Lovely spa weekend break. Staff amazing. Great amenities all well looked after. Beautiful grounds to walk in. Great choice of places to eat. Only minor concern was lack of marked parking spaces - some guests were thoughtless. Marked spaces would reduce this problem.

We enjoyed our stay at The Grove. It’s unfortunate that most of their summer events & special dining experience are all in late July/august, so we didn’t get a chance to experience them. Loved the variety of activities & the stunning grounds. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is a big events space and thus loses the charm of a country escape, and keeps a more corporate feel.

It's an excellent hotel for a family getaway. The staff were super friendly, the food was fantastic, the outdoor pool was heated, and the activities were great! Our only complaint was that the beds were a little uncomfortable. This was especially the case for the kids' sofa bed and temp bed. Our kids are 11 and 13, so they may be too old for these sorts of things.

Great stay with family for fathers day. We ate at all of the restaurants, all were super, but the breakfast really must be the best I have ever had in the UK. Grounds and activities were all great too.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grove. It is a lovely hotel, especially if you are a golfer. Food wise The Glasshouse has a wonderful selection of food - but it is buffet (not every one’s cup of tea). The food at The Stables was also very good, but if you have some mobility difficulties, it is a long walk outdoors to get there! Concierge will arrange a buggy - but take your coat in winter! Lovely breakfast in the Glasshouse with excellent selection. Obviously The Grove is not cheap!

It was our 24th wedding anniversary & this was addressed by us being given an early check in (requested some time before) & a slightly later check out as we had a morning spa treatment. We were given a bottle of champagne & chocolates in our room & the staff were all thoroughly assertive, kind & helpful. A few months prior to our stay we had a phonecall to ask if the a customer Relations Team could help with anything during our stay & a few days before our stay we had a watts app message asking the same thing & responded to any messages almost immediately so the service was impeccable. Every part of the hotel was spotless clean, well sign posted & 5 star. The ‘Feast on Cloud 9’ was a lovely experience as was the pop up restaurant Skewd. The walled garden & outside pool & beach was amazing especially as we had fantastic weather. If we could afford it I would love to stay again & would highly recommend it to others!

The hotel was lovely, the glasshouse is very nice with good cocktails and snacks. Had the best massage ever with a Thai lady called Joe. Hotel could do with modernising in the hall ways but apart from that stunning. We will return in the summer with the children next time.

The Grove doesn’t normally disappoint with service, golf, the spa and the food which tends to be on point. This time wasn’t any different but you can now see the popularity of The Grove by how the appearance is starting to show wear. The 2nd floor ceiling has terrible water damaged. In the spa the shower hooks were loose, a portion on the last right shower faucet had fallen to the floor. My spa therapist was a dream though. She made me feel exceptional in every way, mind + body, so thank you. The nature trail walk hasn't been improved. It leads to service entrances and a lack of interest or views. We dined at the Hot Air Ballon Pop Up. It was memorable. Skewd was delicious. They were wonderful at accommodating me as Im a celiac. Do I hope they update their property + rooms, yes. Would that prevent me or anyone from going back, no.

Lovely hotel but room prices gave us higher expectations than were met. Whilst we were very fortunate to be upgraded from a standard room to deluxe, it still fell short. Our cold tap wouldn’t run, weak toilet flush, we had very basic mini bar and the hallways to the bedrooms were very dated and didn’t smell particularly fresh. Great all round hotel with amazing amenities but it could do with modernising the rooms. Tv was old fashioned (but did have Netflix), and balcony was very small with two very basic chairs.

Booked 2 nights at The Grove and was really looking forward to our stay; however it wasn’t quite up to the standard I expected. Room had everything you need and was clean [which is expected]. The desk/dressing table could do with an updated larger wall mirror. Certain staircase and lifts could do with some TLC as they are worn! Spa, was nice however facilities in the women’s changing room were not all working! Disappointing! You get the usually robe, towels, flip flops as you do in a “luxury hotel/spa”! Food, I would say breakfast and dinner at Skewd were the highlight. Breakfast had a variety of options from fresh fruit to cooked hot food. Everything was delicious, I tried a bit of everything. Dinner at Skewd was lovely, service was great. The team bought out a birthday treat and shots on the house which was a nice touch. Hotel Service, hit and miss with reception. when called they are quick to get you off the line, twice I was hung up on while still asking for something! Doormen and baggage porters were very friendly and courteous. Very annoyingly, by magic…!!!! One of my sandals went missing from the room! I arrived wearing both on Friday and upon leaving it had gone missing! No one seemed to know where it had gone!!! I would have expected a courtesy call having left my details! Nothing a day later after leaving!!

A great room and beautiful grounds all well maintained. Super attentive staff everywhere. The buffet breakfast was excellent with very good choice. The evening dinner wasn't really our scene. The buffet offered an excellent choice of foods but was not personal and quite cramped. Our room bathroom had no rails for towels and only two hooks (for the robes). We had to leave our towels and face cloths on the roll-top bath but these were taken by the turn-down maid and not replaced; not good when you find out late at night. The site grounds/roads need improved signage for cars.

Overall nice trip. Stayed at the hotel many times. However this time cold tap broke on the bath and tv controller did not work. When spending £600 per night on a room you don’t expect this to happen. Both rectified relatively quickly but when staying only one night you don’t want it to take up any of the time you have. One round of drinks taken of the bill …..so ok compensation.

Our cold tap wouldn’t run, weak toilet flush, we had very basic mini bar and the hallways to the bedrooms were very dated and didn’t smell particularly fresh. Great all round hotel with amazing amenities but it could do with modernising the rooms. Tv was old fashioned (but did have Netflix), and balcony was very small with two very basic chairs.

The property is beautiful and very convenient. The grounds are stunning. I would have expected the rooms to be nicer given the $$$. The tub is so difficult to step into, I was scared each time as I'm pregnant and kept grabbing for dear life. I kept thinking what would people with disabilities or elderly do.

We enjoyed our stay at The Grove. It’s unfortunate that most of their summer events & special dining experience are all in late July/august, so we didn’t get a chance to experience them. Loved the variety of activities & the stunning grounds. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is a big events space and thus loses the charm of a country escape, and keeps a more corporate feel.

It's an excellent hotel for a family getaway. The staff were super friendly, the food was fantastic, the outdoor pool was heated, and the activities were great! Our only complaint was that the beds were a little uncomfortable. This was especially the case for the kids' sofa bed and temp bed. Our kids are 11 and 13, so they may be too old for these sorts of things.

Booked 2 nights at The Grove and was really looking forward to our stay; however it wasn’t quite up to the standard I expected. Room had everything you need and was clean [which is expected]. The desk/dressing table could do with an updated larger wall mirror. Certain staircase and lifts could do with some TLC as they are worn! Spa, was nice however facilities in the women’s changing room were not all working! Disappointing! You get the usually robe, towels, flip flops as you do in a “luxury hotel/spa”! Food, I would say breakfast and dinner at Skewd were the highlight. Breakfast had a variety of options from fresh fruit to cooked hot food. Everything was delicious, I tried a bit of everything. Dinner at Skewd was lovely, service was great. The team bought out a birthday treat and shots on the house which was a nice touch. Hotel Service, hit and miss with reception. when called they are quick to get you off the line, twice I was hung up on while still asking for something! Doormen and baggage porters were very friendly and courteous. Very annoyingly, by magic…!!!! One of my sandals went missing from the room! I arrived wearing both on Friday and upon leaving it had gone missing! No one seemed to know where it had gone!!! I would have expected a courtesy call having left my details! Nothing a day later after leaving!!

We are regulars at The Grove and love it there, but the dinner service (outside the lounge) was dreadful last night. Lack of attentiveness, no proactivity, incredibly slow, etc. At £750 a night in a 5* hotel, that’s just not acceptable. Everything else was great, as usual.

My only disappointment was this was booked for my birthday which the hotel was aware of, but there was no birthday surprise in the room upon arrival, no happy birthday at check in mentioned, and this was just a bit of a downer. It was our 24th wedding anniversary & this was addressed by us being given an early check in (requested some time before) & a slightly later check out as we had a morning spa treatment. We were given a bottle of champagne & chocolates in our room & the staff were all thoroughly assertive, kind & helpful. A few months prior to our stay we had a phonecall to ask if the a customer Relations Team could help with anything during our stay & a few days before our stay we had a watts app message asking the same thing & responded to any messages almost immediately so the service was impeccable. The setting and the hotel proper were great. The long corridors to get to our room needed getting used to. The staff were excellent, caring and attentive. We had erroneously not booked the fine dining Madhus and ended up in the Stables, so noisy with young folks that we left for the Glasshouse, best described as a gastro pub. The buffet was plentiful and well presented. The service was pleasant and helpful. The distance between the two restaurants is so impressive that we had to order a golf cart for transport ( matter of age ). We liked our stay overall but next time will book the Madhus

We enjoyed our stay at the Grove. It is a lovely hotel, especially if you are a golfer. Food wise The Glasshouse has a wonderful selection of food - but it is buffet (not every one’s cup of tea). The food at The Stables was also very good, but if you have some mobility difficulties, it is a long walk outdoors to get there! Concierge will arrange a buggy - but take your coat in winter! Lovely breakfast in the Glasshouse with excellent selection. Obviously The Grove is not cheap!

The hotel was lovely, the glasshouse is very nice with good cocktails and snacks. Had the best massage ever with a Thai lady called Joe. Hotel could do with modernising in the hall ways but apart from that stunning. We will return in the summer with the children next time.

The Grove doesn’t normally disappoint with service, golf, the spa and the food which tends to be on point. This time wasn’t any different but you can now see the popularity of The Grove by how the appearance is starting to show wear. The 2nd floor ceiling has terrible water damaged. In the spa the shower hooks were loose, a portion on the last right shower faucet had fallen to the floor. My spa therapist was a dream though. She made me feel exceptional in every way, mind + body, so thank you. The nature trail walk hasn't been improved. It leads to service entrances and a lack of interest or views. We dined at the Hot Air Ballon Pop Up. It was memorable. Skewd was delicious. They were wonderful at accommodating me as Im a celiac. Do I hope they update their property + rooms, yes. Would that prevent me or anyone from going back, no.

Staff were fantastic and my dad was given a wonderful welcome. The rooms and cleanliness and hospitality and warmth was outstanding.
