Highliner Suites Hotel

Great room newly remodeled.

A clean and safe room with a nice bathroom, but the hotel is still being renovated. It looked like some planned furniture or build ins were missing, or not finished. No elevator, all rooms are up or down a staircase. No soap in shower dispenser. Had to ask. Breakfast was a few pastries and muffins, a few pieces of fruit. No napkins, serve ware or utensils, no coffee lids, had to ask. No cold water dispenser. Looks like the owners are trying to make it nice, but are inexperienced. Night clerk was helpful, morning clerk useless and clueless.

Under remodel very clean not high end affordable. Not the best part of town but I’d stay again very quiet.

Saw great reviews and wanted to give this new place a shot. Checked in very easily, got to room and noticed dirty sheets. Someone that later checked in the room next to us had a screaming child that was watching an iPad very loudly and had a dog that was barking and they were banging on the wall. Told staff and they couldn’t move us because they were fully booked, but staff spoke to the guests. The noise slowed down from all the time to only once a minute. Evening staff was very kind and changed the sheets without question. Later found out that the walls are just paper thin, you can hear the tv in the other room very easily and got woken up at 6am by it. I am a superintendent in construction and half this stuff wouldn’t pass. The whole building is slapped together with holes in the shower wall where they miss measured, shower leaks all over the floor because they didn’t seal it properly. Transition in room has a nail head sticking up so you will rip your toe open if not careful. Sink drain is not vented so it fills up when using it. Smoke detectors and lights are painted on. Fire suppression system is cut through the walls at angles. Door frame is pulling away from the wall. The beds are very low quality with sheets that feel like sand paper. Very unpleasant stay and honestly might’ve had better sleep in the car. Also very rough area and was scared to walk down the street.
