Embassy Suites by Hilton Birmingham Hoover

The indoor fitness facility was very nice clean and ample. We were disappointed that the indoor pool was closed for the duration of our stay.

Need to get 1 night prorated as I arrived the next day late... Hotel was under construction. Lots of noise and disturbance. Stairs also loud. Room needed repairs and has had lots of botched repairs. Sheets had spots on them. Table and other surfaces not cleaned. Room was the most expensive in the area, but did not meet my expectations at all. Im a Hilton Honors member and a Marriot honors member. I will stick with Marriot next time.

Nice hotel with four super convenient Tesla chargers (located to the left just as you pull into the parking garage). Good breakfast and wonderful happy hour.

Lower standards than previous stays. Service from staff not acceptable. from a five star to less than a three-star service. Food at the breakfast Barr & evening reception not up to standards. Pool area declined, hot tub/Jacuzzi, removed.

I loved it! The breakfast was amazing! Everyone was friendly and the 24-hour access to the gym was great!

I was not please to here the indoor pool was not working and after being told it would be available soon, they kept giving me the runaround knowing they wasn’t able to reopen it.

Clean, onsite restaurant and happy hour

I took my wife there for a graduation present. She graduated with her bachelor's in human resource. We have stayed there before. About 5 years ago and we had a great time , we had friends meet us in the lobby and we sat there and had drinks and snacks and even watch a couple of games. It was fun and my wife enjoyed herself..

The hot tub at the pool was out of service during our stay and when asked when would it be fix the answered was when ever they get to it So I asked for a discount and was told we don't do that The reason we always choose Embassy Suites is because of inside pool and hot tub. I asked about the travel agent discount and was also told they don't do that also but over all room was great as usual

Pool was down, all elevators except for 1 was down, customer service at front desk in the a.m. (audit shift)was completely horrible. The room next to me had many kids and they were very noisy I only got 3 hours of sleep.

Our stay was mixed. Most of the staff was friendly, especially Connie who helped in the breakfast area. What a lovely person. There were some impolite service however (front desk) and my guess is their staff training is mediocre. What really bothered us was the uncleanliness of the hotel. The room needed a really good deep clean around the baseboards and in the bathroom. This is not to diss the daily service. But our room hadn’t been fully deep cleaned in a good while. And the pool was completely just disgusting. The floors were gritty feeling and there was black layered grime around the entire perimeter of the pool, bathroom doors and exterior doors. There were sunflower seed shells and bandaids each day we were there and just mystery goop all over. No one must clean the pool area. There were also safety hazards with broken floor trim in a few places, but I probably would have overlooked it had the pool area been semi clean. The breakfast quality and service we received in that area was really the only bright spot for us. The omelettes were tasty and other breakfast choices were quality too. It was a really good breakfast and, the area was clean…probably because of Connie!

Hotel was dirty, falling apart. Rooms were dirty, falling apart and smelled bad.

Great location and clean property

I called twice to get sheets for pullout and no one answered. I had to go down to the desk. Then I called for extra towels and they never came. I called the desk and no one answered. I had to go downstairs to get them. The floor in our room was so dirty that it turned our feet black. And every light fixture in our room had a different shade of lightbulb. We won’t be back.

The room for the most part was clean,but I noticed dust in the bathroom floors.

This was my second time staying here. The room I was in this time just felt like it wasn't cleaned well (there was still some hair in the shower from previous customers). Some of the items in the hotel were broken (fridge was leaking, mirror that opens into the closet wasn't shutting properly, the bed made a lot of creaking sounds, and a lot of additional noise either from A/C etc.) Otherwise staff was very nice, felt very safe.

The hotel is definitely not what it used to be. Renovations are needed and staff need to be more attentive to the cleanliness. Our room was just ok. I found leftover items from the previous guests in our room which indicates the room was not cleaned thoroughly. This is a deal breaker for me. The snacks during happy hour were a huge disappointment. The elevators were dirty and smelled weird. I don’t plan to stay here again.

I was very disappointed for the price. There was no current internet connections. 1 usb on the alarm clock. That’s it!! We had more than 2 devices. There is construction going on and the worked until 6pm on a Saturday. The TV in the bedroom was not connected to the internet so it did not work at all. The air conditioner did not work properly and it felt humid in the room. I was not happy for the price I paid.

Hotel is in need of a remodel!

Very clean. The rooms were well furnished and perfect for us.

Beautiful hotel, but our smoke alarm beeped about the time we were ready for bed. It did stop, but of course I worried it would go off in the night. After more than an hour I called a 2nd time and they finally came and disarmed it.

We arrived and check in was easy, but upon entering our “premium suite” we realized what a bad move it was to stay at Embassy Suites. The room desperately needs to be updated, the table chairs didn’t match, one was a desk chair with wheels and one an old dining chair. The sofa was not comfortable and the sofa bed inside was old, squeaky, not comfortable and there was no bedding provided to use the sofa bed. There was some sort of gooey white stain on the skirt of one of the beds, 3 holes in a wall next to the other bed (we stuffed plastic in them in case a camera was behind the holes!) and food and drinks left behind in the fridge that had obviously not been cleaned. The 2 beds in the bedroom were comfortable at least, but that didn’t help 2 people in our family who had to sleep on the awful sofa bed. I can’t believe one night here cost almost $500.

Room was a good size. Walk in shower was nice however the water pressure was weak. Beds were extra firm.

Fast and friendly service. The room was perfect. Honestly the nicest room I have stayed in in a long time. Nice seating area with sofa bed, separate bedroom with ceiling fan. Large clean bathroom. Just really nice!

I typically stay at the embassy suites when I go on my business trips and they are all fabulous, I must say that this Embassy Suites needs some upgrading inside its rooms..

Room layout is pretty awesome. We traveled with 2 adults and 11,8,&2 year old children. The hotel is huge and nice. Kids loved the pool and breakfast was top notch. The lounge area with tvs and a bar was one of the coolest parts to be honest. If I were traveling with friends instead of kiddos, I could see having fun hanging out there. Parking wasn’t bad at all, but I don’t think they were full. Will return in the future.

We were told we had adjoining rooms that we had requested, but when we got to the rooms they did not adjoin. We were told there were no other rooms available. The shower was broken, the TV did not work in the bathroom had not been clean properly.

Lots of rudeness from employees , stayed without room key for 1 day and credit cards issues double $$ charge !! Finally got my credit card fix, but they were rude and impolite. They even called police on one of the families that were traveling with us denying they double charged his credit card and refused to provide print out.

The staff were friendly & so helpful!!! The lady who checked me in made it possible for me to check in early…so that I could get to the baseball tournament on time. So kind!

Room not ready upon arrival and had to wait over an hour.

Absolutely loved it!. Everyone was kind and helpful. I left my work phone by mistake but the staff was great at locating it. The manager was nice enough to mail it to me in South Carolina. I always book with the Embassy regardless of my location (Atlanta, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, etc.); however, their customer service dominates the chain and the industry!!!!

The Floor Manager took care of a major snafu on our reservation when our room was given away by a desk clerk. He was able to shift rooms for those guests to accomodate my special health needs. Thank goodness for him because the corporate employees in the national locale were no help at all.

The room was nice and clean. However, the TV in the bedroom did not work. 3 times someone had to come to the room to make adjustments to the cable system to make it work. I requested a blanket and 4 hours later it had not been delivered. Only after my second request was the blanker delivered. Also, there were loud noises coming from other rooms throughout the night so sleeping was difficult. On the positive side, the breakfast was nice. My overall impression is that I can receive the same level of annoyances from a Holiday Inn or Budget Inn at half the expense. This hotel is not worth its over $200 per night cost. I will not be returning to this hotel and would not recommend it to others.

Nice Stay Except On Arrival. I Was Providing I Could Check In Early Due To Me Calling Earlier In The Week To Check & See & The Front Desk Gave Me There Word & Thr Clerk Advised Me That My Room Was Ready & I Would Be Able To Check In As Soon As I Arrive. The Ladies At The Front Desk Was Very Rude At The Beginning & When I Made It Close To Town Cause I Was Driving In From Nashville, My Niece & I To Attend An Event & A Concert, I Knew We Would Be Pressing For Time. However We Was Running Behind & I Called To See If Breakfast Was Still Bring Served & At What Time Does The Hotel Stop Serving, The Lady Advised Me Of The Time & Afterwards She Asked Me Have I Checked In Yet & I Advised Her No, Not Yet But Where Close & In Route & Will Be There Shortly. So Right After That I Was About To Ask Her Another Question Regarding Our Room & Early Arrival Confirmation, I Was Hung Up On. Once My Niece & I Arrived At The Hotel We Was Greeted By Several Rude Front Desk Staff, No One Made Me Or My Niece Feel Welcomed There Was 1 Carcausian Female & 2 Older Black Females, No One Had Heard Anything About My Early Check In Information. The Young Carcasion Female Was Rolling Her Eyes & Was Very Short & Rude With Me. I Asked For A Manager & One Of The Other Black Females Came To Assist, I Explained Everything, & After 2 1/2 Hours Close To 3 Hrs. We Were Finally Able To Check In. I Loved Everything About The Hotel & Ambiance. BUT THE STAFF NEED TO BE ADVISED THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE RUDE!

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Accommodations were very nice.

We book here twice a year and look forward to our stay. The staff here are the nicest, friendliest , most professional people we have ever come across. The Staff is the biggest reason we stay at this hotel. The rooms are great, the food is excellent, you won’t find a better stay than this Embassy in Hoover Alabama.

The location was great, least than a mile away from the mail. The hotel was clean especially the room and the staff was friendly.

Location location location! Right off 65 near Galeria shopping/ restaurants. Managers cocktail event and cooked to order breakfast. All a 10!

We were very pleased upon arriving. The staff was welcoming and the entire property is beautiful. Also, this hotel is conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment venues. We will return for another stay very soon.

We were in Hoover for a baseball tournament. The hotel was packed with baseball families, and the staff handled the large numbers very well. The breakfast was great and so was the evening complementary drink time. We would certainly stay again. Great location for what we were in town for.

Perfect property for our track meet!

The staff were very helpful and the nightly happy hour and daily breakfast were outstanding. We enjoyed the large lounge are with plentiful TV's to watch the football games of the Thanksgiving weekend.

I always enjoy staying at an Embassy Suites. I love the breakfast and made to order items. Rooms are spacious and clean.

The property was clean and well maintained and my stay was enjoyable but the only drawback was the breakfast. This was my second time staying at this property and even though I wasn’t satisfied the first time, I decided to give them another chance but once again, I was not impressed. The options were limited, especially the breakfast meats (not everyone eats pork) and the quality of the food was not at all what I expect from an Embassy Suite.

Our stay was excellent from start to finish. The property is well kept and clean. When we arrived Reina was super attentive and friendly. We had a mix up with the room assignment due to a maintenance issue and Reina swiftly apologized and took ownership for this issue and resigned up a room in less than 2 minutes. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. Breakfast! Breakfast was phenomenal! There is a buffet with delicious eggs, pancakes, sausage, potatos, grits, cereal, oatmeal and a made to order omelet station. All staff at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying here again.

Was in town for a girls shopping weekend. First time staying @ Embassy and we will definitely stay again. Loved the happy hour option and being able to have dinner at the hotel as well. Staff was very friendly. Only downside was the little refrigerator in the room did not work. We weren't there long enough for it to be a real problem.
