Very friendly helpful staff on checkin and checkout. Rooms clean and comfortable and family room was spacious. Leisure facilities good, pool times with 10 year old slightly disappointing but totally understandable why they have this in place!

Had been decorated since the pictures on hotels.com loaded and looked good. Some rough edges. Nice food in the bar. Selfish parking from gym users. In disabled bays and double yellow lines. They need to clamp down on that

Overall the stay was ok, you can’t expect much from 3* in the UK, right?) Staff is nice and helpful, however there was lack of food at the breakfast. We came at 10:10, the breakfast ends at 10:30, there was no hot food left, no tables served with cups and cutlery. The swimming pool was quite comfortable as well as spa area.

Friendly staff, however the facilities are worn and in dire need of refurbishment. This place makes a premier inn feel like a luxury hotel. Changing rooms and pool area was dirty, the floors looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.

Only booked this hotel for their swimming pool. On arrival was told all leisure facilities were open. When i went to the swimming pool i was told the pool was closed till Friday for maintenance. Not a happy traveller. 😕

Disabled parking spaces were being used by Spuddies customers who were using the takeaway. Struggled to find a space in car park and had difficulty getting out of car because of my disability. Quite a distance to hotel from car park. I got the impression that the Gym and Fitness Facilities are the part of the business that is making most money and the hotel is suffering because of this. I detest Self Check In, no service at all in a service industry? I guess thats the world we live in now. I wouldnt recommend nor return to this hotel, it pretends to be something that it isnt.

So disappointing - Normally we find Village hotels to be of a standard, this hotel fell way below expectations. Moved rooms due to cleanliness issues (actually quite disgusting)... Then on to the food - I wish i took a photo (awful)... Hotel so tired, well in need of some TLC, Just not what i expect from the Village group... (and not cheap considering the market they're targeting now).. If you do have to stay - order food on-line (you have been warned)

Beautiful hotel. The room was spacious, lean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The chef needs complimenting as the food was wonderful. The morning waitress was extremely helpful. Cant wait to stay again. Will definitely book here next time im in the UK

Firstly, I was given a 'disabled' room which meant the bath was far too small for the average person to use. The stability bar in the shower is then too close to the shower head to have a comfortable shower. The systern drips for about 20 minutes after flushing the toilet, so I have to close the bathroom door each time. The bed sheets are too small for the bed. the mattress was exposed under the pillows. The room, being on the ground floor and at the front of the hotel meant that I couldn't put the blind up due to the lack of privacy. The window didn't have net curtains either. Sitting at the desk to work was an issue due to the lack of plug sockets near the desk. Breakfast is ok, although the scrambled egg was hard - and that was at the beginning of service. The room and hotel is quite tatty and not to the standard of other Village Hotels that I have stayed in. The only positive was that the TV in the room was quite big and it worked! I wont be recommending this hotel and wont be returning

Stay overall was good, food in the bar was spot on. Only thing if i had anything to say was the paper thin walls. I was woken at 4.45am by a couple chatting in room next to me. Could do with putting the breakfast start times on when booking also as we paid for breakfast only to find out it didnt start until the time we were leaving.

Hotel is pretty from the outside but is so dated and in need of an upgrade. Its a shame the area doesn't have a nicer hotel and this is the best option when visiting family. Next time we will drive an extra 20 min and stay in Liverpool where you get so much more for not a lot more

Nice hotel with great facilities but rooms are looking a little dated and old fashioned. Bed was comfortable and room was reasonably spacious but looked a little rough round the edges. Breakfast was OK with normal selection of items but a little uninspiring.

I have stayed in many Village hotels and this was by far the worst and, had it been my first Village Hotel stay i would never stay again. Upon check in there was an issue with the connection between the booking agent and the hotel and subsequent payment authorisation issue. I offered to just pay the amount but was told this might cause double payment and that it woukd be sorted. I was then awoken at 11pm by the night concierge asking me to go to reception to resolve. I have no idea why this was deemed an appropriate course of action at that time of night. Having had my sleep disturbed the nouse from outside the room continued throughout the night further disturbing my sleep ahead of a busy and important day at work. Upon checkout in the morning there was noone in reception to speak to about my issues or raise this complaint with.

The staff in all departments were fantastic. They were all friendly, polite, professional and very well presented. The restaurant was pristine and the food was at our table in minutes. It pipingvhomtvand delicious. Breakfast was lovely. So much to choose from The only thing I can pick on is the tea and coffee station in the room. Personally, I would have loved to have seen some hot chocolate sachets instead of just tea and coffee. Complimentary biscuits would have been a lovely gesture too. Apart from that it was perfect. This isn't my stay at a Village hotel and it won't be my last.

Wr used this Hotel when visiting Anfield for a Liverpool match. Good value for Money. 20 min walk to the local station and then 20 minut by train to the center of Liverpool.

Was asked as I was checking out if stay was ok - it wasn’t and they asked me to put in an e-mail 1. Reception when arrived was lovely - lady that greeted us v welcoming and friendly - good start and the all downhill !! 2. Ordered room service - only a couple of items available so ordered large rack of ribs - lady came to room - not available !! Asked for chicken wings - not Available Ok - burgers then - not available - said no buns - ok any burger with no bun then - not sure so ordered Tenders as a back up Burger plus bun arrived !!! 3. Had double room - only one set of towels for two of us !! 4. Breakfast - booked breakfast on-line - nobody asked for voucher ! No greeting or explanation so just grabbed a seat - asked where coffee was - told where - no mugs or forks on table - told -quote ‘ they’re on tables set up for brekkie ! Went round whole room - no mugs and guy that said would get me a fork - didn’t !! Both were wholly unhelpful 5. Breakfast was poor - stated tomato and mushroom - no mushroom - this 8.30 but none left !! No potatoes as stated on card and no eggs on offer - poor offering and unhelpful service !!! I used to stayed with village hotels , even holding a Golf membership at Village in Blackpool for several years but service in the past was nothing like this - very disappointed customer !! Sent e-mail to them yesterday am - ( after being given wrong e-mail and had to call to get correct one and heard nothing !!

The best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff. Rooms were clean but a little noisy from the road and very warm. Service and food in the bar was good. However, the cooked breakfast could have been better quality.
