The room could be improved, it was a little tired, the main thing was that the bed was quite hard. It was clean and comfortable apart from that.

We stayed at this hotel 18months ago and were so impressed we booked again as a stop off on route to Southampton. Couldnt have been more different. The outside of the building looks shabby. We were given a room upstairs with no lift which was far from ideal with luggage. We didnt request a ground floor room which we were allocated last time. The room we were given was cold and smelt damp. We could only control the temperature by turning the radiator on and off but it was only hot at certain times. There was dust standing up on the skirtings, the taps in the bathroom we in very poor condition and the hot water tap in the basin didnt work just spun round. It felt like it hadnt been used for months and they had suddenly had to put it back into service. The windows were running with water when we opened the curtains in the morning. We didnt try breakfast just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Shall not be staying again.

Nice spacious rooms which are very clean and comfortable. Ample parking. Breakfast is great. Only suggestions are to include other options for the continental breakfast like cheeses and meats; and better coffee
