Nepean Shores by Gateway Lifestyle Holiday Parks

We liked the property we stayed in. Our own parking space, good size property. Looking a bit tired in shower, and oven didn’t work but we still enjoyed Nepean gateway and would definitely stay again, as we have twice before.

This park is a peaceful mix of an over 50's community and public holiday cabins within easy driving distance of the Panthers stadium and precinct. It could possibly be a bit more complicated for those without transport. We used it as a base with our young children after a drive from the Central West and found it more than adequate for our needs. Parking was undercover outside the cabin however the park is secured with fob access. There is cctv throughout and a staffed reception that deals with both sides of the business. The sliding door to enter the cabin was a bit loud but not unbearable. The bathroom had free toiletries and there was even a bath, which was a great surprise. I enquired about a late check-out and this was very easily arranged and much appreciated. Although we didn't use them the kitchen had all of the usual basic appliances and the TV channels were limited but we weren't using it enough to notice. We will be back soon!

We have stayed here twice now and have had a wonderful time both trips. The pool is the highlight and we spent a lot of time in it. Whilst we're aware the cabins we were staying in were aged, I didn't realise the condition was so poor. We still had a great sleep and a place to stay, but the steps to the room were questionable, especially for small children. The couch was so sunken it was hard to sit in and the curtains were in dire need of replacement. Regardless of the issues though, the cabins are in a great spot and have the nostalgic feel. My sons had a fabulous time here too and didn't want to go.

Staff great, but no Wi-Fi and TV didn't work for 2 days. Cabins are very tired and though workable, they do really need an upgrade.

Great stay. The kids loved the pool.

Not very good - lacking WIFI ,,not a comfortable set up. Disappointed will not stay here again- way over priced for what little service offered.

Cabin was quiet and located very close to Penrith CBD. The cabin was quite old and had some water rot and mould in the bathroom and the master bed ensemble was extremely worn out (frame sagged). For convenience, it was good value, but wouldn't stay more than a couple of nights.

The original cabin i stayed in was old and dated the bed was hard the carpet left my socks black and it was sticky light bulbs did not work on the veranda I don't think I will stay there again.

Front light couldn't turn on as my son got zapped from switch cutlery and utensil were dirty when i remove sheets for cleaner matress protector dirty stains behind front door dirty

It was easy to do late check in and room was good but mattress was not great and carpet was filthy!

Great to find a cupboard in our studio room, would be even better if there was a coat hanger in there! Very basic but clean except for the carpet full of stains. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

It was clean and close to where we needed to be. Would stay at this property again.

The bed was like sleeping on concrete

Good for the price and a convenient location for our needs. Spacious for two people. Somewhat dated inside with particleboard cabinetry starting to wear and in need of a makeover.

Air conditioner was so loud and took over an hour to heat (it was 3deg) cabin was shabby, thread bare carpet, toaster didn’t work. But it was very clean. No smart tv. No light on porch so hard to see when comming in late.

Pleasant stay. Renovated room is very clean and modern. Generous room space and quite area. Highly recommended.

Like the location and it was clean and tidy but i was surprised by how small our accommodation was. You could hardly move in the studio units. Had to put the suitcase on the bed as there was literally nowhere to put it. Totally ok to have a shower and sleep but would not want to be stuck in the room as it was very small.

Good location and overall a presentable offering. However, it’s on the expensive side for what it is. We came back late and left early over the 5 days, so were unable to bring to anyones attention that our air conditioning barely worked. The previous occupants had the remote set at 29 degrees. When we turned it on, it took hours to get to a comfortable temperature. Just setting it at 24 degrees and hoping for the best did not work, as we were always cold, until middle of the night we’d wake up with too many blankets on cause the air conditioning had finally reached the temperature set. I prefer 21 degrees, but it takes sooooo long to get there.

Aged accommodation

Staying here was overall, a very pleasurable experience. The staff went beyond expectations in making us feel welcome and helping us in a difficult situation. I cannot thank them enough for all they did.

Staff were excellent, accomodating, helpful, understanding and had good local knowledge. The few minor problems we had were quickly resolved.

Easy access to restaurants and leisure facilities. Friendly staff and fully functional room facilities. Exceptionally comfortable firm bed.

Property was very close to nice walks and cafes and accommodation was value for money. Receptionist was very efficient and helpful with lots of local information.

Staff were excellent. Our cabin was pretty old and outdated. Mentioned to receptionist who was more than happy to move us to one of the newly renovated cabins the following night, they also allowed us to have a later checkout. We were staying 4 nights. Of course it was lucky for us there was a cabin available as that may not always be the case. We had the best time. Thankyou Ladies.

Nice, cosy, quiet, safe and friendly staff service. Will come back again for future trips in Penrith. Very warm welcoming atmosphere. Having a paper towel in the cabin would be nice too. Thank you for a nice short stay we experienced.

When we arrived the television was not operating. Rang the duty person who was there almost straight away, maintenance man arrived a couple of minutes later and found when the electrical Test and Tag people had been in forgot to reinstall the antenna cable. Good service when had a problem.

We arrived after hours and it was our first experience with Reception closing at 5:00. Fortunately there was an after hours phone number for help, but we tried that number three different times before anyone answered, The room was very clean, but lacked any personality. We did have a separate bedroom which made it nice for us, as my husband is a late night person and I am an early riser.

Great facility, great area near river

stayed for 2 nights in a cabin , older style park but cabin was clean and comfortable was convenient for our needs. Nepean River straight across the road with nice park lands and walking paths. close to Panthers Leagues club and cafe and restaurants just down the road.

Comfortable quiet place to stay in the Penrith area.

Great location, nice and quiet. Rooms need a bit of an upgrade. Little bit of maintenance and this would be wonderful. Check in was great, friendliest reception ever. Could walk across the road to the river walk and playground. Some restaurants down the road were in walking distance. Short drive into town for everything else. Lovely stay.
