It was great for the emergency i needed it for. They said laundry services but that wasnt actually an option which was disappointing.

Unfortunately it doesn’t have a restaurant and the bar is part of the reception. This should be advised to potential customers.

The rooms were fine. The service at the hotel was fine. Quiet rooms. There is no hot breakfast!! There is no restaurant. Otherwise everything was fine.

The mattress cover and sheet were too small for the mattress and wouldn’t stay in place. The “bar” is a fridge behind the reception desk! Food options limited to the service station food court next door.

Perfect for what we needed. Large clean room Location very good. With lots of facilities nearby. Friendly staff. Beds comfy.

Someone was smoking cigarettes in the room next door, all room was stinking. We also got the room which was freezing and the heating wasn’t working. Had to ask for new room and move all stuff. Breakfast is voucher to next door at the services which were horrible, don’t even bother getting breakfast included in the stay.

Easy access from major roads. Easy access to a variety of fast food outlets within a short walking distance plus a choice of restaurants within just a 2 or 3 miles.

We lived at this hotel for over 5 months while waiting to complete on our new home. The rooms are larger than average and 3 of us were comfortable in there, even with all of our luggage and possessions to make day to day living in a hotel a bit easier. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The free parking for over 5 months was an added bonus and the food court next door offered a good selection of food. The hotel also has good pizza. The hotel is located in a convenient location with easy access to the A1 and even though the area was alway busy, it did not disturb us in the room at all, even though we were facing the parking lot for the area. There is also a little laundry area behind the food court which, while pricey is handy. We had a family room, and while the hotel is not generally meant for long term, it would be handy to have a mini fridge in the room, and preferably a microwave on site instead of having to go next door to use the microwave at the food court. The hotel was more than suitable for the 5 months we were there so should be more than ok for short breaks.

I enjoyed the property, the location was great. There is a food hall right next door which has awesome operating hours. The room were clean and quiet, there was plenty parking. There is a £10 fee if you wish to check-in anytime before 3 p.m., even if it's within the hour (we arrived at 2:15 p.m.) There is also £10 for a late check-out. I paid for it the night before check-out, so I did not have to be disturbed at 11 a.m. (orginal c/o time). I had a knock on the door at 11:13 a.m. requesting we were on the check-out list. I told the gentleman I paid the night before, to which he quickly stated my payment did not go through. I told him I have my receipt l. He stated he'd be back in 20/30 minutes. Before he could return, I proceeded to show my receipt, and my bank statement as proof at the Front Desk.

I enjoyed my stay, definitely worth the price. I just noticed in the bathroom some mold and what not, and dust in the room like nobody has been in the room for the longest time. But everything is what you get for the price, I appreciated the shopping center with a McDonald's next door. Literally perfect for my four day stay in England but the convience stores in the shopping center are pricey. The hotel service was just fine, a little questionable if the room is properly cleaned tho. Upon arrival I did receive a room that wasn't cleaned and smelt like somebody was just in there smoking...so I requested a new room and the receptionist politely and kindly reassigned me to a room clean with NO cigarettes smell, so I greatly appreciated that. But like I said you get what you pay for :)

Room was filthy, walls dirty, mould and spiders all over didn’t get cleaned properly during the whole stay, asked for it cleaning after 2 days and it was like id asked a rude question. There idea of cleaning was emptying the bin but leaving the rubbish at the side of the bin, not making any beds. Remote and curtains were filthy too. Had to buy some wipes to clean the room. Carpet a disgrace too. Will definitely not stay there again, been itching ever since.

Ok as a night stopover, the heater blows cold air even when set to max heat. Cleanliness is generally good but there are a number of mould spots in the shower higher up so probably out of sight of cleaning. And the heater (cooler) vent was covered in dust.The room was £70 , I don’t think it was worth more than £55.

Bedroom was very clean. The bathroom however looked as though it had recently had tiles grouted and the excess grout had not been cleaned off the tiles.

Very dated and unclean, not good. I knew it was a budget motel at a services so didn't have high expectations, but it was unclean and in poor condition. Staff were nice.

Corridors and toilets need deep clean

I have stayed here many times and i have not had a problem before. In the morning the flat bottom sheet had moved and it exposed a filthy mattress covered in blood! Clearly the housekeeping staff knew about this when they made up the bed earlier in the day

Rooms aren't serviced as a matter of course. On arrival there was no soap in the shower. I asked the next morning for my room to be serviced & to provide soap for the shower. I arrived at the hotel that evening to find the room hadn't been serviced at all. They made up an excuse about only having 2 people to service the rooms. Not good enough that you have to request for your room to be serviced in the first place without them then ignoring the request.

I arrived quite late after 2300. The gentleman on the front desk was so welcoming and friendly. He was just a delight and made a perfect first impression. I thought it was so kind of him to offer to bring my bags up for me and asked if i needed anything. The room was spacious and clean. I had no concerns with the room at all. The bed was comfortable and loved the smell of the bodywash provided. In the morning when i checked out, the lady behind the front desk was also a delight to talk to and was also so friendly. Overall, really impressed with my stay. Thank you! I will definately come again.

The hotel is on the same site as 24hr services so there is no let up of traffic noise if you have the misfortune of having a room to the front of the hotel. I had room 204, ok at first glance then you notice the drainage smell coming from the shower, smell of smoke coming through the windows (above the smoking area) and the noise of people out there smoking and talking at all hours. I arrived very late and just wanted a shower and bed. Did not have either. I need to sleep with an oxygen/CPAP machine but there were no plug sockets next to the bed. I asked to change rooms and was informed all rooms are the same. I asked to borrow an extention lead. No extention leads on site. The lad on reception suggested I walk to the petrol station to see if they sell them! Surely I am not the only person who needs a breathing machine at night or a plug socket near the bed? I left first thing, tired and dishevelled. If you have to stay here, ask for a room to the back of the hotel and take your own extension lead if needed. Better still, DO NOT stay here.

Room was clean but was really hot windows did not open more than 2 inches. Basic accommodation but convenient for our needs. Could do with updating and air conditioning!

Quick and easy to book very good rates. bed not the most comfy but used to my own. Over all good value for money

Comfortable but needs some money spent on it.

We arrived having booked a family room for 4 of us. There was a single bed for 1 son and a pull out bed on the floor for son number 2.This bed hadn't been made up, no problem but it was in 4 glides and one was missing so it was wonky. Plus the carpet was all mud stained. We went to reception and the nice man gave us a different room. This was the same, the bed only had 2 feet so was wonky... We just pulled the 2 feet off so it was flat and put them back in the morning. The underside of the bed site unit was all stick and the double bed was damp...probably due to the room being so cold... We turned on the rickety old heating system and it warmed the room up. I use a CPAP machine and there is no plug socket either side of the bed.. It was a problem for me. The little cart in reception with snacks on is a joke... £3.50 for a pot noodle. Parking was easy though and to be fair it was only a stop over but the rooms just didn't feel clean... I will be going to Premier Inn on way home.

The rooms are a really good size, plenty of space and very big comfortable bed. I had a family room which had a big double bed & a singje pull out bed that could become a double, what would have been more useful would’ve been a sofa bed. For a large room that accommodates 4 people the bathroom was very small with the toilet and shower inside and the wash hand basin outside in the main bedroom. Having all 3 in one bathroom is preferable, I want to be able to do all my bathroom routines in the privacy of the bathroom and not have to do some in the main bedroom area. The room was very clean but when I arrived the heating was full on, the room was very warm, too warm, the first thing I did was turn the heating off, later i discovered why the heating was on full, the window in the room was broken and I couldn’t close it fully. It had been very cold weather but had turned milder so on this occasion it wasn’t a problem but if it had been cold still I would have asked to move rooms. It was disappointing to find in a room & hotel that overall exceeded my expectations. I would stay again but not in a room with a broken window I couldn’t shut. Luckily it wasn’t on the ground floor and was Mild. On the plus side, free parking, good services and just off the A1M for convenience but no traffic noise once inside the hotel. Good value for money.

First time staying in a Days Inn. Very comfortable stay. Very quiet considering its a big busy service station; we looked over the parking area, no traffic noise at all. Which made for a very goodnights sleep.

We only stayed for one night, the window was sealed as the handle was broken so we had a fan in the room, which was ok but couldn’t be left on in the night because it was so noisy and the room was very hot. There was no shower gel in the bottle in the shower, luckily I had brought a small bottle of shower gel with me. The bed was very comfy though. As I said ok for a very short stay.

Very convenient stay We chose an upper floor room and that was very hot with only a fan and no air conditioning- the window was broken so we could not open it

The guy in reception was brilliant. The room was freezing cold, realky cold but he bought in a heater while i was out abd the room was much warmer when i returned!

Cheap hotel but does the job. We needed an over night stay and it does the job. One of our other parties had a room that smelt a drainy but they moved her straight away when we went back to the guy on reception who had checked us in. Staff are polite so can't fault it. Nice spacious room and comfy bed

We had to wait in a queue to check in. The clerk wasn't very friendly. The bed was basic and the shower wasn't especially clean. If you want a second towel (e.g. you are staying as a couple and you don't want to share) apparently you have to ask for it explicitly at the front desk since it won't otherwise be provided. In the morning the main shops weren't yet open in Xtra.

On check in we were given the key to an already occupied room which myself and children walked into, with the occupants in bed and the stench of weed hit you as soon as the door was opens. Absolutely horrified and disgusted went to reception where he tried to give us the room next door instead of which I declined as I wasn’t stopping next to a room which oozed the stench of weed. Was given another room which was barely adequate, I paid for two adults and two children, only one of the single beds was made up and there were only 2 towels. Would never stop here again

Overnight stay on our travels, convenient, cofortable and excellent value. Exactly what we were looking for. In a motorway service area so not a destination in itself

For us its convenient for our daughter and her family in the city, the A1 and the A14. Its comfortable and warm a must in these cold days.

Ideal location to break up the journey and at a good price.

Decent budget hotel at the services on the A1. Not noisy at all despite the location. Comfy bed and warm room. Only down side was a lukewarm shower late on the first night. Other than that, better than the price
