Spacious rooms. No pillow options - they were all the size of a postage stamp and rock hard. Hotel indicated there was a gym onsite (one reason for booking), but this was not the case. They offer a pass for GoodLife fitness which is a 10-15 min walk from the hotel in an unsafe part of downtown.

The hotel room was awesome. It was bad luck that the elevator needed repairing. The outside area was so-so. Still needs a lot of work. The staff were great. The woman who checked me into the hotel was awesome.

Parking was confusing. Shortly after we checked in we went for dinner, and it was too far to walk to where we wanted to go for dinner so we drove. When we left the parking garage we had to pay $9, even though we also paid $17 for parking during our stay. When we asked about this during checkout we were told that that’s just the way it is & that there’s nothing that could be done about it.

It was disappointing. Not as advertised. The room furniture was worn and a chair ripped. The shower did not have a rainfall shower head. The bed was rather low and short. The hall carpet looked dirty and dry wall had been chipped off the wall and was on the carpet.

Property was fairly clean but definitely room to improve. Sticky liquids on floor, a lot of dust around room, and filthy hallways. The largest pain was every time someone in another room flushed a toilet, there was a horrible knocking of the pipes in the ceilings that would keep us awake throughout the night. The knocking sound would last about 10 seconds every time, and sounded like drums playing. For the price of the room, this was not worth the stay. Staff was kind, polite and helpful.

The first room we were given was extremely unmaintained. The air was stagnant and everything was coated in a layer of dust. We were able to switch rooms and the hotel staff was accommodating, but the whole ordeal threw our schedule for the evening completely off. The second room was like walking into a completely different hotel. It smelled clean and welcoming, the bed was perfect, and very quiet.

The bathroom toilet was not cleaned and was full of toilet paper when we got there. The shower was very dirty and didn’t appear to have been cleaned. The carpet in the room was dirty. The hotel itself and its furnishings were elegant and fine but the cleanliness lacked big time. We only stayed for 3.5 hours and left lol

The room furnishing and layout was fairly nice, I’ll give it a 4 star. Convenient location, but the room was the loudest hotel room we have ever stayed in. There were more big loud pop, creaks, and bangs happening in that room than I could even begin to understand. We thought a few times someone was banging on our door, but something in the wall was making a super loud noise at various points in the night (no it wasn’t the neighbouring room having some fun). We didn’t sleep very well at all unfortunately,

Nice Hotel - the bed was very hard - mattress very thin. Towels very small! It was very noisy - we were on street side with garbage truck blaring music before 6 in the morning just outside our window. I would recommend that people stay on the other side of the hotel - Lobby side - I think would be quieter.

Unique hotel and huge room. But did not like the fact that the windows overlooked a courtyard at eye level. We were only there for 1 night but I wouldn’t want to stay longer. London Ontario was like a bit of a ghost town so would not have wandered in the town.

The design of the room was terrible from a privacy perspective. A bathtub in the open, with no curtain or privacy barrier. A shower in the open, without a door, that made it impossible to adjust the temperature without exposing yourself to whoever you're traveling with. Only the toilet had a door.

Hotel Metro still haven’t returned my room deposit, now they are saying that they may keep the deposit because there was a stain on the bed sheet. I was told at the front desk I would get my deposit back within 24hrs my stay wason Feb 5/26 and today is Feb 10/26 I’ve been trying to speak with the manager, I’ve called several times and no one has called me back. I’m worried I won’t get my deposit back and would like hotels.com to contact them on my behalf

We stayed two night here the first night we noticed a small burn hole in one of the blankets. We spoke to the night staff person an told them about it. On check a out they accused myself an my wife of burning a hole in the blanket. She doesn't smoke she vapes. myself I am allergic to smoke. We tried emailing the manger twice an nothing back. One last thing is I must have step on butts outside an throw it in the trash. For doing those things we lost out on our deposit so be careful

The entire property is incredible and beautifully decorated. Clean with lots of nice little touches and the staff were lovely, kind and accomodating. We had an issue with noise above and we were upgraded and given a beautiful bottle of wine. Truely above and beyond.

We didn’t like having to wait until after 4:30pm for our room to be ready. As well as the fact that since there was no staff after 10:30pm we were unable to complain about the excessive noise coming from other hotel patrons in the middle of the night. We were unable to sleep.

Went to an event at Canada Life Place. The hotel is extremely close and has many restaurants within walking distance. We forgot something in the room and received a message in the afternoon on the day we checked out letting us know and they set it aside for me to pick up. Highly recommend.

This is a great boutique hotel. I felt safe once inside but sadly the area has a lot of unhoused people sleeping in the street and I would not recommend walking in the area after dark.

I cannot express how GREAT this hotel is. Its clean. Its safe and its literally right near Canada Life Place. The staff was more then kind and friendly. Please do not hesitate to book here. Its literally a hidden gem. Parking is not onsite tho, but literally across the streeet.

We seek out boutique style hotels when we can. It was a little hard to find as I didn’t really know what the outside looked like. The area around is under a major revamp so not a great area for walking around but we did find a fabulous coffee in the market across the street and a restaurant for dinner as well. There is also more homeless and troubled people that are around this area.

We were in London to attend Sunfest for a couple days, so just an overnight stay at the boutique Hotel Metro. We arrived early evening, parked in the loading zone near the entrance. Check-in was easy. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Once we had our room number and understood the keyless entry, we unloaded our car into our room. Then parked across the street in the Covent Garden Market parking garage for just $C17 that was good for 24 hours. Be aware that entry to the parking garage is from inside the Market (which closes at 6pm Mon-Sat and at 4pm Sun) or you have to walk around the Market block to the King Street entrance. Our 4th floor room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The Euro Open shower/bathtub concept worked for us. Our view looked out at the Market block and beyond. The hotel's location was perfect! A few blocks walk to Victoria Park for the Sunfest music festival. A few blocks walk to Museum London and the Thames River. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Lots of murals to enjoy. And the Market right across the street was convenient for food, gifts, and other shopping. All that at a really affordable price!

Hotel is fine. Rooms are unique and comfortable. No restaurant in and limited options around. Difficult to have DoorDash delivered. Confusion between front and back door. Contactless arrival never worked out with the app.

This is a very cute hotel, very modern and clean. The location is the drawing card, located downtown London right besie Covent Gardens and the Budwieser Gardens. Lots of restauranrs nearby.

We liked the location, as the hotel was directly across the street from the market.. and lots of restaurants near by. We liked the free drink service in the lobby. Parking was across the street in the market.. very safe for the area, and underground, although a tiny bit of a trek if you have limited mobility. We had room 403, my wife did not like the view of the lobby area. You look out the window, and see an indoor courtyard that has skylights. We did inquire what this is used for. We were told that if you book rooms on the 2nd floor, I think it was 3 rooms.. not sure. They said then since its all your party, they would open up the area for your use, otherwise its closed so people do not start peeping into other guest's rooms. This sounded GREAT for a stag/stagette party or family reunion kind'a group gathering. If your planning something like that call, and inquire. Overall service was excellent, staff was excellent, the door keypad was a bit touchy, and you had to be careful not to "double tap" buttons and get your code wrong. But otherwise, the only thing I can knock it for is the unusual view (in our room.. do not know what others have)
