*Pros- Overall the stay was pretty good. Ulysses at the front desk was a great help! When my wife and I checked in we did not have any firewood and he not only gave us for some firewood, he even carried it to the room for us! He was more than helpful! The cabin was nice and upgraded with new cabinets, countertops, flooring, & carpet throughout the cabin. *Cons- When we used the fireplace, the smoke did not all go up it, but rather spilled into the room and we had to open the front door to let the smoke out. I double checked the flu and it was indeed open and there was smoke coming out the top of the chimney. This most likely is due to the inside at the chimney needing to be bored out and cleaned so the smoke can be drawn out of the fireplace and not go into the living room. I also noticed when using the toilet and leaned over,.. the toilet leaned with me lifting off the floor. Apparently it was not bolted to the floor. The ice machine on site was broken and we could not use it. The place definitely has potential once the owner addresses these issues.

Good value for a holiday weekend. The room was clean for the most part, but pretty weathered and tatty. Little bit of an ant problem, but we are in the middle of the woods. Great location. pool looked nice, but didn’t use it. Nice firepits. Nice people.

Location and service was great! Parking right next to your cabin, quiet and beautiful. My only complaint is the driveway... one of them has a huge bump so be careful driving in and out. If you have a truck/suv or raised vehicle no prob, but my camry had to be very slowly and carefully maneuvered.

Our cabin was very spacious and appeared to have been remodeled relatively recently. There were a couple of soft spots in the floor of the spacious bathroom. Furnishings are residential. Our cabin did not have air conditioning and we were there on a relatively hot day, but it was workable with open windows at night and a fan going. The pool is unheated and the spa water was a bit murky. Staff was not immediately available when we arrived and the intercom to contact staff was not working. We had to stroll the grounds to find someone to help us. Note that there is a steep cleaning fee if you leave any dirty dishes, etc.

Nothing but nice things to say about the staff at Bay Meadows Resort . Ulysses, the manager made sure we were comfortable and if we needed anything he helped us out right away. Our first stay at a cabin and it was a perfect couples getaway. Definitely try the sauna! Our only con would be if you have a car that sits low, be very cautious going into the lot as the bump is deep. Our nissan altima scraped the bottom each time going into the lot.

Pleasant stay at a quiet property. Nice and quiet a walkable to lakefront. Small cottage was fine for me and dog to relax in for two days. Pool was chilly but the hot tub was nice. Nice area to lounge outside with fire pits.

The staff very rude and my stay there were very uncomfortable. The room was very dirty. Firstly I opened the window to get fresh air because the smell was horrible. I am upset to chose this property and will never decide to go this property again. My vacation was not happy 😒

Great place. Valerie was super sweet and very helpful during check in. The grounds were clean and overall general appearance was great. Our cabin had an overwhelming musty smell. We tried leaving the door open but right in the living room, close to the hallway and bedroom doors, was the strongest smell. I was awake most of the night because it triggered a massive headache. I turned the heat on in the wee hours of the morning and that helped a little with the odor. That cabin must have a mold issue somewhere in the crawl space or the attic. I wanted to report it when we checked out but we only had the option to “express” check out (drop the key) as no one was on site when we left (at 9:35 AM). I probably should have said something when we got in the cabin so partially my fault. But still, there’s no way you couldn’t smell that if you pre-checked the room. My husband doesn’t have a good nose but he could even smell it. I work in property management and don’t use the M word lightly.

The only time there is someone in the office is at 3pm for check in. Other than that you’re on your own with zero help. We had no hot water in our room. We had been out all day and just wanted a shower and it was freezing cold. No one would answer the phone when I tried to call. No one there when I went to check out. The guy that checked us in was super unfriendly and gave no helpful information. The hot tub water was murky and gross. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

When arriving to the cabins, it was quite cute and homey at first glance, when getting the key the staff didn't seem like they were happy, then we went to our room, which again at first glance looked cozy, but as we looked closer there were thousands of little bugs on the windowsill, there were some on the bed. We noticed the door to our room wasn't sealed properly and there gaps in the door frame, which in turn once night fell allowed hundreds of bugs access to the room. It truly appears the room had not been cleaned in a while, the amount of dust coming from the ceiling fan, no AC, and a broken fan. Honestly didn't make it worth staying the night. When checking out the staff was rude, left us waiting for a phone call to confirm our check out, we eventually had to call him and he was rude. It truly is a shame, the location is great but the upkeep was terrible. There was also a for sale sign so that might explain things.

Quiet property near near 18 and walkable to lakeshore and nearby media. Small comfortable rooms that are dog friendly for a fee. Had minor issue with tv which is WiFi. Great selection of streaming channels available once I found out how to operate. Very pleasant stay.

“Sofa bed” turned out to be a lumpy, leather futon. Bright lights shone through the window and prevented my kids from sleeping. Property manager was nice and tried to help but couldn’t do much.

Location is nice - close enough to Boulder Bay and to the village and resorts. Room was comfortable, really enjoyed having a fireplace. Bed was super comfy too. Wifi signal was mostly consistent throughout the stay. Friendly staff. Would stay again

This place was wonderful, cozy and comfortable. The standard room was spacious and even included a sofa bed. The only downside was the door lock and key, which gave us some trouble. Additionally, the shower was not quite large and lacked enough space to move comfortably, causing water to splash onto the floor. Overall it was a nice place to stay and would recommend.

Property management/pool maintenance personnel’s dog quite aggressively barked at anything/everything. Pool closed too early at 8pm. While the room was cute and private, no a/c, and the ceiling fan couldn’t be put on high because it wasn’t balanced.

It was a very comfortable stay...our unit is clean and we have the luxury of utensils, microwave, mini fridge that we really needed on this trip...also there's a bbq grill available in the property if needed and no problem with parking at all. The location's proximity to recreation, grocery and food is just perfect! Ulysses the manager is super helpful and accommodating. I would definitely comeback to this place and be happy to recommend this place to my friends and family ;-) I'd highly recommend this place to stay in Big Bear

-Easy to find -Very friendly and attentive staff -Clean rooms -Excellent shower -Nice gas stove -Sauna in great condition -Walkable to lake -Comfy bed -Staff helped us charge an EV, which was much appreciated:) Overall it’s got a cabin vibe, and they nail all of the basics. Would absolutely stay again!

I stayed here for my girlfriend’s birthday and I was so happy with everything about this place. They are very accommodating and truly went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! They gave us a free upgrade because it was my girlfriend’s birthday and even offered to keep the jacuzzi open for an extra hour. I’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this place to friends and family!
