoons and no table to sit down at. However, it was a magical stay and I would happily stay at Kyah again the next time I’m visiting the Blue Mountains!

We spent 3 mid week nights at Kyah. Enjoyed the funky boutique hotel vibe of the place. Hot tub and sauna were enjoyable and easy to reserve; dinner we had at the on premises restaurant Blaq was excellent. As far the room goes, the bed mattress was too soft for our tastes and the room lacked closet space for clothes. Bathroom lacked a room deodoriser spray/aerosol. The room lacked any hotel guidebook info although I know people use the internet and apps for that these days. The GOKI app to open the room lock was adequate but somewhat annoying as it lists a way to contact the hotel front desk but the press 6 option only looped back to the main menu. No one answered. I prefer an old fashioned key! Surprised there is no game room or library/reading room at Kyah. Interesting music is piped in throughout the facility and it is hard to get away from it for some silence! Biggest issue we had was there is no check in desk/reception area. Staff at the restaurant/bar seem to do double duty working the bar and dealing with guest issues and requests. We requested changes of bedding/room service on two days and the cleaning crew never got the job done. No one approached us and identified themselves as being in a managerial roll or took immediate responsibility. We were accused of not really putting the "change the bedding sign" on the outside of the room door. There should have been no arguing with us about this. A staff member should have made it right ASAP.

Kyah Hotel is a Palm Springs (yes, I have been to PS more than once) inspired converted old motel with vegetable garden, a tennis court, desert styled plantation décor, with a hot tub (soon to be 2 hot tubs), and chicken coup. Located in the Blue Mountains, NSW, it is clear that investment was made to convert old style motel in the area into an oasis-like resort. I had a great stay in Kyah, I think the amenities are more than sufficient for a long weekend stay with family. Kyah made checking in and out a breeze, with the use of Goki app to access rooms and common areas. But to be honest, for a small resort such as this, the non-check process of the whole experience has made it impersonal and detached, as I feel we, as guests, are just a number to Kyah. But maybe this is the future of hospitality and resorts; in and out, with no personalisation. We shall see. I can totally picture Kim K staying in this facility and having her assistants checking in and out on her behalf whilst her driver drives her in direct to her room. And since everyone is an IG influencers nowadays, maybe this is the way forward. Love the front garden area; it is well maintained and there was a fire pit that we could use. Extensive maintenance needs to be kept up as most plants aren’t native to the area. The back garden hosts a chicken coup, where I am hoping that Blaq Restaurant (separate review on this fab restaurant!) would utilise the chicken to good use (doubt it though!).

The hotel was perfect and the staff were amazing, we will visit again.

Contact less check in, very impressive

The property was great! Unfortunately there wasn’t any sort of reception customer service. Phones aren’t answered for questions regarding your stay, which does make enquires a bit challenging! Would be nice to have a phone line that connects to someone on site.

Nice hotel. No reception area and the app didn’t work. Made it difficult to check in and use the facilities and ask questions.

My wife and I were very impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. We returned to our room on one occasion and it hadn't been made up. The staff quickly attended to it and then went out of their way to locate us and inform us that the room was ready, exceptional. The young cocktail maker never stopped the entire time we dined there and he maintained a pleasant attitude throughout making our night a delight.

Beautifully appointed rooms with a modern touch. Styled well, plush cushions / pillows and good block out curtains. The restaurant and bar on site was tastefully decorated and the service was top notch. My only concern was that the outdoor hot tub needed to be reserved and we were not aware of this prior to our stay and thus missed out on that facility on this occasion. Good proximity to a number of hikes and lookouts plus Blackheath town centre. Overall loved it and would happily stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Kyah Hotel. The room was spacious and the bar and restaurant were great. We also liked the location which was close to all of the things we wanted to do in the Blue Mountains. The hotel had a fun vibe.

we had a lovely stay close to Grand Canyon walk we wanted to do and close to other destinations on the Mountain. Lovely staff great breakfast we also had dinner in restaurant which was amazing 😊

Wonderful hotel in the Blue Mountains. Large, well appointed rooms, beautiful surroundings, and a fantastic bar / restaurant. Can’t fault it. Seeing a couple of chickens ‘zorbing’ in wire balls so they could get around the garden was a first. Give them a bigger enclosure, though!

Nice hotel, well priced, I atruggled with the dinner menu, not alot of choices. Steak was expensive and tough, I returned the first one, second one was the same, I walked out.

Stayed overnight, was very impressed. The rooms are done up beautifully and very clean and comfortable. Staff at reception very friendly. The resteraunt is a must. Food was top standard. We will definately be back for another stay. Highly reccomend.

The hotel and staff were lovely, so friendly and happy to recommend treks, viewing points and restaurants in the area. Nothing was too much trouble. The absolute highlight for us was dinner at the Blaq restaurant, the food was on a par with the best restaurants in London and the presentation and attention to detail was incredible. We feel so fortunate the restaurant was open one night during our stay so we could enjoy it - a truly memorable experience. Breakfast was great too!
