We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Torre Fara. The location is unbeatable—right on the waterfront and along the scenic seawall promenade, just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the train station. The hotel itself is in excellent condition and exceptionally clean throughout. The staff were consistently kind, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The front desk team was especially impressive—knowledgeable, responsive, and always ready to help with no wait time. We thoroughly enjoyed dining at the hotel’s restaurant—the seafood and pasta dishes were outstanding. The bar was also a highlight: a great selection of drinks served with complimentary tapas, making it a convenient and relaxing spot to unwind. The pool area was spotless and well-maintained, with a calm and inviting atmosphere. Es hat einfach alles gepasst.Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit , sehr guter Frühstück mit super Aussicht. Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber mit bequemer Beet. Genug Parkplätze draußen und in der Tiefgarage.

We loved the attention given to the moment we walked in. This stay was excellent I was taken back by the hospitality of the Italian and how polite they were. The rooms for my family was good size clean and had comfortable nights resting. The pool was on the side of the hotel giving a good location for sunbathing and swimming was good. The only negative on the pool is that tiles are broken and had caught a chard in my finger. These broken tiles need to be replaced and maintained looked after like Italian women are or any women should be. Very polite staff attentive respecting the privacy of the guests and food reasonably good but a bit pricey because of the hotel location. Walking distance to very good restaurants serving some beautiful fish and local food. Overall I would highly recommend staying here at it ticks all the boxes for a relaxing and fun stay. Because it was good we extended our stay for extra nights which we surely enjoyed no disappointment at all. The weather over the stay was good with occasional rain heavy downpour. Just another negative the hotel management should provide indoor games like cards or family games so when it is raining we get things to do rather than staying in a room. Overall thank you for the lovely test and stay we had and this hotel is on my bucket list for cinque terre highly recommended.

Love this hotel and Chivari. Food at hotel is great, lots of options to walk to near by as well. Staff is friendly, rooms are beautiful and very clean. The pool area is very nice, there is also paid parking available on site, which is great.

Besonders begeistert waren wir auch von der Nähe zu Portofino – perfekt für einen Tagesausflug in dieses wunderschöne, kleine Küstenstädtchen. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an Vanessa an der Rezeption: unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und immer zur Stelle, wenn man Hilfe brauchte. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Schönes Hotel die Zimmer sind neu. Sonstige Ausstattung neu und hochwertig. Der Raum wurde am zweiten Tag nicht gereinigt als wir um 17 Uhr ins Zimmer kamen. Es wurde auf Nachfrage noch gereinigt. Frühstück normaler interkontinentaler Standard. Pool ist schön.

Could not find a thing that we were not delighted by at this jewel of a property. Clean and newer in a 1935 building that sat derelict for years. Private terrace with a small hot tub overlooking Portofino. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was vast and plentiful. You have to try the pistachio coronettos!

Pur avendo scelto la proposta piu economica, la camera era super. Elegante e pulitissima. Lo staff cordiale in particolare le receptionist con cui abbiamo avuto a che fare che sono state gentilissime e disponibilissime. Penso proprio che torneremo.

Beautiful property! My parents and I shared a 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment. It worked perfectly. I would say the pictures on Expedia do not correspond to the actual room. The furnishings I believe are the presidential suite. Our apartment was nice but not as nice as pictured.

Fantastic. Great hotel, professional staff, great location. Just be really careful if you need to park. If you miss the gate it's a 8-minute drive back. The only drawback was the heat in the room (winter). It was very hot. The desk turned the heat off remotely for us but it was still 82+ in there so we had to leave the door open (40's outside) to sleep.

Top modern, ansprechende Einrichtung, freundliches Personal, gute Betten, gutes Frühstück. Hatten Standard Doppelzimmer zum Garten raus. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich Meerblick buchen. Interessant ist, dass sich das Hotel nur auf 2 Stockwerken befindet, der Rest sind private Appartements.

Sehr teuer für wases ist. Wir sind nach 20h abends angekommen und durften kein spätes Check out haben, nicht einmal eine Stunde länger obwohl online viele Zimmer frei waren. Kein Trinkwasser im Zimmer. Bei fast USD 500 pro Nacht, sollte mindestens ein Fläschen Trinkwasser pro Gast inbegriffen sein. Für 2 dl mussten wir 4EUR bezahlen aus der Minibar. We loved the attention given to the moment we walked in. This stay was excellent I was taken back by the hospitality of the Italian and how polite they were. The rooms for my family was good size clean and had comfortable nights resting. The pool was on the side of the hotel giving a good location for sunbathing and swimming was good. The only negative on the pool is that tiles are broken and had caught a chard in my finger. These broken tiles need to be replaced and maintained looked after like Italian women are or any women should be. Very polite staff attentive respecting the privacy of the guests and food reasonably good but a bit pricey because of the hotel location. Walking distance to very good restaurants serving some beautiful fish and local food. Overall I would highly recommend staying here at it ticks all the boxes for a relaxing and fun stay. Because it was good we extended our stay for extra nights which we surely enjoyed no disappointment at all. The weather over the stay was good with occasional rain heavy downpour. Just another negative the hotel management should provide indoor games like cards or family games so when it is raining we get things to do rather than staying in a room. Overall thank you for the lovely test and stay we had and this hotel is on my bucket list for cinque terre highly recommended.

Besides being asked “who are you, what room are you staying in”- (in Italian- fortunately I speak it) by a rude member of staff (the only problem I had here), the place, the restaurant, the beach, the view was worth the belittlement. It was the last stretch of our trip after my Uncle’s funeral in Genoa, and I truly wish I wasn’t made to feel unwelcome for the day but again, it was a dream besides that. Very interesting historic remodeled architecture as well.

Très bel hôtel, une grande adresse à Chiavari des années folles. Un établissement totalement réhabilité, avec goût. Le personnel est au top, les chambres sont belles, spacieuses, et la cuisine excellente. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et varié. Une très bonne adresse pour qui veut se rendre aux Cinque Terre.

Beautiful room with beautiful balcony view. Not a lot of English could be understood by locals and staff but we made do. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable other than the pillows which could use an upgrade. Breakfast was good. Hotel mentioned they had a hot tub/jacuzzi but we were a bit disappointed to find they were only available to private rooms.
