Stayed 1 night

Whatever you do - don't book here! We paid £378 for a 1 night stay (there was a concert on, hence the hiked up price) for an Executive Deluxe Room with City View. I really don't know what to say about the room - except ABSOLUTELY VILE. The 'executive room' was dirty, with cheap, broken furniture, a threadbare carpet with humps in it (trip hazard), no mirror at all apart from one in the bathroom that seemed to have been placed for giants (I'm 5ft 8" and could only just see the top of my head in it), a rickety wardrobe with 4 mismatched hangers in it, a rotten, broken window that was stuck 2" up so couldn't be opened (extremely hot day) or closed (very noisy through the night), cheap curtains that didn't fit the window and threw huge amounts of dust down onto us when we tried to close them, the list goes on. The 'city view' was of the back of another building with rotting timbers. And you didn't even get breakfast for the price! The photo's on their page are actually of a restaurant/cafe which is around a 10 minute walk away. We complained to Hotels.com about the room and the exceedingly misleading information on their site and received a large refund. Still wasn't worth the money we did end up having to pay. If you paid £40 for a cheap & cheerful room - fair enough, but certainly not the hundreds of pounds they charged. DON'T BOOK!
