We think this is a really good living option if you want to visits montalcino. A little bumpy road to the house and not the most walk friendly way when you walk in to Montalcino. But otherwise we were really happy with everything. Marcella who ownes the place was friendly and helpful. She and her husband has a vinyard about 15 minutes away that we also visited. We really recommend the la Casella and will be happy to stay there again.

The property is situated with a 15 minute walk up to Montalcino. It's steep but doable. The views from the property are outstanding. Marcella is incredibly friendly and helpful. We only stayed two nights, so did not use the kitchen that much, but it is very well stocked with pots, pans and everything else you would need if staying longer. The grill in the oven did trip the power, but I am sure Marcella will get that fixed immediately.

It was amazing! Felt like I was staying at my Nana s country home. This place is homey, a spectacular view, within walking distance to Montalcino.
