Overall it was a great stay. Elevator was a little slow but the stay went well.

Enjoyed a very restful night. Convenient exercise equipment. Great place to stay.

I just stayed one night. I liked everything about the hotel except the pool. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Room was clean and nice. The indoor pool was foggy/murky and there was an odor in the pool area as well. It smelled like fish. The hot tub outside was nice so we stayed in that area mostly. I traveled with a child and he wanted to swim which was not fun. Even sitting in the pool area was gross as all I could smell was the odor.

Magnificent breakfast choices. Plenty of towels. Was disappointed that the hot tub was out of order. It was a primary reason for selecting the stay. The hot water in the bath tub was luke warm. The bed was Super comfortable.

FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY if you're in town for Rocking the Rails! My husband & I came to Palestine TX for Rocking the Rails with Blacktop Mojo. The location was perfect...close to the sitewhere we boardedthe train & close to downtown nightlife/live music! Parking was a breeze, the lot was on-site, well lit, safe, & FREE. Check-in took less than 5 minutes & the Front Desk clerk was friendly & knowledgeable about thr area. Our room was spacious & the A/C worked well (no temperature caps) & had been turned on before our arrival. I mention that, because it's hot in TX, (it was 100 degrees yesterday) and it sucks to get to your room & open the door to what feels like a sweatshop in hell. But enough about that...Our room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, the shower/tub was hair-free, the bed was VERY comfortable & there were plenty of pillows, the water was hot, & full breakfast was served the next morning. We will definately stay here next year when we come back for Rocking the Rails!! Oh..ignore the 'Face masks must be worn at all times' notices that are posted on the booking sites and hotel door/front desk etc...Must be just a vestige of the so-called pandemic :)

The hotel is self was pretty good. Was in a great location. Seem to be clean. Have a few issues, the indoor heated pool was very cold and was told could not be warmer. The pool was very cloudy, and it smelled fishy in there. The hot tub should be for adults only. We tried for 3 days to get in hot tub. there kept being kids in it playing like it was a pool.

Checking-in was tedious. Not sure if it was the computers or what. Our toilet was not functioning properly. We had to call staff twice. There was some remodeling going on. A SkyTrak was parked right outside our window. Workers started before 8 on Fri! And right around 8 on Sat! Not very relaxing! Could have been better.

Was clean and quiet with amenities like a shuttle to go to and from the Train depot for their Polar Express experience.

The place was clean, REALLY clean. Comfortable, quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast. Thank you for a great experience.

The room itself was perfect until we found ants in our room , all in the bed & even in the bathroom .

Stay was nice until the last day when there was a roach in the shower. Just need exterminator I'm guessing. Other than that everything was nice and clean

The room was very clean and comfortable until we went to lay down. The bed should have been theown out several years prior to our stay! Saged worst than a hammock! Uncomfortable tonsay the least.

Place was nice and clean. The mattress sank in the middle.

We were on the third floor for one night. The air conditioner didn’t work terribly well, as it was hot and stuffy most of the time in the room no matter how low we set the ac. The mattresses were pretty worn and sunken in the middle, especially the pull out bed. There were also stains on the carpet. Other than that, it was quiet and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool. I would still probably stay somewhere else.

The front desk is friendly and the room was clean. The AC not work well I couldn’t get it below 74. The bed was not that comfortable and the noise from the hall and above me was loud all night.

Great, convenient, basic stay for riding the Texas State Railroad. Friendly staff and large rooms. Would stay there again.

Bed was too soft. Elevator was old and slow. No railing for those with disabilities to hold on to in bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the entire property was well maintained. The staff was very helpful, always pleasant, and greeted us with a smile every time we saw them.

They knock at the door at 11 sharp. I said I needed a little more time as I was sick at washroom. They rang the phone, knock at the door every 3-4 minutes (llouder and louder) until I left at 11h40. The front desk guy, Non-stop! When I left, the room maid was simply doing another room. I never saw this in other hotel, front desk man becoming litterally crazy at 11 sharp for checkout time!

Definitely our place to stay for the Wiggy Thump festival! Free shuttle was great. We left something irreplacable in our room and the housekeeping staff went digging through the trash and found it for us to ship it back. Service doesnt get any better than that!

All was excellent, as usual. This hotel has the greatest front desk staff! They are always attentive to my needs, and customer service is second to none!

We are a family of five. We paid for the extra person as expected. However, upon arriving we noticed that we only had four towels. We called to the front desk for an extra towel and we were denied. Evidently, they only give out four towels per room. I spoke with the manager in person and she said she wasn't allowed to give my an extra towel for the fifth person in our room. Instead, she gave me a very thin, torn up pool towel and said that was the best she could do. It was very torn up and stringy. As thin as paper. I guess we were expected to share a towel? The entire hotel smelled moldy. Our toilet was running nonstop, and our air conditioner kept freezing and stopped working. We had it set to 72 degrees. The coffee maker, cups, and ice bucket were all in the bathroom which is just unsanitary. Terrible hotel. I'm not sure why it was rated so high. That's why we chose to stay here.

12 days and still have not received my deposits back to my credit cards. Spoke with hotel and they claimed that all measures had been taken to ensure refunds but they still have not cleared their pending status

Was asked for a card for incidentals at check-in. Card was charged multiple times and I received notifications of this on my phone which I then showed the desk clerk and was assured that the charges would be returned after check-out. Room was ok. Several yogurts in their fridge at breakfast were expired. No one was at the front desk the next morning when I went to check out. I waited awhile. I received my credit card statement and one of the $50 charges was never refunded. I called the hotel and was out on hold then told that the charge was for a missing pillow. Also told that their house keeping never makes a mistake so I must have taken it! Wow, so you have expired yogurts and no one watching your front desk but housekeeping staff is flawless (good to know) makes me feel less screwed over for being fraudulently charged an additional $50 for a pillow I did not take. The hotel responded to my review on google, stating that they were glad I was able to speak to the manager. No, actually I have not spoken to the manager but have left messages that I would like to do so, though it’s clear that they are going to stand by their claim that I’ve stolen a disgusting hotel. There are multiple reviews of these type of charges I’ve since seen online I will know to require that a manager personally walks my room before check out when staying at a 2 star hotel going forward. This wouldn’t have happened at a better hotel, I know that but there was not a better option where we traveled.

The room was great as usual!! I always choose to stay here when I come. The staff is always great too.

We booked 2 rooms at comfort suites through hotels.com. When we arrived the first receptionist we spoke to was very nice but could not find our second room. She asked another woman for assistance and she rudely informed me that they do not have another room and are fully booked. She informed me it is not the hotels fault that I shouldn’t have booked through a third party hotels.com. She said they are fully booked and there is nothing they can do about it. They did have a cancellation and called us to see if we wanted the room. We said yes but they would not honor the price that I had agreed to pay on hotels.com so we ended up having to spend more even tho we had confirmation we booked 2 rooms at a set price. Now our credit card is pending charges from 3 rooms. The stay was subpar and definitely not worth this headache. I highly recommend if you come to this town for the polar express book ANYWHERE ELSE.

We had a great stay at Comfort Suites. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We loved the Christmas themed lobby area and our room very roomy. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff is always amazing. The breakfast is top notch.

Bathroom sink was not even connected. We had to put the trash can underneath to keep from flooding the floor. Front desk was not very concerned when we let them know when checking out. Pool was clean and we enjoyed that. Breakfast was lack luster.

Been on the road for a month and this was our best stay. Carpet on 2nd floor was so clean in the corridor and on day 2 they were cleaning the whole corridor with a carpet cleaner Breakfast was great with strawberry and blueberry along with whipped cream for the waffles

I was only at this particular location for my son’s college orientation, but if I was ever in Palestine again, I’d stay here. Front desk was friendly and helped me find local areas of interest. Room was big and comfy. Bathroom was a nice size with plenty of toiletries. Breakfast was stellar compared to similar priced chains.
