Excellent location within walking distance of paid parking. No elevator, so it was necessary to walk up several flights of stairs. Breakfast was continental with paper cups for juice. Cappuccino was excellent. All staff were friendly. Bathroom was small but adequate . Knees touched wall ditting on toilet . Photo of room booked did not match photo on hotels.com website. Room was smaller than described for standard room.

I loved! The location is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, and everything is very clean. I highly recommend it, and if I go back to Volterra, I'll definitely stay here again. My only complaints are that there is no elevator and the public parking lot is a little far away.

The staff and owners were all amazing and super helpful throughout our stay. Parking is a bit challenging in the town, but with the help of the hotel, you can go all the way in front of the hotel, unload your luggage and go park the car in a remote parking. We are looking forward to going back to the same property next year!

We had a wonderful one night stay. The roof top bar and eatery had fantastic views of the city. The location was convenient for walking to shopping dining and seeing sites.

The hotel is in an excellent position so close to restaurants and museum . It has a great rooftop. The breakfast was excellent and the service was great. The owner was very accomodating and friendly. He even wheeled our heaving suitcases to the car. Would recommend this hotel and will be back

This cute hotel is in a great location right in the center of the walled city of Volterra. The hosts/owners were very nice. Our "triple" room was simple and beds were a bit hard for our liking, but it was clean and there were 2 types of pillows. It is lovingly decorated. Lots of shops and restaurants are literally right outside the hotel doors so really the location of the hotel can't be beat. Yet it was quiet in our room.

Struttura nel pieno centro della città, posizione splendida. Personale cordiale e molto disponibile anche nel fornire informazioni su luoghi da visitare e ristoranti da provare. Camera carina e pulita. Unica pecca, se proprio vogliamo trovarla, manca l'ascensore ma in un palazzo storico è più che normale! Ci tornerei sicuramente.

The drive up the mountain to Volterra was stunning. Then we arrived and parked in a nearby car park long enough to move our luggage to the hotel. The staff was very helpful showing us where to move the car to park for free. The entrance to the hotel is right in the middle of the historic town. So many shops and restaurants to explore. The room was large and beautifully laid out, with roses and sweets on the bed. There are alabaster craft shops around, we stepped down a small alley and found the GMG Alabaster and Ceramic workshop, where Bruno was filing away on his latest creation. There is an ancient Roman amphitheater in town, and just a short walk from the hotel is an overlook across the countryside, be there for sunset! The hotel has a rooftop garden, and the breakfast was expansive and delicious!

Perfectly situated to explore Voltera. we stayed on a Friday night and it was a bit loud outside with young adults enjoying themselves. Ask for a room not facing the street if you’re a light sleeper. Regardless, we’d stay here again.

We loved this little hotel. The proprietors were very friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The only negative is it is right on the main road and thus is very noisy at night if the windows are open.

Expect to be completely immersed in a super historical and somewhat hard to find location. Make sure you have the time to walk the city. You won’t be disappointed. Once you get the typical European details sorted out like luggage, parking and stairs, it’s a place you’ll really enjoy with great staff and excellent customer service. The Moretti family that runs this hotel was very exceptional. They are friendly, attentive, and hospitable. They helped us navigate parking and even met us down the street to help bring our luggage in and to our room as well as describe exactly where to park. They showed us several places to eat and go to for exceptional views. The hotel is located right in the heart of town and very convenient. Room was very clean and neat and well kept as well as a lot of thought was put into decorations all throughout the property. Free breakfast was excellent, one of the highlights. Will definitely be coming back! Try to book this directly with them if you can. We loved our stay and wish we stayed longer in Volterra.

The hotel is in an excellent position so close to restaurants and museum . It has a great rooftop. The breakfast was excellent and the service was great. The owner was very accomodating and friendly. He even wheeled our heaving suitcases to the car. Would recommend this hotel and will be back

This was an excellent place for a little getaway for us. The hotel is lovely. The location is perfect. Danielle was the friendliest host we have ever encountered. I am cursed with having sleeping problems and it was NO problem when I asked if could change rooms! Breakfast wonderful! We would highly recommend. Danielle also gave us suggestions of things to see on the map. VERY happy with our choice of this hotel.

The staff were wonderful. The hotel provided a fantastic breakfast with lots of choice. The hotel is in one of the main streets so very handy to see the sights and explore and close to many restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Albergo Etruria offers decent accommodations in a great location right in the heart of Volterra. The service was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was surprisingly good — one of the better ones we’ve had in Tuscany. The room itself was fine but fairly basic — more like a hostel setup than a hotel. It was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay, and the shower was excellent. Excellent location within walking distance of paid parking. No elevator, so it was necessary to walk up several flights of stairs. Breakfast was continental with paper cups for juice. Cappuccino was excellent. All staff were friendly. Bathroom was small but adequate . Knees touched wall ditting on toilet . Photo of room booked did not match photo on hotels.com website. Room was smaller than described for standard room.

Perfectly located within the Old Town. Lovely couple who manage the Hotel with friendly staff all around that were responsive and helpful in all facets of our stay. Room was spotlessly cleaned daily. Breakfast was much appreciated too.

This is a wonderful place to stay while in Volterra, very ** sweet place. The breakfast was by far the best one so far for us from Rome, Florence to Volterra! They also have a very nice cafe/bar up on the roof. 5* for sure!

A wonderful experience. The room was quaint, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent much more than expected. The family and staff were lovely and the location was fantastic. Right in the heart of the city, in the fortress, felt very safe and was quiet. I would stay here again
