Clean rooms, nice staff. No pool!

The site on hotels.com and on hotel website lists this hotel has a pool. It does not. False advertising. When i inquired about it they stated they have not had a pool in over a year. I was there 9 months ago and they did. The front desk personnel stated i need to dpeak to the GM but did not give me his/her name or contact. When i asked another front desk staff member why they havent taken it off all sites, again I was directed to GM. Asked for contact info. I was given a name but no number or email. Hotels.com should be verifying amenities of hotels on their sites.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The facilities, lobby, and beverage/eating area were nice. Nice, quiet rooms, especially at night! The afternoon coffee break with freshly baked cinnamon rolls was a nice surprise. Couple of suggestions to consider for continuous improvements: 1) Room was nice appointed. The air conditioner was effective but loud in hot summer weather. Bed had fairly firm support, but the pillows on the bed were too soft for support: obtain enough firm pillows to provide a mix for each room? 2) The breakfast eating area tables were nicely spread out. The serving area had a bad traffic jam at the far corner, with people using the eggs, sausages, waffle maker, toaster, and supplies: how can we spread these out? Consider providing those great freshly baked cinnamon rolls or biscuits per Hampton Inn at breakfast? Mixed, cut fruit is a great adder to all the other offerings, and very healthy on its own. These are my votes anyway, as breakfast probably often attracts second guessers. 3) Business center with computer for printing out airline boarding passes was greatly appreciated. An Airprint enabled printer would be very nice, next time have to replace the printer. Then people would be able to print these out from their iPads or iPhones. But would need set up with proper restrictions for use by patrons only. Can reply back that y'all received this review with suggestions? Thank you.

Definitely can hear your neighbor through the bathroom wall. But outside of that it was a good clean hotel. No pool exist by the way.

The hotel on expedia said it had a pool. After I checked in and paid, I was told there was no pool. They said they refunded my money but its been 2 days and the transaction still says pending. Staff was great; advertisement on Expedia is wrong. My kids need the pool!

Stay was good, pool was empty and left dirty and trashy.

The inconvenience of having to pay an extra $20 to park where's there are no assigned parking spots. We had to walk half a block to get to our hotel with all of our belongings. And the room service is very limited

STAYED THERE FOR 8 DAYS. IN 1ST ROOM THE TV DID NOT WORK. MOVED TO 2ND ROOM. THE OWNER NEEDS TO UPDATE -THE BATHTUB WAS CHIPPED AND RUSTED AND HAD SOME KIND OF WHITE FILL IN SUBSTANCE. NO ON SITE WASHER/DRYER. ALSO A LIZARD WAS IN THE BATHROOM!!!! POSITIVE SIDE - FROMT DESK STAFF TIKA, MONIQUE AND KAM WERE VERY ACCOMODATING AND WELCOMING. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD CHOICES.

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating with every request. June, the manager, helped us find a room accessible for my husband who has difficulty walking, helped with questions about the treadmill, and provided a cold place for my husband’s medicine. Teaka offered advice about places we should see in Houma. We felt quite welcomed at the Wyngate.

Hair found on the door and “clean” one towel had multiple hairs on it (was from housekeeping and placed under sink).

The room smells like piss. Horrible.

The property was exactly what I expected; the staff was phenomenal. Only reason I didn't give full stars for cleanliness was I found a French fry on the carpet.

Staff Courteous. Hotel is in need of some maintenance. Cracked window in our room and slight urine smell. Breakfast looked good.

The room and hotel, in general, could use a thorough cleaning. Coffee wasn’t stocked in the room but front desk gave me items. The breakfast buffet was just okay.

The hotel was much cleaner than when we stayed here two years ago and the overall experience was excellent. The only thing I could complain about is the ac could have been a little colder. It wasn’t terrible and probably just needs to be serviced.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. The front desk is well managed. The price is fantastic. The room rooms were spotless and clean. I travel all over the country and a state of numerous hotels. This by far for the price is the best hotel. I've been to highly recommend. Love to the girls at the front desk.

This will be our new go to Wyndham hotel in Houma.The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were so kind and welcoming.Their hospitality deserves a 10/10.We plan to come back.

The room was spotless. The breakfast was delicious and most of all the staff are absolutely fantastic. I travel all over the United States for business and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at. I was actually going to check into another hotel, but I will travel the extra miles because this hotel is fantastic.

Not very pleasant welcome and dirty smelly room.

I'll start with the good - check in staff were very friendly. The rest is not so good. Best description of my room was shabby - it needs some maintenance and upkeep. Rust on some of the metal surfaces, bathroom light bulbs did not match, stain on the carpet. I couldn't adjust the volume to the TV from the remote, probably the batteries needed changed but I arrived late and checked out early so didn't mess with it. Largest issue was some sort of water leak which made the carpeting damp and wet to the point that it left wet foot marks on the bathroom tile floor. I wondered why the room felt so humid and didn't realize the very wet carpet until in the morning. I did report that to front desk at checkout which the employee made a note to contact maintenance. The mattress was lumpy but hard at the same time, definitely needs to be replaced and upgraded. Overall room was just shabby and dingy. I was disappointed with the quality considering this is a Wyndham property. I didn't stay for breakfast as I just wanted to leave so I can't speak about that experience.

No coffee pots

This is a very nice, well maintained property right next door to other hotel chains that are almost double the money for an overnight stay. The staff was very professional and helpful and the rooms are larger than most with dlean and comfortable bed and furnishings.... I'll be back!!

Room was great and very quiet.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Only downside is it’s noisy. Woke up to people walking back and forth above us. Could hear neighbors talking.

The room was nice and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was the average breakfast most places off today. The issues I had were the bathroom. The water pressure was horrible and nothing drained well. I was showering in a bathtub full of dirty water because it wouldn’t drain while in the shower. The sink was half full by the time you finished brushing your teeth so you have to rinse the sink out 2-3 times since it would fill up everyone I tried to rinse out.

I was especially impressed with the friendly way thatvivwascgreeted by both hosts. They assured me that they were available if I needed anything. I was surprised that there wasn't a coffee maker in my room. Otherwise, the room was a good value in todays market, especially for the Houma area.

The hot water in the shower was not very hot at all. I have never experienced a hot water problem in any motel or hotel in my life!

All was good, except the property did not have hot water. The staff and management did not seem to think it was a priority to get the problem fixed.

The air conditioning never quite caught up to overcoming the humidity. The greeting at check was excellent. The accommodations were spacious.

The receiving staff, comprised of two ladies, Teaka & Serenity, were one of the best hotel employees that I have ever encountered,and I have traveled worldwide. They answered all of my questions, led me to find a fantastic restaurant and were totally on top of things. I noticed their interactions with other guests were also excellent specially with a couple who solely spoke French. Highly recommend the hotel

Teeka was on duty 2 of the days and she was awesome. Personable, friendly and extremely helpful. Michelle was on the night shift and was also very helpful and courteous. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again.

I expressed daily to the desk staff that the building was nice, the amenities were great, but the staff were Awesome!! There was not one time that we were not greeted or attended too. Had one of the best experiences for a hotel stay.

The location was great for easy access to mardi gras parade route. Close to restaurants. Staff was super friendly and attended to our needs.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a friendly smile that is all too rare, but makes all the difference in the world! Breakfast was good and room was clean. Bed was comfortable, though pillows were VERY firm (normally bring my own pillow but rolled the dice this time). All in all, definitely worth coming back to!

We were told that this place has been upgraded. Our room was dirty. And everything was rusted. Shower did not get but barely warm water. The breakfast was the nastiest thing we’ve ever put in our mouth, And the $60 incidental fee was absurd. This hotel was a waste of money and we did not enjoy our stay.
