Maui Banyan H506

We really like the Maui Banyon property. While it is an older condo complex, the grounds and facilities are well taken care of. Our condo, H210 was very comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen. The two bathroom were great for us as a party of two. The bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely come back to this property and unit again.

However, we felt that the listing description of “breathtaking ocean views” was a bit overstated because although we could see the ocean in the distance from the balcony, it actually overlooks a large concrete parkade. Also, the bedroom didn’t appear to be recently updated and could benefit from a replacement of the mattress and pillows.The amenities (pool and barbecue area) were excellent, and the adjacent garden with tropical flowers and palms provided a peaceful place to relax. The grounds of Maui Banyan are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!

We enjoyed the reserved parking, this was very convenient. The beach was across the street from the property. Walking distance to restaurants and shops!

The room was fantastic with great views. The lower pool was being reconditioned but the upper pool was great.

We stayed at Maui Banyan in Kihei over Labor Day weekend. The location was very convenient, with easy access to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We had free parking close to our unit, the pool area was small but had a nice pool, hot tub and outdoor eating area with access to 5 gas grills if you like to cook for the family. The condo itself had a good layout for two adults, featuring a full kitchen, one bedroom and two full bathrooms. Unfortunately, a significant downside was the air conditioning situation. The small/ old AC unit was ONLY in the living room and didn't cool the bedroom at all, making it too hot to sleep on the king sized bed. As a result, we had to use the small pull-out sofa in the living room, which was quite uncomfortable and definitely impacted our overall comfort. In summary, while the location was great, the lack of proper cooling in the bedroom was a major drawback.

We met a lot of great people during our stay at Maui Banyan. It has timeshare holders, so a LOT of yearly repeat visitors. And no, it wasn’t even mentioned for us to buy, I don’t think they do it anymore. We only ever had 2 issues- one was an incorrect door lock code when we arrived, and one was being unable to get the air conditioning working in one bedroom. Both times management was able to help immediately. Things can always go wrong, but it how they handle it that matters, and they were fabulous. Our unit and hallways/ stairwells are a little dated, but decently clean. There were maintenance grounds workers every single day, and lovely to chat with. Our unit had absolutely everything we needed for our 2 week stay, and plenty of space for groceries and consumables. Never an issue to get pool loungers, even under umbrellas. BBQ grills are almost brand new, in the pool area, it was great to be able to make dinner. Loved the walkability and proximity to the highway. Kam 2 beach was immediately across the street, many beaches within a few minute drive if you are so inclined to go to as many as possible. Fred’s restaurant has always been one our favorites and it is right beside the condo.

The place is centrally located to many attractions and restaurants and steps away from the beach. Parking is easy at the garage next door to the unit. The apartment is very clean, spacious and looks newly updated, well stocked with essentials, has a comfy bed, and the second bathroom is a plus! It is a great value for what you get as well. We would recommend to anyone coming to Maui!

The grounds the location the room and bed was awesome. Even though it their literature they said there might be bugs, there were roaches all over. We had to come home and fumigate suitcases and rewash everything. So not to infest our home, as that would be a nightmare! Our Lanai looked over to a parking garage. Not exactly what I had in mine. Kitchen was nice with all the amenities roaches were a deal breaker.

Sofa bed not working correct. Could not fold back up. Hard to find correct number to report. Pillows for sofa bed smelled horrible. Had to wash 2 in order to use. Had 4 pillows only 3 cases. Only used 2 pillows. They need to be replaced. Lani screens and tracks filthy. Other than that nice enough place

The property was pretty good. The carpet is showing it’s age and did notice some ants in one of the bathrooms. The location, though, is centrally located to the beach and restaurants. It also has a nice swimming pool.

Room was an adjoining room so we could hear everything next door, I was not aware of that. Also no table outside which was shown in picture.

The checkin process was super easy. The condo was comfortable with a nice view…I wouldn’t call it oceanfront but you could see the water from where we stayed. There were no paper towels and no toilet paper which we didn’t know until late at night when we settled in and the stores were closed. Other than that, lovely place to stay. So close and convenient to shopping, food trucks, and the beach!!

This 5th floor (top) condo had everything we wanted or needed during our 9 night stay. We loved the beach (Cam II) across the street. There were restaurants nearby as well as a craft fair that popped up as well. The bed was comfortable and our stay delightfully relaxing. Would love to come back!

The apartment is equiped with everything you need to spend your holiday time, for example, air-fryer, rice cooker, snokling equipment, beach parasol, swim board, chair, as well as basic kitchen things. Only one problem was that air conditioner was not working well. There was a wrong remote controller and we could not adjust temperature, moreover, one of the room device sometimes stopped working, then started to make BEEP sound every minute. So I had to turn off the air conditioner when sleep. However, the ceiling fans worked well.

Property looks how it does in the photos, response from property manager was quick and efficient. The location is unbeatable, walk ability was a 10/10, shops, restaurants, rentals, and of course beaches, you name it, it was close by. My only qualm was it felt like the place had not been updated in a while and needs a little tlc. Furniture was clean and bed was comfortable. Temperature control was great. No bugs.

The place was beautiful, nice furniture and art. It had all the accomodations and amenities of home. The beach was a minute walk with good snorkeling. My husband thought the bed was a little hard but other than that, pretty perfect!

First, the place isn’t 900 square feet; more like 200 sq ft. Secondly, 4 towels were to last the entire stay of 4 days. It should be noted that the place doesn’t have any cleaning services during the stay. Thirdly, the communication was slow. It was noted that the room entry code would be sent 4 days prior. It was sent the day before.

Such a lovely time in Hawaii, made all the more special staying here and having Lynn Taylor as our host. She was incredibly accommodating and helpful. The location, the condo, the lovely staff, the pool, we really enjoyed it all. We would stay here again.

Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t great. One of the closet doors wouldn’t close, the toilet didn’t work properly, and the mini fridge was very noisy. There was also confusion with the parking and door code—our code was shared with the guests next door, which felt very unprofessional. Lastly, there was no shampoo in the room, only two bottles of conditioner. Hope this helps improve things for future guests.

Good location close to all beaches from Mākena to Kihei. Has beach gear and cooler, just had to rent an umbrella and snorkel gear at Boss frogs down the street.

It’s a lovely and quiet area the beach is right across the street. Restaurant and shopping center are within a 10 to 15 min walk. They also provide towels, chairs, an umbrella and a cooler to use to take with you to the beach. The place is very clean and I cannot wait to go back.
