Have stayed here a few times but not for a while & was hit with a wow factor walking through the new refurbishment hotel ,room was excellent was given the bridal room with balcony with view over the moors ( fabulous), they have new glamping pods which al try when am next in the area .meals were also excellent had the classic burger also the ribeye steak on another evening cooked to perfection 👌, all round a great stay & very reasonably priced compared to what other hotel are charging but not with the same service or homemade meals 10/10 😀

It was so refreshing and relaxing, we stayed the night as we was viewing for our wedding venue and had a very pleasant stay. Renovation being completed on our stay but it wasn't anything disturbing, can not wait to visit again and see the new upgrad

Very nice room, hotel is being done up so it’s difficult to say what it’s going to look like. The restaurant is a little bit tired and dated but the staff are really lovely and the food was good. My only criticism was that at breakfast. I wasn’t given a choice of what to have, and when I asked if I could order a cooked breakfast, the waitress went away and came back with a full English without giving me a choice of poached/fried eggs, whether I wanted hash browns and sausages, etc. also the evening menu, although the food was very good, I would have preferred a couple of slightly healthier options if possible.

Perfect! Stayed in a shepherds hut which was cosy and had everything we could need. Hostess was friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and we had an evening meal which was fabulous! Not overpriced and a really god choice on the menu to suit everyone! Would definitely stay again

Absolutely fantastic service and wonderful location. Staff extremely friendly and care about their guests. Dinner was amazing, highly recommend the burger. Cooked breakfast was a bit mediocre for £8 but the free coffee, juice, cereal, fruit etc on offer would've more than been enough. Booked a very small room for a very small price. Didnt expect much, but what i got was a very clean and decently well laid out room that is also well equipped and has a killer view. (Kettle, tea, coffee, work desk and plenty of places to hang clothing) Next time my boss sends me up this way I'll definitely be insisting on this accommodation.

We stayed in the winter in room 11 & it had an amazing view over the hills & fields. Outdoor play area for kids which would be amazing in the summer.Rooms was clean, cozy & beds really comfortable. Cold breakfast is included with stay which was good & you can upgrade to hot if you want. Owners have a beautiful Weimaraner who's very friendly once you get to know it. Overall great stay, would definitely recommend.

Stayed New Year’s Eve and even on New Years Day they were serving breakfast. Inclusive light breakfast of cereal and toast and tea/coffee and you could upgrade to full breakfast. Lovely clean rooms and friendly staff. Would stay again.

Room could do with a little update, but excellent value for money. Beds really comfy, as we're the pillows and im really fussy! Really nice quiet room, didn't hear any noise. Breakfast was great too

Staff were absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond. One of them took us outside, despite the cold, to show us the night door. Expedia room description is incorrect. Many of the room amenities were not present. However, a free light breakfast is included with all the rooms. This was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, tidy and functional but very noisy. We could hear people talking & the TV in the room next door, creaking floorboards & snoring from above and various other noises, which disturbed our sleep. The location is absolutely fantastic, within a short walk of the highest point in Oldham, and lots of other interesting walks, including a quarry where there's a waterfall.

Fantastic stay, 2 nights, check in was easy, breakfast fantastic (cheap and proper ingredients) Attention to detail from Jasmine who checked me in and boxed the breakfast off. Hotel has super views and there’s a random Peacock knocking about. Would definitely stay again

Started off well with the exception of the room smelling of smoke, but woke up in the morning to find the reception door was locked between 7am and 7.30am that prevented us from getting to the breakfast hall (breakfast started at 7) and from being able to check out. We tried to knock and even called reception but to no avail. Sent two emails to the hotel and received no response after a week. Seems this hotel is in need of a new manager.

When everyone else had lost their minds for prices on the day of Oasis, this place offered a fabulous service at a great price. Only disappointment was that we didn’t get to spend enough time in the hotel to enjoy the fantastic views.

Room was comfortable unfortunately I had room looking into a central car park so no views of the stunning country side but I guess someone has to have this room also the food was excellent but the service was slow I sat for 40 mins after finishing my meal waiting for someone to ask if I wanted a desert and eventually gave up and went to find someone to pay my bill. I also found it difficult to dry my hair as there was no mirror in the bedroom
