Spotless room, very comfortable. Some noise from our neighbors with children. Staff very accommodating, including giving us an early check in when we arrived. Parking was somewhat limited at night.

The Canal Court is a good place to stay, central, clean and comfortable. However, it needs some basic security and client management. At one point, there were at least 6 children running around the public bar areas, lifts and stairs and yelling and screaming. If their parents aren't going to stop them doing that, then the staff need to have a word with the parents. And sorry if this annoys parents reading this, but NOBODY enjoys trying to have a quiet drink with children constantly making noise, even parents of non-noisy children. On another occasion, three hoodied kids unaccompanied by parents came up to where we were sitting and asked us for money. (No, we didn't give them any.) The staff came and asked them to leave eventually, but there really should be somebody on the door stopping them getting in. But probably the worst thing about the Canal Court public bar areas is the music. Annoying 80s and 90s pop and rock that absolutely NOBODY was listening to. Even for people who like that kind of thing - I assume there are some - it wasn't loud enough to really listen to. And people come to the Canal Court to be with friends, have a drink or something to eat, not to listen to old music. It WAS still loud enough to be annoying, though. That's what really lets the place down, I think.

Have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Love the leisure centre, outdoor hot tub is class. Food is gorgeous, huge helping, and breakfast is delicious. Great location and brillian shopping near by. Staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Will be back.

Wish I had dived into the reviews a bit more before booking.. we stayed one night here and it definitely wasn’t what we were expecting. Towels with stains, floors with stains.. air conditioning advertised but not in our room. The staff was lovely.. accommodating (brought a fan) and our restaurant staff was amazing. The facility definitely needs some upgrading though..

Lovely stay at the Canal Court Hotel. The room was large, warm, clean and comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, in contrast to the waiting staff at breakfast. It makes such a difference when you have staff who smile and greet you, but it was sadly lacking in the morning, unfortunately. Still the hotel is lovely and over all would recommend it. Great location too.

I love everything about this hotel, from entrance at end of Nov, the Xmas Decs are up and the place looks outstanding, the restuarant is superb, the bars are great with singers etc, perfect for weddings or any occasions including big gigs. Then on greeting at reception - The Receptionists are the most polite ever, they look so classy in their uniforms and go above and beyond to help you out. Housekeeping are all kind and friendly too. The rooms are heaven if your overlooking the canal, excellent tv channels all Irish and English, wifi is excellent, a large fridge and kettle for tea & coffee. Bathrooms are fully equipped with all you need so you dont need to bring toiletires, soft and fluffy towels. Wardrobe has slippers and dressing gowns, perfect if you want to use the fab spa and pool facilities, there is also a safe in there. There are blackout curtains and the beds you wont want to leave. Exceptionally spotless and white and clean and soft and fluffy and there is air con in every room...I had breakfast room service every morning and started me off perfectly. I cant recommend this hotel any higher its my favourite in the whole of UK & Ireland and love my trips up from Dublin with no car yet can get around no problem as there is even a courtesy bus from the train station to the hotel, and two huge shopping centres within a 10min walk, incl cinema and behind hotel a big B&M which is so much fun to shop in, cant wait for my next trip!!! Thanks again to the Receptionists!!

Lovely Hotel good size rooms

A proper old style hotel. Comfortable room and bed, good wifi. A bit noisy when a wedding was on on the Saturday but not later at night. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely greeting from reception staff as always, room was lovely and warm on arrival and stayed warn throughout. Big clean comfy bed. THurs was a quiet night Room 203 is over the bar.

Room 203 is over the bar when there is live music at weekends so expect loud music from 9pm - 12:30am. Nice breakfasts, Lovely reception staff.

Poor I added dinner on for my stay over the phone for my parents birthday and paid for it at the front desk and went for the dinner and left to the bar down stairs the girl that served us the dinner run in to the bar shouting you need to pay me 90 pounds infront of the whole bar I said I paid at the desk when I arrived and she said let me go check then came back said that's OK and no apology or nothing very ignored to us plus couldn't get in hot tub as people in it wouldn't get out everytime we checked they were still in it drunk. And to make the stay even worse there was noise all night from next door me and my partner couldn't sleep the whole night. The food was very nice only good thing about are stay.

It was a very busy weekend but the staff were rude. The food was expensive and not good - it was mainly the waitresses that were downright rude. Breakfast was not good. The staff at the spa were friendly and that was ok. Nice Sauna … but this is not a 4 star hotel. No reflection on the town which was fine.

The desk staff were brilliant very helpful, as was the rest of the staff considering it was a Sunday and hundreds was there for a mma competition , as we stayed overhighr the room was excellent very quiet so good nights sleep, breakfast was also very good.

I have travelled to many different places throughout the world but this hotel is as enjoyable an experience that we can remember of all of the places we have stayed. Whilst the hotel is quite impressive, the staff are the ones that made this quite memorable. The locals throughout the Mournes are the friendliest and most polite we have had the pleasure to meet. Thanks to everyone for your outstanding hospitality and service.

Beautiful building, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. Great location so our group easily walked downtown and found a fantastic place to eat. Finished off our night in the hotel bar for a night cap and great chat with staff. Highly recommend!!!

Welcoming friendly staff, from the reception, to the diner to the bar. Lovely, comfortable room. And great that the Canal Court is a good base to trek the local area, including the Mourne Mountains - and the sea.

Not much to do as a lot of buildings were boarded up. I felt safe in the hotel though.

Very comfortable room, central location, and we really enjoyed the bar too! I wish we had had time for the spa, but we did take a dip in the pool and hottub. The express bus to the Dublin airport is just across the street, very convenient!

On arrival greeted by Sorcha, so lovely and kind, room was not ready so got to have a lovely pink gin in bar, again friendly staff. Back out to Sorcha, lots of chats, I admit Im a high maintenance guest but they go above and beyond to help you. Room huge and warm or cool, gr8 tv channels, fab wifi, breakfast in room is great, they forgot me 1st morn even tho card was outside door by 10pm nigjt before but within 5mins dropt me up tea and coffee, housekeeping are all kind and caring...Becks on checkout was lovely too, they just went above and beyond for me and it was so much appreciated. Its my fav hotel in the the whole of Ireland, cant wait til November when Im back to annoy you all again xx

We had a lovely family break from the norm. Rooms comfy and clean. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. The only improvement that could have been made, was the view from the room windows. To be honest though, it was not a big thing; taking the overall experience into consideration.

Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Room was very spacious and clean. We had a meal in the main Restaurant which was heavenly. Excellent hotel.
