Hotel has lots of facilities but extra charges. Parking is free at the weekend but £5 a day on weekdays. The breakfast is expensive so we didn’t have it. The gym and pool are good but you have to pay extra for it. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. But a bit worn and beaten around the edges. Very convenient for the tram.

It’s always very difficult to beat a village hotel and if you’ve been to them before you know what you’re getting this one did not disappoint. Super clean room very comfortable bed lovely shower, clean soft towels and all the facilities, including of course the gym and swimming pool that you could want. You just won’t find better for the price.

This was an overnight stay as no room at the inn (laws) Christmas night. Upgraded for a late checkout and breakfast with gym access to burn of a few of the excess calories. The TV in the room didn’t work. The supposed complimentary toiletries was an opened bottle of conditioner and some manky looking standard bolted to the wall hotel soaps I personally never trust…. The gym was good and well equipped but minging! Probably more to do with the customers than the hotel but the teenagers running the place carry no authority and let everyone do as they like. The pool was a good size for a hotel but again, minging. Couldn’t see your hands and poor lane control ment slow people in the fast lane nearly getting swam over with isn’t fun for anyone. Ok for a work trip, and would be good value if the standards were maintained.

Very nice comfortable modern room, food and drinks options were spot on. Bar area with football was a plus if a little crowded. Disappointed how busy the pool was with none hotel guests, I couldn’t really make use of it, all in all a very nice stay.

Arrival was disappointing the building was full of scaffold along the bedroom windows as cladding being replaced. Lots of people stood outside makeshift entrance smoking. No instructions in room for air con so very hot and couldn’t open window due to road noise and then builders in morn. Bed was the worst so uncomfortable but hopefully with the build works the rooms are being tackled to so should all resolve it self. Staff kind and helpful. Gym:pool no notice it was public and swimming lessons on so didn’t use it. Very very busy facility, great location for trams

The village hotel has excellent facilities and friendly staff. The rooms are a nice size and the cushions where nice and soft. The only issue is if you are on the back of the hotel the noise from the gym fans are to loud and keep your awake. The hotel is definitely worth a visit.

As a regular user of the hotel I am consistently seeing the issues over and over. To the name a few, cleanliness of the room is overlooked, there is dust and surfaces are not wiped down, Carpets are not clean and in the toilet I could see hair on the floor. TV remote had dust on it.

The first room we were given was dirty with dirt on the pillows and feses in the toilet and the toilet also wouldn’t flush. The noise from the extractor (? From the pool) was too loud and due to it being warm I wanted to keep the window open but couldn’t and so we changed to room 332 which also had a dirt mark on the pillows and a couple of the towels were stained. I have never woke up with such bad aches and headaches as I did here! The pillows were lumpy and hard and it was not a relaxing stay. The worse part of the stay was my encounter with the recoetionist yesterday morning. I went to ask about extending our stay and she was unhelpful and just suggested I book via a third party despite me mentioning that I have a gym membership and wondered how I could book with my discount. She was abrupt and unhelpful and asked me to pre authorise my card to which I questioned why I didn’t have to do this for the first nights stay, she then asked me about parking and asked me to pay £10 for parking (for the Sunday and Monday) however I explained that the machine said ‘parking on us today’ and was not advised that I needed to pay. She was rude and said “like I said somebody mustn’t have changed the machine over” and if I didn’t pay then I would receive a fine. We have stayed at the village numerous times over the years and this was the worst stay yet.Really sad that it has got this way

We had a fairly comfortable stay but the rooms are average We had stains on the headboard of the bed and down one side of the bed too, I had to clean them off I have inadvertently rated cleanliness and property condition as good, I should have rated them average and am unable to remove 1 star from the ratings

Room service only changed the towels. Left bed unmade, bin wasn't emptied and didnt supply any new coffee / tea. I would have got a better service if i had checked out and back in.

Really nice modern hotel. Sadly we did receive a view from our room of the air conditioning units which blocked our window so it did make our room quite dark. We did also find a used tooth pick on our bathroom floor which wasn’t very pleasant. Overall the hotel has great facilities and the bed was very comfy. Very quiet hotel which was great at night.

Our first room the aircon wasn’t really working but then to top it off someone kept slamming doors now if it was room doors or the exit door which was a slow closer might not have helped but then they did change our room to a different floor but that one the aircon sounded like the room was getting ready for take off. The pillows weren’t very comfortable. I think the standards have really fallen at this hotel. Our first room one of the lights were hanging off and the lights kept flickering.

Check in was nice and easy, Room had no storage for clothes, no draws no wardrobe or cupboard space just 6 hangers in front on the mirror 😀. Pillows were like sand bags, Shower was clean but no 2nd shower head so wife didn't have shower as she just had her hair done. Very over priced wouldn't stay there again 🙄

Stayed at this hotel a lot in the past. Arrived and building work being done inside . Very noisy but stopped a 5 pm but wasn’t told this was happen, can hear the traffic inside room and I was on fourth floor

Upon arrival I was put in a small bed- room which could not fit our needs. I spoke with the front desk lady and she moved us to a bigger bed room. The room was ok, it was a little dirty, especially the sides of the bed on the floor. There were food bits on the cabinet. The bathroom was nice. We didn't want to have the room cleaned while we're there as we like privacy. The room was a bit of a disappointment as there wasn't a fridge, nor a safe, or a closet. The rail provided only held a few items. This hotel may not be for a long stay, however we were there for 10 days. We had a get together in the bar which was great, I ordered a pizza to share, it was sitting there a little while however did take a slice, then the pizza was gone. They cleaned the table while we were speaking to family at a different table. I spoke with the front desk and they said they would reimburse me so that was good. The front desk is a little strange as it's self serve but maybe that's what it's like all over, I don't know but It seamed a bit robotic. Starbucks opened which was great, but I would have loved a few more items of breakfast on the menu like cereal or something like that as I was getting board of croissants and bread products everyday. The pool was huge, on check in I was told I had to pay to use the pool, This wasn't the case as I asked at the pool check in and it was free. I didn't like the fact that my daughter was only allowed in for a few hours a day. Overall a good stay but not great.

Room window faced motorway. 24/7 motorway noise. Windows not really soundproof. Corridor on 3rd floor had 3 separate piles of what looked like vomit stains along it. Staff seemed helpful. The village hotel app was more expensive than Expedia booking.

Have stayed previously and had always been happy . Unfortunately the decor is now dated parts of bedroom and carpeting can only be described as scruffy. Worst part was to return to hotel after a concert to be told bar was closing 11.40 !! Did not expect to have to purchase two drinks so quickly and to be “supervised” by security staff whilst drinking them . Don’t think we will stay again at 60 years old you don’t need to be treated like a drunken bunch of teenagers

Check-in - good, room - good. Food service - bad. Ordered evening meal from the bar. Food came with no cutlery. Waiter said he would bring some. He didn't. After waiting a few minutes I went and got my own cutlery. Ordered my dessert at the same time as main course.20 minutes after finishing my main nobody had cleared my plate or brought my dessert. Had to go and ask for it (collected cutlery at the same time to save my legs). The breakfast offer at 9.15am was missing some core items - orange juice, mushrooms -not great value.

The staff in the whole of the hotel are friendly and nothing is a problem. The food is delicious. Breakfast and the bar menu, I would highly recommend both. It is very convenient for public transport.

Slightly disappointed with the hotel expected more for the price we paid. Didn’t feel we had the club experience. We had staff coming into our room once while I was just getting finished dressing. Totally unacceptable. Then housekeeping entered at 10.35 when check out was supposed to be 12. Spoke to reception about both issues and was told staff shouldn’t even be coming in until after we had checked out. Very disconcerting. We were offered no kind of compensation just a sorry not good enough

Why do you hide the £5 weekday parking charge? There's nothing obvious during thevonline booking, no clear to see signs just a tiny little bit of text hidden on "The Village" newspaper in the room. Its a cheap and nasty con that makes customers feel as though they're not valued. And, the place is getting a little tired now. Spend some money (more than you do at the moment) on making it a little fresher.

Great location just off the tram route to and from Manchester with a good selection of dining options inluding Maccy D's, Five Guys, KFC, Frankie & Bennys, Miller and Carter, etc, plus a cinema and bowling alley. Hotel also has a Starbucks inside.

Stayed over after a gig at Co-op Live. Handy location by tram stop. Arrived back at 10:50 p.m. to be told the bar was closed! What?!!!! Room was ok, mattress too hard for my liking but we're all different, same with 6 ton duvet provided! Nice breakfast at pub next door and appreciated the 11:00 a,m, check out. Would stay again, but will be bringing a cooler bag of own drinks!

Perfect for going to a concert at COOP arena- 5 min walk to tram and about. 25min tram ride and you are there. We had a club room which was clean and had a comfy bed. Breakfast was disorganised and chaotic - not enough food and not being replenished quickly. Coffee machine ran out of coffee, orange juice ran out.

Breakfast was so disappointing. We had over an hour left for breakfast so to arrive at the buffet breakfast to find lots of missing items. Dirty unkept buffet. No cutlery and staff unhelpful. Disappointing.

Came for gig at co-op arena. Excellent very as food outlets all around + pub & hotel bar. Walking distance to team & 20 mins direct to arena - recommend & I’d deffo come again.

Room was clean. Very comfortable bed and lovely walk in shower. However, we needed to eat after our long journey and the restaurant was overrun with young children from a football club awards night. The kids were completely running amok, screaming, shouting, running up and down corridors and even at 11.45pm they were still there. Parents oblivious to the really poor behaviour as were hotel staff. We couldn’t use the restaurant or even get a drink because of it. So strange that the hotel allowed hotel guests to be so inconvenienced in this way
