I'd stay there again. Above average budget hotel. Helpful staff. Clean. Price was right. Easy on and off access to freeway and gas stations, A/C works great and the controls actually work and air comes from central unit instead of the gross window unit; Changes I'd suggest: get rid of slight cleaning chemical smell in room; charge lower pet fee; beds are just okay; Eliminate lobby water feature or get it running; fix loud elevator fan; room needed a deep clean and cosmetic repairs in bathroom, but overall the room was adequately clean.

pool not working, breakfast only had microwavable sandwiches for protein and they were pout of milk but the lady did run to the store and get some. This property needs to be bought up by someone who can utilize all of its space. The employees were all great from front desk to housekeepers.

Dated facility but clean overall. Room size was decent. No place to plug USB cables in to charge iPhones or laptops so make sure you have ac adapters. Will be nice to see waterfall if they get it going again. Plenty of parking but could use more lighting, especially farther from the building. Overall nice considering the price.

Beautiful property. Under new mgmt, some updates in progress (indoor fountain was being being dismantled). Rooms are spacious and clean. Blackout curtains are tattered and therefore don't properly close. My stay was mid-afternoon to midnight, so blocking the sun so I could sleep was important. Eventhough i was sleeping during the day, the hotel was quiet and my sleep was undisturbed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay on my return trip!

The breakfast was good for your standard hotel breakfast. Food always felt fresh. The lobby looks very nice but it doesn’t translate to the amenities inside the room. I wish the water feature was working as that’s one of the reasons I booked the property.

SUPER CLEAN! Older but well maintained- except the elevator. Absolutely terrifying. Walked down 7 flights of stairs in the morning to avoid. Definitely need some looking at.

The front desk agent was very pleasing to talk to upon checkout. Last night when i pulled the sheet back in Rm 2203 there was a bed bug this ruined my whole night. And the curtains was fifthy. The night front desk agent did not want to switch my room at first. Talking about just get new sheets. And I told him I am not staying in that room. I should have recieved a refund. The hotel needs to be updated

This hotel is very rundown and in a location where vehicles enter the interstate we didn’t get to sleep till probably 2 o’clock in the morning because of various vehicles tearing it up, terrible location, the room was a smoked in room although now it’s a non-smoking but really stank. Window was filthy with dirty handprints on it. Curtains were filthy. Do not recommend!

My stay was ok. The staff was super friendly, check-in went super smooth and quick - when I arrived my room was already ready. I liked the 12pm check out! However, the property is VERY dated. The pictures are nice but don’t do it justice, my room had dark red/brown curtain stains on their yellow curtains, the bathroom and shower were dated. The lighting was very yellow all around the room making everything feel old. My bed was super squeaky and the vents were extremely dusty. There were also parts of the wall around my room that had damages and like they “quick fixes” to mask it. I wouldn’t stay here again - all of the staff were super friendly and nice that shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Room was dirty; a Q-tip was found in the bed after pulling back the covers, and there were food crumbs in the tray. I moved to a different room and walked in on a man using the restroom. The front desk blamed housekeeping.

This used to be a very nice hotel with open atrium and waterfall. It is now neglected and the atrium is quiet with dirty carpet. Room was ok. Good shower and good comfortable bed

Last stay we had a renovated room. This time we had an old room. It was a nice large room and bed comfortable enough. Just very old with only sheers on windows so lots of outside light all night. A/C was wonderful as was staff.

I thought the hotel had pillow top mattress but bed was very uncomfortable. very noisy, from the freeway of course but more so from the air conditioning system for the hotel running loadly outside. not a good sleep.

Didnt really have any issues, it was raining and both windows leaked which made the floor around the window wet but that didnt bother us much. The staff was very nice. Breakfast options could be better. The ac in our room couldnt keep up and i over heard several others say theirs wasnt working at all.. the only true issue we had personally was the shower.. not the shower its self but who ever the cleaner is didnt take the time to clean the drain so there was a TON of pubic hair in the drain plug... quite disgusting

For the price I paid, I would have to say it was one of the nicest hotels, I have stayed in. The room Igot was bigger than I was expecting, the staff were freindly and the lobby was nice. The internet is great if you need high speed both up and down. (I needed to upload a 4 gig file while there). Most hotels may have great download speed but super slow upload speeds.

Travelling through the area, booked in advance to make sure we had a spot. Showed up to check in and they had no rooms. They claimed it was expedia's fault but after we managed to scramble and get another hotel the people at the check in desk have heard that story about Trailhead before. Careful when you book this place, they might just give your room away to a higher paying customer.

Desk clerk upon check in was unfriendly and unwelcoming. I don't think she even greeted me. I had my driver's license and credit card at the ready and she said "Give me". I later called from the room to see if there was a secure wifi and she said "No" and hung up. Room is in need of updating and bathroom is mildewy. Tear in curtain liner so I had to prop chair against window to keep curtain closed. Even if room was immaculate, the rudeness of desk clerk is main reason I will not stay there again. Good customer service can negate other issues.

Our first stay at Montana Trailhead Inn was excellent! The hotel is beautiful. The lobby area is expansive, comfortable, clean, and inviting. The desk clerks we encountered were friendly and helpful. Check in and out were a breeze. Our room was clean and comfortable. The beds were great. We were so appreciative that our dogs were welcomed to the property. The hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. There are only a couple of suggestions I have that would have made our nearly perfect stay absolutely perfect: If the pet friendly rooms were located near the exit doors, it would be very helpful when the pups need potty breaks. The breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy would make it great. I almost automatically add at least one star to my reviews for biscuits and gravy. :) Overall, I would say this is the best value in Billings. Great hotel at a great price. We will definitely stay here again, as we stay in Billings often.

Made a room reservation and called ahead to let them know id be checking in late (11pm) was told they would note it on my account, within 2hrs at 830 pm they gave my room away. Didnt call and tell me at all. I showed up to the hotel and they said they had no rooms, the front desk gentlmen was rude and dismissive.

The freeway could be heard all night. Anyone can come in and get on the elevator. They are not key protected. The general area felt unsafe. They front desk looks nice but the rooms are very dated.
