Staff were friendly and helpful. Our oom when we found it - our room number was oddly out of sync with the others and not in the direction indicated by the signs, was basic but clean. A small fridge was a useful addition. Bathroom was good with plenty of hot water and good pressure on the shower. The beds were absolutely awful. You could feel the springs and every move led to a loud twanging noise. They were not fit for toddlers never mind adults. The hotel appeared to be busy as there were lots of cars parked up however we didn't see many people at all and the hotel was nice and quiet during the night. We didn't eat at the hotel due to other reviews we read so can't comment.

When was clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. Some areas in need of upgrading. Good value for money though and convenient for Prestwick Airport.

The room was clean but very basic. The decor very bland and not any pictures to make it look more homely. It was very plain and boring. The fridge was very handy. The bar was good. The breakfast was ok but honestly not a lot of choice for the price charged. The staff in the morning were friendly but evening staff not so much. Bar manager was nice though. The beds are small and not very comfortable. The kids beds were just camp beds. Wasn’t a huge amount of parking so had to park on grass. The grounds were huge and kids can have a good run around but it’s just grass. In the ameneities section of the hotels.com advert for this hotel it said that the rooms were air conditioned but no part of the hotel was which wasn’t good in this heat although they did have fans which was helpful. Did find it misleading on behalf of hotels.com. The other thing was our room was a walk in shower and the advert said bath over shower. It was actually cheaper to book direct with the hotel which is something I wish I knew before although breakfast was cheaper with hotels.com. All in all it was an ok stay but I don’t think we will be back as I don’t think my back could take the pain.

When we arrived, there was no one at reception for at least 5 minutes. The room was roasting. We weren't told what time breakfast was so we missed it. 7-9 at weekends is early when checkout isn't until 10.
