Can’t rate our stay at Lorne House highly enough. The property is beautiful and so well equipped. The views to the rear of the premises are stunning. Bob and Liz were brilliant hosts; attentive, knowledgeable and kind - they really couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel welcomed. The room (which was an upgrade from what we had booked) was lovely. Clean, comfortable (the bed was super) and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious and a good variety of options meant we were very satisfied during our 4 day stay. All in all the experience was wonderful and very good value for money for what you get. Highly recommended if you want a central location to get to Bath and the surrounding area.

Everything in Lorne House was extremely clean with the usual tea/coffee making facilities also available after a long day's sightseeing. Lorne House is handy for local buses which take you into Bath or Chippenham and beyond. The connection with Rev.W. Awdry, the author of the "Thomas the Tank" stories was an added bonus - he lived at Lorne House & there is a Blue Plaque to commerate this. All in all a wonderful mini break.

Comfortable stay in tidy rooms and the use of a lovely lounge area. Breakfast was so tasty and fulfilled everyone’s tastes. Only issue was that the showers had little water pressure

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Lorne House but my first time since I was a teenager. Bob was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. I’d go as far as to say this is the best B&B I’ve ever stayed in with a lovely old feel and enormous comfy bed. My partner and I were pleased to come back after a long day in Bath to a luxurious bathroom which was the most well equipped I’ve seen from a B&B. The breakfast was lovely and our check in and out was easy. The parking on site is tight but so convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will make another visit to the area just to stay at Lorne House again. Thank you!😃

A lovely B&B! The owners, Bob and Liz, are lovely - very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had an enormous bathroom with a bath and a walk in shower. The breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and I’m sure we will return.

I felt like visiting family. Lorne House and the hosts Bob and Liz have really created that aura 'home away from home'. The cozy and warm room, the welcoming and personal service, the fresh and delicious breakfast, the small but informative chats, and much more. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this home (not a house) for any couple who would like to stay in Bath for 3-4 nights. Thank you, Bob and Liz!

All aspects of Lorne House were excellent. The one thing we hadn't fully appreciated, until we arrived, was the ease of access to Bath via the local bus service (stops 100 metres away). It actually made traveling into Bath a pleasure.

Great location for Bath, and countryside visiting. Box is an interesting place in itself, and easy transport out. Nice couple of pubs and cafe, shop close by too so everything you need. Lovely accommodation, very welcoming hosts , lovely airy / sunny aspect.
