We stayed here last minute for a conference. It was quiet and close to the train station. Minimal amenities across the board and a small apartment style room. I likely wouldn’t stay here by myself since the road is dark and the hotel is in a few different buildings. Reception was helpful when we stopped but electronic messaging was very slow. We started our stay with broken overhead lights and non working tv. It did the job for the trip.

Imagine this: It’s 35°C (95°F), you’re on the fourth floor during a heat wave, and the afternoon sun continues pouring into your room until after 8 p.m. The room feels like an oven. There is no effective ventilation, and the only fan provided is broken and blows hot air, making the room even more unbearable. I could not stay. Even the hallway outside was cooler than my room. I waited until after sunset hoping it would cool down, but it didn’t. Sleeping there simply wasn’t possible. To make matters worse, I was staying in an apartment separate from the hotel. After 8 p.m. the building was locked, and I was never given an emergency contact number. If I had needed assistance, there was no way to reach anyone. What disappointed me most was the hotel’s response. Rather than showing any concern for my wellbeing or offering a solution, I was simply told they were “not responsible for the weather.” This wasn’t about the weather, it was about providing a room that was reasonably livable during extreme heat and caring about a guest who had no choice but to leave. I understand the hotel does not advertise air conditioning. My complaint is not about the lack of A/C. It’s about the lack of any adequate alternative, the absence of after-hours support, and the complete lack of empathy when a guest was placed in conditions that were simply not fit to stay in. I would not recommend this property as their lack of human care is lacking.
