The room was clean, plenty of parking, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had a lot of options, especially good gluten free items. The pool was great--quiet and secluded with trees and shrubs, saltwater not chlorine (everything about the pool is a huge plus for us!). The location is very accessible (by car) to pretty much everything in Charleston, beaches, patriot's point, etc. Check out the nearby pier. Plenty of close food spots (we really enjoyed Melvin's BBQ). This will be our spot for all of our trips here.

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. However, the hair dryer didn’t work so I had to change it for another one but had to wait until the end of the day. There was elevator problems and no sign was posted to let us know. So, we stood several times waiting for the elevator on the 4th floor. The maintenance tech finally walked by one time and said “those elevators aren’t working for the 4th floor”. We asked why a sign was not posted. The next day their were signs. It was confusing because the elevator would go to the 4th floor from the first floor, but the buttons didn’t work when trying to leave the 4th floor. That was frustrating. The breakfasts were very good, but there isn’t much seating available, considering how many the hotel accommodates. We would not choose to stay in this hotel again.

Friendly staff, convenient location and great hot breakfast! Note…..the pool is in the shade pretty much all day long. Some may find this a plus however, if you want to get some sun, you can’t. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful!

Stayed there 3 nights. Room was never serviced at all after the first night and minimally serviced the second day. The bed was never made up during my stay. Breakfast was Ok. Front desk staff were very pleasant.

The floors needed a good vaccuum and I found some hairs in my sheets. Not a terrible stay but needs to be more clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Loved that they had water and coffee in the lobby. Water in shower would change temperatures randomly.

We stayed 3 nights and the staff make this hotel wonderful! Every time you enter the door no matter what time someone is welcoming you in and smiling! I wish I could remember the name of the lady on the desk when we checked in. She was just amazing!! The only complaint I could possibly have is that the hallway floor was not vacuumed during our stay. There was a couple piles of black lint and scattered pieces of tiny white paper down the length of the hallway. The same stuff was there when we arrived and still there when we checked out. And the bath tub faucet has the hot and cold water mixed up so you have to figure that out or get a Luke warm shower. Our room itself was very clean & cleaned daily during our stay. We would totally stay here again.

The room was clean and tidy. The only thing was down the hallway there was rooms with dirty towels left outside their front doors. Also, the breakfast area was clean but the ladies in the back were not keeping the food or coffee stocked. And if you mention to them that the coffee pot was empty or the bacon was empty, she smiles and that is it. She took forever to refill anything and you can hear them chitchatting about their personal life. They were not doing their job to refill the food or coffee.

We have a large family so it’s difficult to find accommodating rooms. Room 333 was AMAZING! Two full separate bedrooms living space foyer and bathroom. The AC kept the room nice and cool as well. The pool is outside and in a beautiful setting. Breakfast wasn’t great but it was something.

The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was well appointed. The only drawback was there was only a light filtering shade on the window. No drapes or room darkening blind, so the sun came right in the room at 6am. The breakfast offerings were very tasty, especially the omelet. Overall, a great stay!

Terralin and Glenn at the front desk are absolutely amazing employees and human beings. They are both experts in customer relations and I highly recomend this location to anyone coming into the Charleston area. The entire staff go above and beyond to help make the most enjoyable and comfortable stay while you are visiting. Thank you, Holiday inn in Mount Pleasant.

Top tier customer service! The check in attendants were friendly and accommodating. Every employee I encountered, had a wonderful demeanor and great attitude. I enjoyed the hospitality from the free freshly baked cookies, to the tasty free breakfast, and the text messages regarding our stay! My room and the hotel itself was clean, modern, and well kept. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were quiet and peaceful. The entire atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. I will definitely book again and recommend.

We had reserved a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed, but when we checked in they put us in a standard room with 2 queens. We went back to tell them that they put us in the wrong room, so they switched us to a standard room with a king bed, but still not the 1 bedroom suite that we had booked. Again, we had to go to the front desk. They were doing everything they could to not give us the suite that we had booked and paid for. After demanding the suite that we had booked, they finally put us in the correct room. I’m not sure why there was a problem putting us in the room that we had booked months in advance. Once we had the right room, the place was great with no complaints at all. We’re just confused about the blatant switch-a-roo of the room at check-in.

At check in we were asked for a CC for incidentals. This is standard at most hotels. what happened next is not! My card had a hold put on it for the total amount of the stay all though the room had already been paid for in full prior to arrival. I made the hotel aware of the mistake and was told that it would be taken care of and charges removed. instead the charges went through and I am currently out an additional 750 dollars until I cant get resoluion.

I was told when I called a month prior to our stay that we would have an adjoining room per my request. Not only was this not the case we were assigned rooms in two different floors. I was also told when I called that there was a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Again not the case.

Extremely close to the Cooper bridge which will get you to downtown Charleston quickly. A quieter area than downtown, but still very close to everything. Kayaking and other beautiful beach/water experiences nearby. The continental breakfast was varied and delicious and the pool was a nice benefit.

This is a nice property, 10 10-minute drive to Kings Street. If you are looking for a bit more reasonable stay close to Charleston downtown, this will do.

Great stay! Very friendly staff, phenomenal breakfast! If I could change anything about it I would say it needs more parking space. The location is perfect for either driving across the bridge to Charleston or going the other way to patriots point

The room was great. It was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downfall was breakfast. We got to breakfast at approximately 9:15. It is posted to close at 9:30. However, there was hardly any food left and they were not replenishing anything. There were a lot of people wanting food. The employees were annoyed we were there and wanted to eat. We quickly grabbed what we could and sat down. Meanwhile, we watched several employees go into the food area and come out with full plates of food that they were no longer offering guests. We normally try to get to breakfast earlier, but had gotten in late the night before. We didn’t expect to be offered almost nothing when we should have still had 15 minutes to grab food. The next day, it seemed to be the same situation even though we were there at 8:45. Not quite as bad, but not great. The food offered was good, if it was made available. You just really got the feeling that they were mad you were there. Besides the breakfast, we would stay here again.

Overall, the hotel was good. The staff was very nice, it was well maintained & clean. The breakfast wasn't the best with watery eggs & greasy bacon or sausage. Also, they ran out of fruit quite often. The biscuits were good.

The bed was so comfortable. I have severe back issues. Never had to take any painkillers when woke up. The hot breakfast was wonderful. Offer eggs, choice of 2 meats, hot oatmeal, fresh pancakes, fruit and full bread selections. Staff was so friendly.
