The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are large, the buffet breakfast is huge, and the food is fresh! The iced Vietnamese coffee was delicious! The private beach area with walkway above the busy street, with chairs, towels, and drinks/food option was fabulous! The staff is kind, and helpful in all ways. They arranged a limousine ride back to Ho Chi Minh City airport for us, and it was wonderful! We will return again for sure!

There is construction in front of hotel toward the ocean which restricts much swimming and other views. Hopefully when it is over it will give much better view for the hotel.

Das The Imperial liegt direkt an einer starkbefahrenen Straße wie das Hotel vom Strand trennt. Dieser ist derzeit (Januar 2025) für lange Zeit auf seine gesamte Breite Großbaustelle. Dies ist nirgends ersichtlich. Der Strand und der Beach Club können vom Hotel über die Straße oder über eine Brücke erreicht werden. Das Hotel ist prinzipiell ansprechend,, entspricht aber in keiner Weise einem fünf oder gar vier Sterne Hotel in Europa. Die Sauberkeit ist nicht gegeben, es passieren ständig Missgeschicke (Klopapier wird nicht aufgefüllt, Duschtücher werden zwar eingesammelt aber nicht ersetzt, die Putzfrauen vergessen ihren Zentralschlüssel bei uns im Zimmer, es stehen falsche Preise auf der Rechnung in der Bar etc.) und es fehlen sowohl Aufhängung als auch Ablagen im Zimmer. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, die Betten sehr bequem. Leider ist das Badezimmer so gestaltet, dass es an der Badewanne kein Duschvorhang gibt und man im Sitzen duschen muss. Wir hatten mit unseren drei Kindern als Suite gebucht. Diese sind standardmäßig mit vier Betten ausgestattet. Das Extra Bett zu bekommen, war sehr kompliziert. Außerdem verfügt die Sweet zwar über eine Küche mit Essplatz, jedoch keinerlei Küchenutensilien, geschweige denn Gläser oder Besteck. Ein Schild weist zudem darauf hin, dass keinerlei von außen mitgebrachte Speisen und Getränke im Hotel verzerrt werden dürfen. Dies ist vor der Buchung nirgends ersichtlich und erschwert die Versorgung vor allem mit Kindern.

Lovely sea view and lovely staff, but improvements could be made to cater for western tastes better and thought we might be able to order drinks by the pool, but waiter never came to us. A little disappointed and consequently ate and had drinks out each evening.

The positives: Perfect location in Vung Tau. Lovely hotel. Spacious room. Comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. Beach club is lovely with friendly and service minded staff. Tasty and delicious food at Sirena restaurant. Lots of activity for adults and children. The negatives: Massage is not good and suddenly not a five star level. Machines in the gym need to be updated as the displays do not work.

Breakfast room is crowded. Many gym room equipments are broken There was no A/C nor fans! In bathroom there was no conditioner! You would have to walk 100 yd to get to a beach that is under construction. Housekeeping personnel talk loud in the hallway! We did not expect a five or four-star hotel to be at a three-star standard level

Lifeguards sind nicht gut ausgestattet. Bei einem Notfall gab es keinen Beatmungsbeutel, kein AED, kein Sauerstoff. Hier hätte ich von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel besseres Equipment für einen Notfall erwartet. Am Strand waren gerade Umbauarbeiten, das war schade. Das Personal in dem Residence-Tower war nicht besonders freundlich. Das Hotel konnte keinen Roller zur Miete organisieren. Die Hotelanlage selbst war sehr schön, sauber und bis auf die Baustelle am Strand in top Zustand.

ホテルから直接バックビーチに出られ、荷物もガード付きのビーチ前のプールサイドに置けるのでとても便利でした。ホテル中庭のプールも雰囲気があって素敵でした。 ただ部屋は掃除が行き届いておらず、シャワーブースに前の人の髪の毛が溜まり、ベッド下は汚れていて残念。シャワーブースのドア前にバスマットを置くとドアが開かないので、バスタブからの移動で床がビチャビチャになり不快でした。更にバスルームと部屋を繋ぐドアガ干渉するので、構造に問題があるかなと思いました。

Expedia customer service: please help me to ask for refund for our bad experience with The Imperial Vung Tau Hotel , see following incident: April 1 , we stayed at The Imperial hotel room 1708 , we had very bad experience! We found out the toilet bowl was clogged shortly after dinner time, we called & the hotel sent someone to fix it around 7:30 pm. But in the middle of the night the toilet bowl was blocked again! Because of the problem with the toilet bowl, our room smelled bad all night long! I notified the hotel next morning April 2rd at 7:30am in the morning, and they sent another person to repair it, but the toilet bowl couldn't be used anymore, still blocked! At 10am , I checked out and informed the hotel management, but they said there was nothing they could do. I asked for compensation , they said I need to contact Expedia because the booking was by Expedia! We paid for an upgraded hotel 5 star, and we couldn’t go to the bathroom the whole night and we had to endure the bad smell in the room all Night !

Tout est vieux et kitch !! Ça ne vaut pas un 5 étoiles !! Vraiment !!! Il sagit d’un hôtel une étoile!! Ça n’a jamais été restauré ni repaint !! Les portes ne sont jamais nettoyées . Les taches sur les murs il y en a partout !

It could be lovely, and probably someday soon it might be? but when we got there its basically just a bunch of construction on the "beach". New beach clubs and/or restaurants etc incoming I guess? Speaking of restaurants and the "beach club". The connected seafood restaurant claims to be in the top 10% of all restaurants world wide. An extremely curious claim ... and while I was eating there, I was wondering what the other 9 restaurants (out of 10) are like. The beach club... its... an old pool, some 20 year old plastic lounge chairs, with a super great view of the beach construction... and expensive drinks. My main impression it was "sad. " Save your money. Go to another beach destination.

Stayed for 5 nights in a Heritage Deluxe King Oceanview room. Quick and friendly check in process. Good sized, well proportioned rooms with classic decor - and a very comfy bed. Good choice of food at the breakfast buffet. And a great pool area - with a very reasonably priced pool side menu. Would definitely stay again when in Vung Tau.

The exterior of the hotel look quite amazing but the room is not to my expectation. It shouldn’t say a 5 stars class. The facility of the bathroom is old and not proper functionable. The air conditioning is not adjustable either too cold or you off it.

Das The Imperial liegt direkt an einer starkbefahrenen Straße wie das Hotel vom Strand trennt. Dieser ist derzeit (Januar 2025) für lange Zeit auf seine gesamte Breite Großbaustelle. Dies ist nirgends ersichtlich. Der Strand und der Beach Club können vom Hotel über die Straße oder über eine Brücke erreicht werden. Das Hotel ist prinzipiell ansprechend,, entspricht aber in keiner Weise einem fünf oder gar vier Sterne Hotel in Europa. Die Sauberkeit ist nicht gegeben, es passieren ständig Missgeschicke (Klopapier wird nicht aufgefüllt, Duschtücher werden zwar eingesammelt aber nicht ersetzt, die Putzfrauen vergessen ihren Zentralschlüssel bei uns im Zimmer, es stehen falsche Preise auf der Rechnung in der Bar etc.) und es fehlen sowohl Aufhängung als auch Ablagen im Zimmer. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, die Betten sehr bequem. Leider ist das Badezimmer so gestaltet, dass es an der Badewanne kein Duschvorhang gibt und man im Sitzen duschen muss. Wir hatten mit unseren drei Kindern als Suite gebucht. Diese sind standardmäßig mit vier Betten ausgestattet. Das Extra Bett zu bekommen, war sehr kompliziert. Außerdem verfügt die Sweet zwar über eine Küche mit Essplatz, jedoch keinerlei Küchenutensilien, geschweige denn Gläser oder Besteck. Pros: beautiful setting, friendly staff, nice pools and play area Cons: bathroom water temperature uneven. Hard to take a shower in the bathtub. No shower curtain so lots of water goes on the floor.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. (kitchen, living room, etc). Suite didn't come with any kitchen/dining essentials. When we call to request, they informed us plates and utensils were only provided to guest who stayed 7 days plus. Room did not offer a safe to keep our valuables. Made request on 3 different occasions, safe still not provided.

Let\'s start from here: I booked a double deluxe room with a sea view. It\'s description says separate bath and shower, and in a room description they present a bath with a window with a sea view. And this was my criteria to choose. First we got a room with shower only, later we got a room with a bath only, and there was no bathroom window in any of them. We had to give up. Hotel wasn\'t fully occupied, therefore an upgrade wouldn\'t be a challenging decision. We arrived to a hotel in a middle of a night (3 AM). At 8 AM cleaning service was ringing a bell to our room for cleaning. To remind you: this is a 5-star hotel. Here it is a bad service, not a mistake. We asked them to come back in 30 minutes, going to breakfast anyway. They returned in the afternoon when we were already back from a full day sunbath. Later we had to explicitly ask to clean the room. We spend there five days, and the bed sheets were not replaced :/ Breakfast: yes, this is 5-star breakfast :) but this was not enough. They have a private part of a beach. But the bass-high electronic music makes it merely "good enough". This was our third trip to Vietnam. We love revisiting places. Sadly, we won\'t come back here, nor recommend it anyone. Pricewise you will find numerous better stays in the area.

Expedia customer service: please help me to ask for refund for our bad experience with The Imperial Vung Tau Hotel , see following incident: April 1 , we stayed at The Imperial hotel room 1708 , we had very bad experience! We found out the toilet bowl was clogged shortly after dinner time, we called & the hotel sent someone to fix it around 7:30 pm. But in the middle of the night the toilet bowl was blocked again! Because of the problem with the toilet bowl, our room smelled bad all night long! I notified the hotel next morning April 2rd at 7:30am in the morning, and they sent another person to repair it, but the toilet bowl couldn't be used anymore, still blocked! At 10am , I checked out and informed the hotel management, but they said there was nothing they could do. I asked for compensation , they said I need to contact Expedia because the booking was by Expedia! We paid for an upgraded hotel 5 star, and we couldn’t go to the bathroom the whole night and we had to endure the bad smell in the room all Night !

Due to tet holiday, the hotel was extremely busy. Things to note: make sure you bring CMND (Vn identification) or passport. If passport is non- Vietnam, make sure to include visa entering VN. We arrived 2h30 after long trip so was pretty tired. Were being told to wait as checkin time is 3pm, they asked for phone number to contact when room is ready. While waiting, you were offered welcome drink which is very nice and refreshing. After an hr or so, we asked again and apparently the room is ready. Except for checkin, service is overall good, nice hotel, room has some worn out. Few steps to the beach, a bit far 1-2mile away from central with food and entertainment.

Staff and service was excellent. From bell boys to kitchen staff and front desk clerk are very helpful and care making us feel very important. Front desk were very accommodating and help us change room as we were not happy with our first room. We had number of issues with our room and after calling front desk ,problem gets fixed within minutes. Massage therapists were very skillful, I had one of the best massage there. We were very surprised the hotel gave us a complimentary limousine ride back to Saigon after we checked out. That were way above our expectations. Food were also very good and a lot variety. Loved the coffee machine. Highly recommended

The good: Staff, breakfast, pools, beach access, ornate and stylish decor. The less good: It's a little remote. There is not much within walking distance, unless you like giant open-air seafood restaurants, of which there are many, but their reviews aren't so good. The food at the hotel restaurants is excellent however. If you want a lazy getaway where you lounge by the pool, go to the beach club, and eat in the hotel, this is perfect. If you want a little more variety, then accept taking taxis everywhere (admittedly still cheap but a pain).

The property is absolutely First Class. The issue would be a lot of construction as Vung Tau is growing into a major destination. We won’t hold that against The Imperial Hotel, it just bears sharing. There are roadblocks and noise which will no doubt subside. Hopefully soon. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the food is great. Very helpful friendly staff. The beach has way too much rubbish, even in front of the hotel. But…this is a special property!

Big spacious bedroom and bathroom with very big communal balcony. Breakfast let it down for me as I went 10 minutes before closing and everything was either cold or put away.

The good: Staff, breakfast, pools, beach access, ornate and stylish decor. The less good: It's a little remote. There is not much within walking distance, unless you like giant open-air seafood restaurants, of which there are many, but their reviews aren't so good. The food at the hotel restaurants is excellent however. If you want a lazy getaway where you lounge by the pool, go to the beach club, and eat in the hotel, this is perfect. If you want a little more variety, then accept taking taxis everywhere (admittedly still cheap but a pain).

The hotel was nice. The staff were somewhat friendly. The hotel has a no outside food or drink policy which was really irritating. Especially when that isn’t revealed until check in and the room was non-refundable You are forced to eat at the on-site restaurants or find something local. So if you don’t feel like leaving your room you are stuck with the hotels extremely over priced and limited room service options. I would call the room service a down right rip off. The breakfast buffet that we added on to our room was decent. Something I ate gave me a bad case of food poisoning. I was extremely ill for the last four days of our stay. My wife was fine and we basically ate the same foods. The hotels private beach section was nice

The positives: Perfect location in Vung Tau. Lovely hotel. Spacious room. Comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. Beach club is lovely with friendly and service minded staff. Tasty and delicious food at Sirena restaurant. Lots of activity for adults and children. The negatives: Massage is not good and suddenly not a five star level. Machines in the gym need to be updated as the displays do not work.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but this experience was so bad I felt compelled to warn others. The room smelled like damp mildew, and the bed was unbearable—sagging, with springs poking into your back. My wife had to take sleeping pills just to get some rest. The food? Awful. The buffet was the same every day, clearly reheated leftovers, and tasted like it. Save yourself the risk of food poisoning. The private beach, the main reason we booked, was unusable due to jellyfish season—something Expedia or the hotel failed to disclose. The beach itself was across the street, poorly maintained, with construction noise, broken chairs, and rusted facilities. Service was also lacking, requiring constant effort to get attention. To top it off, the shuttle company the hotel uses, *Toan Thang Car*, was a nightmare. The driver tried to scam us into paying extra for better seats, and later, the van broke down, leaving us stranded on the roadside. This hotel is far from a “5-star” experience and is a complete waste of money. Ownership clearly doesn’t care or want to invest into maintaining the property it needs major work. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Breakfast room is crowded. Many gym room equipments are broken There was no A/C nor fans! In bathroom there was no conditioner! You would have to walk 100 yd to get to a beach that is under construction. Housekeeping personnel talk loud in the hallway! We did not expect a five or four-star hotel to be at a three-star standard level

Stayed for 6 nights. Really liked the location of the hotel right opposite the beach. The hotel has its own section of the beach where it has its own beach chairs. Rooms are a good size. Good choice for breakfast. Check in was a little bit slow. Would stay again.

The hotel is old. There is no air conditioning in lobby. Guest leaves the room and all electric shut off leave the room very hot when come back.It is 5 star hotel but cannot compare to others. Staff are wonderful.

My stay here in 2026 was alright. The pool located on the beach was taken away, as that was the main attraction of this hotel when I stayed here in 2024. For a $400/night stay here for the 2 bedroom suite, we called for 4 bottles of water (less than $1 market price) and was told it would cost $10 to bring it to our room. Breakfast is mediocre. Staff was a mixed bag. View is nice. Paid pretty much for the view.
