We loved this place and their restaurant was very good and not expensive. A lift though would make it perfect. The desk clerk though did carry some of the suitcases up for us. Would definitely stay here again. The location is great for tourists sightseeing.

Broomhall looks better from the outside than inside. It needs some serious updating of furniture, beds and carpeting. Food was very mediocre and expensive for what you received. On the positive side the rooms were spacious and w large windows and views overlooking the valley. Staff was friendly but not terribly responsive. I had an issue w a shower door that never was addressed in my four nights. It is a convenient location to Stirling and there is plenty of parking.

This is a wonderful hotel, the rooms are big, clean etc. the only hiccup was no elevator. We were on the top floor and my husband popped his knee on the way up. The manager was very kind and understanding. Great hikes right from the parking lot. Would stay there again. Food was excellent.

While there isnot much to offer in the city of Menstrie, the casle is wonderful. The staff were super. There is a bar and lounge. They serve breakfast and have several items on the menu and all that we tried were good!

We loved our stay at Broomhall Castle. Great place, we had a huge room with a spacious, very modern bathroom. And 2 small turrets on each side of the room! In the morning I went for a hike up Jerah Trail, right behind Broomhall. From there I had a wonderful view over the whole surroundings.

Big comfortable bed in a clean nice sized room but all needs some TLC. Faulty bed side light when cable moved so possible risk of electrocution to the base especially as there were no electrical PAT (test) stickers on any device including the kettle. Cooked breakfast was only adequate and dogs were allowed in the dining room at the table. Your biggest issue will be lugging your heavy cases up the big staircases as all rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors above. Lift seems to have been removed some time back.

Ok. Lets just start by saying that this hotel has a certain quaint charm, and i can honestly say that the staff i met were cheerful, friendly and helpful. The building is old, and has some really nice touches, but it is being let down badly by the lack of maintenance, and love, that it's being shown. The toilet cistern came away from the wall in my room when you used the loo - noisy and somewhat alarming until you got used to it! Carpet had stains and was past it's sell-by date. Furnishings were tired. No wake up calls as no phones in rooms. No plug sockets near mirror for hair drying etc. Lift not working. Food was adequate, though sticky toffee pud was very good! I appreciate a building like this probably has ongoing maintenance requirements, but it would shine if shown some tlc. It's quirky, and deserves more.

The price was not worth the stay. Rooms were not sweep from previous visitors with crumbs still on the floor. The beds were so very old I could feel each spring beneath me. The food at the included breakfast was amazing. The separate prices dinner was also a delight.

Everything is too old with squeaky floor hearing every step upstairs and near by rooms. It was very strong smell of bleach everywhere in hotel and specially in restaurant. It’s make our breakfast not enjoyable and forth to checked out quickly. Would not recommend.

This was our first and only stay at a Castle and it was a little disappointing. The room was very dated and the bed was uncomfortable. It wasn't a terrible stay, just not the best. There was a nice little bar where we enjoyed a couple of drinks. There was a very large sitting room just off the bar and it was very dirty. It looked like the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in months. The furniture was very worn. The dining area was nice.

The building is old - so expectations should be set accordingly and comparisons shouldn’t be made with modern hotels. The furnishings were not brand-new and the bathroom wasn’t necessarily updated. Nonetheless, our room was large with tall ceilings and had a nice view of the forest through large windows. The place was clean and the check-in/check-out process was easy.

The look of it from outside it's the best thing about followed by the nice grass for my dogs. Rooms are very dated. Windows could do with some painting and so the rooms and doors. Overall very disappointed. Pets fee applies 1st pet £20 followed by £10 per pet. Breakfast £12.90 per person. Again very disappointed. Apart from outside look, nothing Scotish and Castle about. We paid in the end £176.80 which you can get a lot better elsewhere.

The exterior is lovely. Our room did have a clean comfortable bed but the couches were worn and dirty. Decor throughout castle was tacky. Service was very good.

My family had a good stay at Broomhall Castle. Check in was easy and they helped us find our room. The room was large with plenty of space. The carpet is a little worn but not too bad. We thought our sink didn’t have water, but we just had to turn the handles about 10 times. Dinner at Castle View, the associated restaurant, was very good. Overall, we’d stay there again.

Unique accommodations in staying in an old castle. However we checked in late so there were no maintenance staff on site. Our tub leaked and flooded the bathroom so could not shower. The beds have old coil mattresses, so did not sleep well with the metal coils in my back. The stay was extremely expensive and given our experience it was not worth the money.

I booked a king size bed and got a twin room. No lift . Moves rooms to a king bed only to find the TV didnt work. When i walked back to reception i was told the tvs dont work and was given an indoor digital ariel to try. The woman said she was yhe only one working and couldn't help...The tv remote wasn't the correct one for the tv so i couldn't get it to work at all... good job i had my Ipad with me

I booked a luxury double / twin. Requested double asked to change receptionist glillian was lovely and tried but was not allowed to change my twin to a double despite three rooms free. Room was Basic with two tiny beds. No t bags. Tiny tv and looked nothing like my booking. Even their advertised Basic double looked better. Very disappointed. All the staff were lovely but I will not return. Don't expect what looked like a seaside b&b room described as luxury. Lovely staff and very clean just not as described or charges

My husband and I totally loved our stay at Broomhall Castle! The staff were absolutely fantastic going above and beyond to make our stay extremely special! The relaxed vibe made us feel at home. Brilliant pub inside and lovely, spacious rooms! Would definitely go back and highly recommend it! You’ll not be disappointed!

We had an incredible stay at the hotel! The staff truly made our experience memorable. A special shoutout to Logan, who was incredibly helpful and kind. He generously upgraded us to a different room at no extra charge—what a wonderful gesture! Then there was Lizzy, the bartender, who felt like an angel sent from heaven. She was not only extremely kind but also had a beautiful smile and an astonishing personality. We had such a fantastic day in this lovely place!

Its an OK hotel but food was overcooked ( both burger on evening meal and eggs at breakfast) and I could not get a VAT invoice at checkout they promised to send me one but they have not done so. Staff friendly but reception need training to give VAT invoice on departure overall a disapointing experience. I stay at a lot of hotels on business and this was my 4th of the week and also unfortunately by far the worst It reflects badly on Hotels.com that you cannot get an invoice from a hotel. Fawlty towers springs to mind.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big but very bland, no decor and older facilities. (It’s a castle after all) The restaurant left a lot to be desired. The staff was doing the best they could, but there only two of them for a full restaurant. But dining options are limited. We were really looking forward to a “Castle” experience, and would probably not go out of the way to stay again.

We got bad directions thru google coming in at night and made 3 wrong turns before finding the entrance. Signage isnt lit or big enough. Beds are hard. Shower took 5 mins to get warm. However, dinner was excellent and the restaurant owner was utterly delightful and accomodating!

We loved this place and their restaurant was very good and not expensive. A lift though would make it perfect. The desk clerk though did carry some of the suitcases up for us. Would definitely stay here again. The location is great for tourists sightseeing.

I am very happy to have found this property! Great location for getting to Stirling and EDI. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. The price when compared to other properties was extremely reasonable. We felt we were in a 4 or 5 star castle at normal hotel prices! Would return and hope I get the opportunity

Broomhall looks better from the outside than inside. It needs some serious updating of furniture, beds and carpeting. Food was very mediocre and expensive for what you received. On the positive side the rooms were spacious and w large windows and views overlooking the valley. Staff was friendly but not terribly responsive. I had an issue w a shower door that never was addressed in my four nights. It is a convenient location to Stirling and there is plenty of parking.

This is a wonderful hotel, the rooms are big, clean etc. the only hiccup was no elevator. We were on the top floor and my husband popped his knee on the way up. The manager was very kind and understanding. Great hikes right from the parking lot. Would stay there again. Food was excellent.

We loved our stay at Broomhall Castle. Great place, we had a huge room with a spacious, very modern bathroom. And 2 small turrets on each side of the room! In the morning I went for a hike up Jerah Trail, right behind Broomhall. From there I had a wonderful view over the whole surroundings.

While there isnot much to offer in the city of Menstrie, the casle is wonderful. The staff were super. There is a bar and lounge. They serve breakfast and have several items on the menu and all that we tried were good!
