Overall it was an ok stay, just a tired looking hotel, cracked bathroom sink, chipped bowls, stains around kitchen sink, leftover used kitchen sponge was the only thing to use to wash up, no tea towels, just didnt feel clean even after using the shower or cooking. A great location though, and quiet as it's on a residential street. Very limited choice for a vegan breakfast but coffee was lovely and pastries looked great from next door bakery.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Opera Garden Hotel. It is ideally located for visiting all the main sites in the centre of Budapest. We walked everywhere and only used public transport once: to get to and from the Széchenyi Baths, which was very easy (7 stops on Metro Line 1 from Opera to Szechenyi Furdo). Our room at the hotel was very spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. We tended to eat out, but cooking facilities were available in the room if we had wanted to cook. The beds were comfortable and there was a lot of storage space for clothing etc. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice of food options. The rooftop lounge was very relaxing. Without exception staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Balint at Reception who gave us amazing service.
