I received a lovely welcome form the reception team. check in and out was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels. I had a nice reasonably priced evening meal. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. There was ample good parking and it was in a nice quiet area. Excellent overall stay.

This property was very nice and convenient. The only thing it lacked was a lift. Carrying the luggage up to the second floor was a challenge. The front desk clerk, Sandra was very nice and friendly.

Room was OK but facing car park, adjoining school and Ice Rink. so we didnt see best side of hotel to the rear. Web shows facilities include a pool, sauna etc but according to Hotel pool hasnt been in use for 8 or so years and booking didnt mention exactly what facilities were in use so we werent able to access anything so unable to comment. Hotel kept sending emails to persuade us to upgrade but as links didnt work we thought these were a scam. Overall - Hotel's messaging is unclear and needs to be improved . Wi fi access was intermittent and very patchy. Package didnt include breakfast which was an extra £18.95 PP - factor this in if needed although we cant say if just shy of £80 for 2 of us over 2 days would have been good value for money We used the restaurant for an evening meal once (in a 2 night stay) which apart from us was largely empty. Food OK but expensive with some dishes barely warm but others OK. Drinks prices high/very high. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Would we go again ? Probably unlikely to be honest.

Great western hotel wasn’t quite a hotel …. It’s more like a locals hang out !!! The room was clean and tidy the bed comfy to worked well mobile signal good , bus route great for bath and Bristol just wasn’t keen on the restaurant… no pool either even though it said pool when purchased didn’t use the gym . Parking was ok too . Reception staff nice ..

One of my favorite stays ever! I can’t say enough positive about this property! High marks all around; including, great workmanship throughout! This added to a very relaxed feel! The surrounding property is nothing short of gorgeous and peaceful. The room was top-notch! Staff was wonderful. The bar is fantastic, and the dining was excellent! The surrounding town was beautiful too!

Its a nice hotel for a few days. No change of bathroom towels or room cleaning. You hv to ask for it at the reception desk... we stayed three nights. How can you expect guests to use the towels for three days? I dont might the cleaning (can keep it tidy myself) or that yr bed is not made. Can do that to. But new towels us a must.

I had a nice reasonably priced evening meal. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. There was ample good parking and it was in a nice quiet area. Excellent overall stay.

Friendly staff and room was decent, gym was ok for a hotel gym. Nothing much around hotel so have to work 20 mins plus. Tiny things let them down slightly., 2 long hairs in the shower, crack in the join between wardrobes and ceiling. They were having work done in hotel on restaurant but felt like it didnt impact on me at all. Pleasant stay. Will definitely go back

Payed for a premium room and it was very nice, spacious, clean, big bed and large double shower which was impressive. Room was quiet and had an excellent nights' sleep. Bar/restaurant was a bit cold (in feeling), that's my only criticism.

We stayed four nights while sightseeing the surrounding area. The Centurion is well situated to reach most tourist spots within about a half hour. The whole hotel was well kept and clean. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a meal there that was generous and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and efficient. The only downside was the room was hot. A fan was provided in the room and we borrowed another from reception which solved the problem. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Couldn’t be happier with our choice of hotel room. We didn’t arrive until about 1930hrs, but was greeted by a lovely lady on reception, who asked if we wanted to eat that evening (which we didn’t) & if we needed breakfast (which we didn’t). We paid our £10 as we had been successful in an upgrade request online earlier in the day &, boy, was it worth it. A stunning view from our room (107) of the garden & golf course. The room was very clean, comfortable & quiet. I have to be honest, we didn’t eat here as we couldn’t afford the extra on top, so we provided our own food. Would definitely stay here again. Our daughter is at Bath university, so we probably will!

The Reception staff were extremely helpful when I arrived at changing the room for my elderly mother who could not walk up the stairs. Very kind ladies – particularly the head housekeeper whose name I can’t remember – I think she was Polish.

Lovely hotel and staff. I first stayed here 33 years ago and experienced wonderful service. It is equally as good now. On this visit I arrived very early but they had my room ready within an hour - thank you for accommodating me. Definitiely worth a visit.

Convenient location. Very quiet! Overall gave it 5 stars as the only things we didnt like was the dated feel of the hotel and staff on the bar seemed to not know too much and just wanted to go home. Otherwise a great place with great potential.

The stay was good apart from the last morning breakfast was supposed to start from 7.00 breakfast table wasn’t ready until 7.20 and no coffee at all had to ask to get some breakfast and as I wanted to leave early for a long journey home was disappointed

I received a lovely welcome form the reception team. check in and out was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels. I had a nice reasonably priced evening meal. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. There was ample good parking and it was in a nice quiet area. Excellent overall stay.

Lovely surroundings in a quiet village. Very friendly staff. Five minute walk to bus to Bath city centre. Does not have a lift but for us that was no a problem.

The room was a larger space and the staff was friendly. Room was clean. Towels were nice. This is an older hotel with poor room ventilation, dark and moist for most of our stay. Towels do not dry. Large common areas to stay and window view was nice. Lots of free parking. Meals and bar are very expensive . Nothing really walkable.

We stayed four nights while sightseeing the surrounding area. The Centurion is well situated to reach most tourist spots within about a half hour. The whole hotel was well kept and clean. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a meal there that was generous and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and efficient. The only downside was the room was hot. A fan was provided in the room and we borrowed another from reception which solved the problem. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Friendly staff and very easy check in. Comfortable room and immaculate bathroom. Nice facilities open to the public and popular gym. Suitable for couples and children. Close to a bus route but only a mile away from the town. Spacious car parking.

It was excellent no problems staff were lovely room was perfect the only thing was the breakfast was £60 for the two of us and it wasn’t very nice or much for that price bur other than the breakfast it was lovely would stay here again

Property is clean and well maintained. Had trouble with room cleaning as we expected automatic daily room cleaning. We did not put the room cleaning sign out, so 1st no cleaning. The restaurant is good food, but extremely overpriced for the location for hotel guests. Staff did recommend other pubs in the area which are far better and reasonably price.

By and large it was very good. My niggles - restaurant menu limited and nothing very healthy; kitchen closes at 8.30; continental breakfast overpriced; only one comfortable chair in the bedroom; a bit too golf oriented to my taste. However, service excellent and friendly, and quite a good location to explore central and north Somerset

Slippers always good thing. Great to have proper coffee bags instead of instant. Sadly snacks in restaurant were not very good. Duck rolls, crispy outside and mushy tasteless filling. Cooked holumi (sorry for spelling) overcooked ,chewy and tasteless. However next day ordered cheese board---excellent , wonderful crackers and chutney, interesting four cheeses as advertised as five ! But lovely presentation. All reception staff were excellent.

Room was OK but facing car park, adjoining school and Ice Rink. so we didnt see best side of hotel to the rear. Web shows facilities include a pool, sauna etc but according to Hotel pool hasnt been in use for 8 or so years and booking didnt mention exactly what facilities were in use so we werent able to access anything so unable to comment. Hotel kept sending emails to persuade us to upgrade but as links didnt work we thought these were a scam. Overall - Hotel's messaging is unclear and needs to be improved . Wi fi access was intermittent and very patchy. Package didnt include breakfast which was an extra £18.95 PP - factor this in if needed although we cant say if just shy of £80 for 2 of us over 2 days would have been good value for money We used the restaurant for an evening meal once (in a 2 night stay) which apart from us was largely empty. Food OK but expensive with some dishes barely warm but others OK. Drinks prices high/very high. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Would we go again ? Probably unlikely to be honest.

One of my favorite stays ever! I can’t say enough positive about this property! High marks all around; including, great workmanship throughout! This added to a very relaxed feel! The surrounding property is nothing short of gorgeous and peaceful. The room was top-notch! Staff was wonderful. The bar is fantastic, and the dining was excellent! The surrounding town was beautiful too!

Our twin room was fine. 2 bedside lights would have been preferable. It was hot so the option for air conditioning would have been wonderful. Continental breakfast was very good. Camomile Tea bags in the room pease for next time!

It is a lovely setting overlooking a golf course, and was reasonably convenient for going to Downside Abbey, which was The reason for our visit. Local bus service to Bath or Wells, and we went to Midsommer Norton. Ideally best to have your own car.
