Courtyard Shreveport-Bossier City/Louisiana Boardwalk

The light and decor were full of dust. The furniture looked as if it was not wiped down ever. Pool area did not have enough lounge chairs and area around pool was dirty. Hot tub was broken and had green dirty water in the bottom. First time I have been dissapointed in a Marriott.

Hotel is under major renovation and it should be disclosed Air conditioning did not work properly, hallways were 80 degrees & construction/renovation equipment lining the hallways Half the elevators didn’t work, the other ones were lined in cardboard and painter’s tape

The hotel was great. We will stay again when we pass thru heading home from FL. One complaint - There is not enough parking. Frustrating if you arrive late in the evening.

Price was par for the property, LOW. The advertised shopping along river was 3/4 closed. Bad area, construction everywhere, old bathroom toilet, tubs, were layinng new road to check in. THEY DO NOT CLEAN ROOMS DAILY UNLESS YOU CALL AHEAD TO SCHEDULE. BOTH PHONES IN ROOM DID NOT WORK.

Hotel was nice. However I booked a pool view room for a reason and even let the front desk lady know thats the type of room we request and it was never mentioned that the pool was under construction and not open. I could have missed it being listed somewhere when booking. But this information would have been good to know on check in.

We picked this hotel because of its location to shopping and restaurants, except most of the stores and restaurants were all closed. The pool was closed and there was nothing for my grandson to do.

There were issues with the fire alarm. There was a false alarm 4 times throughout the night. After calling down to the front desk, there were no answers, no apologies, nothing to make up for the severe inconvenience.

The first room they gave us had duty towels in the bathroom the second room didn’t really have a good view. The fire alarm was going off at 12 at night. I went to the front desk to make sure everything was OK.

Clean and comfortable. Easy walk to multiple restaurants and Margaritaville. Unfortunately one of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the hot tub, but it was marked closed. Also someone in a nearby room set off the fire alarms at about midnight, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Pictures are misleading. Room was not clean and smelled like someone left their pets in it for several days. We usually try to stay at a Hampton or Marriott because they are consistently clean. Not this place, stay else where.

Floor was not vacuumed and three items were laying on the floor.

The room was just ok for one night ONLY! The bathroom floor wasn’t clean and the wall where the shower had cracks. Also the thermostat looks as if they had worked on and forgot to put it back on the wall correctly you could see the whole. The bed wear comfortably but I definitely would not stay here again.

The floors felt soggy and it smelt musty throughout the hotel. The beds were uncomfortable with tiny pillows. We did not get no sleep from the banging and constant sounds coming from the room above us . We will not be staying here again!

super disappointed in the deterioration of the hotel standards as a Marriott and also the boardwalk area. The location was the reason for the choice so the boardwalk was accessible, but it is a ghost town now and didn't feel safe. Most places shut or boarded up. The hotel felt grubby, the rooms required deep cleaning and repairs to basic things, even furniture had stains, etc., and the bathroom was really not good. Would not return and cancelled second night.

The rooms were very spacious, and overall nice, but this place in has clearly seen better days. There are stains all over the hallways and in the room I stayed in and lots of little things that are dirty or broken. There is also no restaurant in this hotel at all, which I didn't understand. Not even somewhere to get a drink or coffee after 10am. Lots of loud people throughout the night, just a little bit of a disappointing stay for the price being charged.

Everyone was great and they have an awesome staff.Marke was at the front desk when we arrived and we were allowed to check in about an hour and a half early, which helped because we had a small baby with us and she went out of her way to make us comfortable. There was a problem with my card and she worked with us as I had to change cards and realized that a previous hotel that I was gonna book with had charged my cardby accident even though I canceled. So she was calm, as I was in a panic lol. The only bad thing was there was an incident where my daughter went to the bathroom and there was a huge cockroach in the bathroom and my daughter had a panic attack I call the front des s my daughter, and I do not do well with spiders & roaches & Marke she got on it right away &sent someone he sprayed got the cockroach up put it in the toilet, but by then my daughter was ready to move to another hotel, but Marke move us immediately to a king suite on the third floor which worked out better for my daughter myself and my grandson and there were more counter space for his bottles and baby food. The girl in the coffee bar/ starbucks was amazing as well. She was always upbeat. The night crew was awesome as well.If you call down to the desk or went to the desk, they were always helpful. Marke helped us to check in.I want to have early because we had the baby with us and we were exhausted. I would stay again. My daughter would not stay again because of the incident with the roach but i wo

Comfortable room, although no trash or recycling containers in the room, other than in the bathroom. I would probably stay here again.

Property is nice but the train runs next to it, there’s not a train horn but the side of the building that we were you could here the a loud droning noise all night…

We have stayed at other Marriott's and was expecting the same from this one. Not the case. The mattress was terrible. Would have slept on the floor better. No hairdryer, no bottled water and the tv set up was just weird. The shower was leaking too. For the amount we spent, I expected better.

Very nice room and very clean. Room was comfortable and quiet. I worship definitely stay here again.

Pros: Location is great - right by the Boardwalk (restaurants, entertainment, shopping, etc.), plenty of parking right outside. Hotel lobby seems to be relatively newly renovated. Beds are comfortable, TV has plenty of available channels. Cons: Rooms need updating - old carpets throughout, no usb plugs anywhere in the room, so bring your wall chargers for the phone. Bottles of shower gel/shampoo were coming off the wall of the bathroom. Towels are old / need to be renewed. Rooms furniture is scarse, so it feels like rooms are half furnished

If you do stay here be sure to request a room as far from the railroad track as possible. We had two rooms right next to the train track and our whole family was kept up by the loudest train noise imaginable. It sounded like they were going through our room.

Location. Beautiful view of the water if you have balcony.

There was a train that shook the building terribly. It literally shook our hotel beds and was extremely loud. Made for a very unpleasant stay

Great place to stay with a dinner and activities within walking distance. King room was very spacious and comfortable.

I paid for the room one month prior to staying. When I checked in the lady at the desk didn’t know what she was doing. I ended up getting charged two more times for the room. Hotel.com ended up reimbursing me and the hotel is supposed to be reimbursing one payment. It was an inconvenience since I had to use money that I had budgeted for to enjoy my trip.

The Security guy was very rude and unprofessional. It seems to me he was very prejudice. He stated that we was to loud and when he came to the room he was very unprofessional and he banged on the door like he was the police then he stated that if you wanted to party then you should have went to the bar. And we apologize if we was loud and was trying to talk to him and he was getting smart and as my cousin was walking away she almost tripped and he said oh that’s karma. He was very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL will not be returning here ever again.

Check in took over 20 mins as they did not know how to do an expedia reservation. Also, refrigerator had ice on top and spilled over all our food.

Convenient access to the boardwalk and shops. 5 minute walk to margaritaville

Property is in a good location to casinos and the Berkshire grocery arena..

I loved that it was within walking distance to the Margaritaville hotel and casino.

Very comfortable hotel with generous amenities and friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to and in a great location, with an unobstructed view of the Red River and downtown Shreveport, and right next to a beautiful river promenade and an outlet mall with a variety of shops and restaurants.

The boardwalk is dead. The room was a bit shabby, but I can see why they wouldnt invest, due to the area.

I will never stay here again. There were two major issues. The breakfast is three times the price it should have been and was not good at all for the crazy pricing. It was all just shoved in the microwave right in front of you. There was no parking and a large number of vehicles had no parking permit and were not hotel guests. The desk staff told us we would just have to park elsewhere that the management does not enforce guest only parking and would not tow any vehicles. The hotel was overpriced already. There are cheaper hotels within walking distance.

Wonderful stay, nice atmosphere and Bistro was nice and great Customer friendly service.

The stay was overall good. I liked the easy access to shops and restaurants within walking distance. The negatives were they did not offer breakfast and the only food available at the hotel was a few pastries for purchase. The other negative is there are no chairs in the rooms to sit. We did have a sofa bed that was not suitable for sitting. Most hotels have this problem with comfortable chairs or lack thereof however.

The state was good. I didn’t notice that there was no free breakfast. I usually try to go for that but they did have breakfast for purchase location great, friendly staff. Everything else was perfect.

We enjoyed the convenient bar downstairs. Easy to grab a quick bite on the way out to shop at the boardwalk.
