We stayed in the Coach House (separate building away from the pub) and the noise from the room above was quite bad with people walking around on the squeaky floorboards. We had dinner in the pub the first night and my partner had the hunter's chicken which was almost inedible as it was so overcooked and dry that he left half of it. Unfortunately, the mattress was quite soft which didn't help our backs.

You need sharp eyesight to see the hotel as it's right on the roundabout. It was perfectly placed for where we needed to be the next day. Parking was not a problem. The room was an odd shape and in need of new carpet. The doors are fire doors and they really did Bang shut every time someone came in our out of the coach house. The staff were Friendly and very helpful without being intrusive . The tables in the restaurant felt sticky which slightly puts you off although the meals were good. Breakfast set us up for the day it was excellent.

Stay overall was okay. Staff were nice enough and helpful just often difficult to locate at times. Hotel rooms in coach house outside were on the face of it nice. But then you quickly realise they are riddled with spiders and spider webs. Could also hear what sounded like rodents scratching through the night. The coach house is very old and I think this may add to the challenges. The wooden beams in areas were stuffed with loo roll where in were large spider nests and lots of webs. The food was actually good and decent selection of drinks. Parking is fine. Room other than huge amount of spiders webs and rodents were nice enough. I think it just must be a challenge for the age of the coach house possibly. Can’t speak for other rooms.
