We enjoyed our stay and the views. Nice location and spa/pool area. Would recommend the weekend wine tasting. Breakfast was wonderful. Simon was able to assist with last minute castle restaurant reservation. Staff was cordial.

Det bästa med hotellet är att de har enkelrum med balkong och härlig utsikt över sjön. Jag reser en del på egen hand och på vissa ställen består enkelrummen av en skrubb utan utsikt och gärna med en stor fläkt eller hisstrumma utanför fönstret. Typ. Hotellet har en fine fine restaurang som heter 1906 och hotellets inredning är tidstypisk. Sängen var mycket skön om än väldigt smal men jag sover föredömligt stilla så det var inga problem. Frukosten var utomordentlig. Bordsservering med vita dukar och härliga rätter att beställa in. Jag som nu äter för att sänka mitt kolesterol är glad att slippa buffé med kakor och överflöd då köttet är svagt. Båda dagarna blev det en frasig granola med yoghurt, fruktsallad, valnötter och en croissant. Och rödbetsjuice. I källaren finns bastu och pool som var hyfsat stor - gissar 15x5 så det blev ändå några meters simning. Hotellet ligger bredvid en tågstation men värt att notera är att den inte frekventerar den linje som kör till Ljubljana (vilket jag trodde när jag bokade). Servicen på hotellet var minst sagt blandad - damen som hade morgonpasset var snorkig och trist medan mannen som arbetade på eftermiddagen var väldigt tillmötesgående. Hotellet ligger precis vid sjön och man kan välja om man vill gå medsols eller motsols in till byn. Det är en liten bit att gå - på dagen är det ok men på kvällen var det mörkt. This hotel is a real gem. We had a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of the lake. We never had dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was fantastic - lots of options and all delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We also each had a Triglav Massage which was amazing. It’s a short walk down to the lake (though it’s uphill on the way back) - approx. 30min walk by the lake into town. We really enjoyed our stay here.

As soon as we drawed the curtains open and saw the breath-taking view, we knew that this was the vacation we always dreamed of. The staff was friendly and efficient, the room was clean and fabulous. The sauna, pool and massage was wonderful and the food was delicious and on par.

The hotel's location, service and views cannot be beat. The breakfast is exceptional. The sauna and pool are so inviting after a full day of hiking around the Lake and up to the Castle. I was not all that impressed with the dinner menu to be honest.

The views and spa facilities were awesome. Well worth the trip right there. Parking can be a problem but always worked for us. There is a great walk down to the lake but if you want anything else, like lunch or a dinner that is not a set course, you really need to drive. But again - great views.

Away from the traffic & tourists in the downtown area, but still close enough to walk to the town center- or ride the train. It’s a 10 minute walk down a hill to the promenade around the lake. This is a smaller, older hotel; many lovely sitting areas filled with antiques. Many rooms have balconies with varying views. Facilities are in excellent condition and very clean. Front desk staff will help schedule activities such as a massage in the Spa, horseback riding, taxi, etc. The restaurant is very nice (Michelin recommended) but with a limited dinner menu. Room includes made-to-order breakfast in the restaurant at a table overlooking the lake; guests choose items from an excellent menu. My only complaint involved a couple with a boisterous 3 yr old who was constantly screaming wherever they were in the hotel- but nothing staff could do about that.

Lovely 120 year old hotel. Our room (303) did not have a view. Not even a window. Just a skylight so disappointing since the hotel looks at the lake. Clean and very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds. Steep hill to walk to the lake. Very exquisite evening meal. $$$$ Parking can be a challenge but a lovely quiet location across from Bled town. Great staff.

First of all the property is outdated however is clean. The staff some need training on hospitality. The restaurant staff were nice and also the manager on checkout. However the person who checked me in and later during the stay was rude and not accommodating. Felt like a bother.

The view was beautiful and the staff were lovely! The food was also good. The rooms themselves were worn down - the mattress was awful, the shower would go from very hot to very cold and the balcony door was broken as well as hair in the shower upon arrival. The view is beautiful and this as well as the staff is the major selling point. I’d recommend for a one to two night stay but not for a longer period.

Overall a very clean hotel and staff were so lovely and helpful! Only thing I would have to say about the room was that the balcony door was slightly broken and kept opening at the top as I think part of the hinge was off meaning bugs kept getting into the room. Thankfully not a lot of them did get in but was a bit annoying having to keep removing them. Other than that the room was very clean and was perfect- had everything you could need!

Nice to stay away from the Lake Bled mayhem. Up above the lake, great view of the church and easy access via the local road to the beach & lake. Breakfast was great! The staff was wonderful and the menu offered a a wide range of options, and we were able to try multiple local options. We would stay here again, since we found the local road past the train station to take us down to the restaurant, beach, row boats and campground. This route avoids all the Lake Bled traffic :-) What wasn't great? 1) The Bed(s). They were hard and very uncomfortable. 2) The patio door was missing the unlock level, so only one side opened. 3) Parking can be a little tricky if you arrive late in the evening. If you have kids or teens, you may want to stay closer to the lake. If you are looking for a little piece and quiet, a great view and easy access to everything. This is where I would stay :-)

This is true every week and is not just a one-off. No nearby restaurants; you have to drive several miles to Bled town. Really the hotel felt closed down. The much promoted "Fine Dining" restaurant "1906" only opens for Wed - Saturday. Be careful which nights you book.

Lovely 120 year old hotel. Our room (303) did not have a view. Not even a window. Just a skylight so disappointing since the hotel looks at the lake. Clean and very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds. Steep hill to walk to the lake. Very exquisite evening meal. $$$$ Parking can be a challenge but a lovely quiet location across from Bled town. Great staff.

A tree blocked my view of the island. The hotel has allowed a few trees to grow so large and tall that the block some rooms’ views of the island. Nice to stay away from the Lake Bled mayhem. Up above the lake, great view of the church and easy access via the local road to the beach & lake. Breakfast was great! The staff was wonderful and the menu offered a a wide range of options, and we were able to try multiple local options. We would stay here again, since we found the local road past the train station to take us down to the restaurant, beach, row boats and campground. This route avoids all the Lake Bled traffic :-) What wasn't great? 1) The Bed(s). They were hard and very uncomfortable. 2) The patio door was missing the unlock level, so only one side opened. 3) Parking can be a little tricky if you arrive late in the evening. If you have kids or teens, you may want to stay closer to the lake. If you are looking for a little piece and quiet, a great view and easy access to everything. This is where I would stay :-)

We just finished an amazing 3 night stay at hotel Triglav. We were in a 3rd floor room with a balcony that had spectacular views of the lake and also the mountains. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely sign up for the wine tasting- it was only euro 35 for a 2 hour session and Daniel was amazing! Don’t underestimate the steepness of the hill to get up to the property from the lake- we walked from the bus station all the way there with all our bags- fortunately we are in shape and just barely made it. We would absolutely stay here again.

When I arrived the check-in staff made me feel incredibly welcome and that continued throughout. I encountered a few issues during the stay which they did their utmost to correct (and did). Breakfast was plentiful and the restaurant good. The walk to the town is about 25 mins and the return is up a steep hill so may not be for everyone

Bled was a convenient stop on our road trip to Italy; I choose Hotel Triglav Bled for its proximity to the lake and for the nice onsite restaurant. I was disappointed. All sites advertise this hotel emphasizing the restaurant and the location. False information! The location is serene and quiet, which is a plus, but most other hotels in this price range are right on the lake. Steep walk to get to the lake from this hotel. The location did not bother me, but it should be noted that it is different than you might think per site info, web search and reviews. My bad rating is based on the poor service we received. We arrived at 7 pm and I planned on having a nice dinner. I was told that the restaurant was fully booked and could not accommodate us (party of 2). We never received any information that advance booking was necessary. We were not offered even a drink, an appetizer nor a recommendation to other nearby restaurants. The refusal was blunt and unreasonable. There were no smiles, no information on the area, no options. Service was basically nonexistent. After walking around the lake and seeing numerous great dining options, nice restaurants, nice hotels right on the lake I regretted booking this hotel. Triglav Bled was a frustrating experience for over 600 USD/night. Not a 4 start by any means. Not up to US standards. Not friendly, not welcoming, not reasonable.

First of all the property is outdated however is clean. The staff some need training on hospitality. The restaurant staff were nice and also the manager on checkout. However the person who checked me in and later during the stay was rude and not accommodating. Felt like a bother.

Away from the traffic & tourists in the downtown area, but still close enough to walk to the town center- or ride the train. It’s a 10 minute walk down a hill to the promenade around the lake. This is a smaller, older hotel; many lovely sitting areas filled with antiques. Many rooms have balconies with varying views. Facilities are in excellent condition and very clean. Front desk staff will help schedule activities such as a massage in the Spa, horseback riding, taxi, etc. The restaurant is very nice (Michelin recommended) but with a limited dinner menu. Room includes made-to-order breakfast in the restaurant at a table overlooking the lake; guests choose items from an excellent menu. My only complaint involved a couple with a boisterous 3 yr old who was constantly screaming wherever they were in the hotel- but nothing staff could do about that.

Overall a very clean hotel and staff were so lovely and helpful! Only thing I would have to say about the room was that the balcony door was slightly broken and kept opening at the top as I think part of the hinge was off meaning bugs kept getting into the room. Thankfully not a lot of them did get in but was a bit annoying having to keep removing them. Other than that the room was very clean and was perfect- had everything you could need!

What an excellent hotel in an absolutely beautiful location. Very lovely staff, great breakfast, very clean, quiet location but walkable to Bled town (if you can walk uphill otherwise taxis and tourist train available). Worth paying extra for Lake view. Will certainly be going back.

Beautiful hotel, full of history. The view over the lake is unmatched. The breakfast was wonderful and much better having freshly cooked to order rather than a buffet. We loved our time and were sad to leave.

Away from the traffic & tourists in the downtown area, but still close enough to walk to the town center- or ride the train. It’s a 10 minute walk down a hill to the promenade around the lake. This is a smaller, older hotel; many lovely sitting areas filled with antiques. Many rooms have balconies with varying views. Facilities are in excellent condition and very clean. Eccellente hotel con camera e balcone vista lago davvero eccezionale. Cena gourmet (quasi obbligatoria) un po’ esagerata e costosa. Lago a 10 minuti a piedi, ottima base per lungolago (6 km, val la pena farli tutti) a piedi o in bici, e castello.

We had a great stay at Triglav Bled. The old hotel is beautiful and has a commanding view of Lake Bled. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was really good. The room was spacious and very clean and well maintained. It was a great experience! Two things to be aware of though: 1) To get to Lake Bled is a bit of a hike down (and then back up) a fairly steep path, so if you are not in decent shape that could be an issue. 2) There is no food at the hotel after lunch time. The restaurant is closed for dinner, and the option is to drive to Bled to find a restaurant. Neither of these was an issue for us but worth mentioning. I will definitely stay at Triglav Bled if I visit again!
