Although this property shows as accessible, that is only on the ground floor as there is no lift. We were originally allocated a 3rd floor room, my partner is disabled and struggles with stairs. The night manager offered us a change of room to the first floor with one flight of stairs. Then she was able to get us a ground floor room, although the bathroom light was highlighted to us as not working, not ideal. We arrived late and had informed the property of our late arrival and requested a late check in, although we did not receive any correspondence on how to gain access. As stated above we did manage to contact the night manager who gave us the code for the night safe to retrieve our key. Although a budget hotel I expect clean bed covers. The duvet which did not have a cover on it was urine stained, which is not acceptable. This was not the best experience.

On check in the guy at the desk told us wed need to pay for parking along the front of the hotel as the other spots belonged to KFC and McDonalds, and we would be towed if we parked in them. So we forked out an additional $10, only to find the parking lot full on return - including the KFC and McDs spots. When I asked for a refund a different guy at the counter refused to refund us and told us we are allowed to park anywhere and we misunderstood the guy who checked us in. We feel we got conned - not a lot of money, but Ill be telling all my friends to give the place a wide berth. Its also really noisy, cramped, uncomfortable, and a bit grotty. Ill sleep in my car next time if I have to.

The hotel does not have an elevator so be aware if you have to take luggage up and down the stairs. Our room was in the basement with 2 other rooms plus storage room. Was a bit scared staying there and away from the other guest rooms. The sink is across the room from the shower/toilet. Very nice large bath towels were provided, and there is no hand towel, washcloth and bath mat. Hotel is located between KFC and MacDonalds. Nothing else in walking distance.

You get what you pay for But for the price it’s ok Did find a hair on the toilet lid when checking in, No lift Pillows are flat and feel like they are 100 years old When checking in had to wait for staff change over, and computer systems updated, why would you do that at 2pm when that’s the main time of checking in (was first in line and by the time we checked in had 6 behind us)

An older Ibis so the property is a little tired and no lifts - so stairs required to reach the rooms. Good beds, clean linen, decent hot water for showers in the 'private bathrooms' inside small rooms.

Found a cockroach within the first 30 seconds of entering our room. Shower was questionable, the vent was a whole in the ceiling. Floors were never cleaned for the entirety of our stay (12 days) despite asking for room cleaning service and leaving the sign out at the door every day. Sheets had stains and hairs that were not ours. Limited storage areas, we had to put stuff on the small table, stool, and floor (which we wanted to avoid due to the uncleanliness of the floor). The rooms didn’t smell good, it smelled like sewage. At least they had a water station to fill water bottles and the bed was really comfortable and big but that’s as far as the good things go.

I have contacted Ibis about this stay numerous times and they have not responded to me after 2 months. So…the room I was given was dirty, and mouldy with broken items ie sink had a large piece of wood hanging off underneath and the blind would not close. Mould throughout the room and bathroom Disgusting dirty pillow with stains I could go on but I won’t. I have long been a supporter of ibis but will never stay here again

Check in was very good. The gentleman was very pleasant and great, very clear with instructions. The down side was the shower floor was stained and black with left over uncleaned basin from other travellers diry feet. Definitly has NOT been scrubbed for some time. The walls had uncleaned scale from soap and water. The room wall across from the bed looked like it had, had a plate of food and coffee thrown at it. It was stained and above the wooden room rail had what looked like dried food remnants. The bed was made and the room did smell nice upon entry but found that the doona/duvet was not covered and was grey. The pillow was quite comfy though. I would suggest that your cleaners do a better job cleaning the shower and the room walls. We have been staying in Ibis motels for many years and this is the second time we have found it to be disgusting actually.

The room was clean and bed reasonably comfy. The bed is sheets with a blanket not a doona. The aircon remote was missing so could only turn on or off but not manage temperature. Bathroom had mold in exhaust. Noisy location but expected, perfect for a short stay to rest before or after a flight at very budget price.

Rooms are very noisy, with the hotel right in the airport flight path. Flights appeared to cease in the evenings, however a truck outside made lots of noise around 2:30 am, followed by a fire alarm in the hall at 4:30. As we had an appointment at 6:30am elsewhere, followed by a long road trip, our choice of Ibis left us wrecked all day. We'll go elsewhere if we ever need to stay in the area again.

Make sure you go to the toilet before you take a shower, because afterwards that floor will be soaked. Toilet and shower are built in a single shell, and there is no provision for a shower curtain between the two. So once you have taken a shower the entire floor is inevitably wet.

This must be the first Ibis that I will never go back! Being close to the airport, you are constantly disturbed by the airplane noise. The room: the walls are very thin where you can hear next door people talking and even snoring at night. All the Room door has sign for no smoking but the corridor reeks of cigarette smoke. The WIFI is free but none existent. It takes a long time to connect with the WIFI but then it will say 'no internet connections! spoke with one of the staff at the reception about the WIFI but was told abruptly to just put my email and it will work. Stayed 3 nights, no internet connections at all. they offer a kettle with sachets of coffee and green tea, NO BLACK TEA supplied, had to get my own. Did not get any rest at night due to the noises and had to drive to Queensland in the morning.

So noisy, might as well not have any walls, as it sounds like tge people next door is sitting in your bed talking. You can follow everything. And windows did not block any noise frome outside. I have stayed in Ibis budget before, and it has been fine for what it is, but this was horrible!

Super clean and our bed was very comfortable…but bathroom was very tight and sink was outside of the bathroom on the end of the room which was quiet odd other than that i enjoyed my stay it was a budget hotel so you get what you pay for.

Always enjoy our stay, staff are friendly & helpful. Beds are excellent. Very basic & cheap but we have a wonderful night sleep. We’re elderly & have no complaints. Close to IKEA, McDonalds next door & simple buffet breakfast in hotel.

The after hours service is ridiculous. Machine that dispenses room card was not working and could no get access to the room. I then contacted the after hours number located next to the machine could not provide any other than security or wait to the morning had to book another hotel so cannot comment. We requested with a lot of anticipation a ground floor room as they don't have elevator and we were carrying heavy baggage but they did not respond. Upon arrival they gave us a 3rd floor room and the person on the counter did nothing to help and I had to carry the luggage even though I am injured of my left ankle. Also, corridors smelled to Marijuana a lot in 3rd floor and stairs were really dirty. Definitely not coming back. At least, the room was OK cleaned.

The staff is utterly disappointing. Phone is never answered. I had to late check-in and I called about 18 times during business hours with no answer, left 8 voicemails, dropped 2 emails. I had to modify my schedule for the day and take a trip down there only to ask "what's the process of late check-in?". Upon my visit, the front desk team member was answering my questions as if I troubled his soul out of his body. He mentioned the process will be that I'll get a text with pin to their locker box that will have key card. The text will have room number. You guessed it right, I never received that text. When I reached there midnight, fortunately someone was taking out their key card from the locker. So I got mine. But no room number was mentioned. After calling emergency number twice I was given the room number. Never ever I'm doing Ibis budget again.

There has not been any late check-in instructions for me or anyone that rocks up after hours. Yesterday was the worst. Their emergency number for their on site after hrs manager, didn't pick up. So we stood there for an hr. And I gave up calling hotels.com customer service because there is to many damn options and it takes way to long time to get through the automated messages. The location was convenient to the CBD and the airport. Small room but as it was only for one night it was no problem. Only about 15-20 minutes by car to the airport. 10-15 minute walk to the Metro. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided. Happy to stay their again.

This is a convenient place to stay: inexpensive, close to airport, close to St Peters Train station, short train ride to CBD, huge park near by. The breakfast is pretty skimpy. The room very basic and small to American standards. Clean enough for being older. This is a good place to stay.

While it is a budget hotel - it is pretty shabby and some areas need better cleaning and maintenance. I paid for breakfast which I would not do again. I had to pay extra for a barista style coffee ( made by the receptionist) and there were no other choices. This should be part of the breakfast. Additionally the reception staff were not friendly or helpful. Bordering on rude. I would not stay again.

Property is in between a McDonald’s and KFC, not a major negative, just a surprise. Parking is paid per night, however that is to park in an open lot with the McDonald’s and KFC, with the hotel having limited spots itself. Photos do the rooms justice, was surprised just how small the twin room was. Bathroom had a scarily creaky toilet that felt like it was going to come off the wall. There was no bath mat or shower curtain so the bathroom floor was annoyingly wet, especially if that’s your option to get changed in. You definitely get what you pay for. Did have to pay for the breakfast to ensure refundable accommodation but the options looked to be an array of cereals we opted not worthy. Nothing super negative, just a heads up.

Shared eating area didn’t open until 7:30am which is late if you want an early start. Nice range of cereals, fruit & bread. Kettle was missing from my room but was rectified quickly by host. Quilt on bed was quite stained though the sheets were clean & the bed was comfortable. TV was excellent with good reception unlike so many rooms I have stayed in. Handy location with KFC & Maccas adjacent.

I liked the water pressure in shower window in the room... But the clean pile of plates for breakfast top one was cleaning the one under was dried up mess... Pancake machine didn't work and only fruit was apples .... nothing was labelled thought it was cream but it was not didn't even know what it was Told there was parking...got there and there was not much....
