Grecotel Daphnila Bay

Insgesamt ein schönes Hotel, in unserem Zimmer gab es immer wieder Probleme mit dem Kanalsystem so dass es leider teilweise unangenehm gerochen hat. Der Strand und das Meer waren sehr schön. Der Pool auch gepflegt aber leider sehr kalt. Auch der Kinderpool und der angeblich geheizte Indoor Poll waren sehr kalt. Sogar deutlich kälter als das Meer. Das war für die Kinder schade. Die verschiedenen Restaurants waren sehr lecker und es gab ein tolles Angebot an Speisen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam.

Mit den All-Inklusive Leistungen waren wir insgesamt sehr zufrieden (Essens und Getränke Angebot). Ärgernis ist das die buchbaren Restaurant für uns kaum buchbar waren, am letzten Urlaubstag konnten wir noch einen Platz ergattern. Die Anlage ist schön gelegen und am Pool und Strand konnte man sich gut erholen. Der Familienbungalow hat unsere Erwartungen erfüllt und wir waren hier zu viert sehr gut untergebracht. Was fehlt ist ein vernünftiger Spielplatz und die Lage des Kinderpools ist nicht besonders schön. Die Parkplätze sind recht begrenzt und wurden schon in der Nebensaison knapp.

One of the best all inclusive I’ve been to for drinks. You could order pretty much anything and they would accommodate. Food was brilliant as well but is difficult to book in because the demand is high so try and book in advance. We stayed in a family bungalow and the kids loved it. Very spacious and our bed was huge. The only downside to the whole Hotel was the pool area was very small for the size of the hotel and the standard people coming at early hrs in the morning to reserve beds. Overall we had a great time.

I don't have enough words to describe the excellent, friendly, and attentive staff from the reservations call, reception, restaurants' staff and the staff that helped with our luggage! They were all with a smile on their face and work tirelessly in the heat of the Greek summer to provide us with impeccable service. Despite the premises needing a bit of a revamp, I would just return for the excellent service of the staff. That being said, the premises and room were very clean, and the food was delicious with a lot of choices. The hotel sits on a hill but there are golf carts that offer you (fun) rides down to the beach of the hotel. You may need to rent a car if you need to explore the island or inquire for public transportation. Awesome stay!

Das Hotel ist wunderbar gelegen und vom Flughafen in circa einer halben Stunde erreichbar. Ein Bus (ÖPNV) fährt für günstige 1,60€ bis nach Korfu rein. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es gibt einen großen Pool und einen schönen Strandabschnitt. Letzter bietet viel Schatten weil man unter Palmen und Olivenbäumen liegen kann. An einigen Stellen ist die Anlage und die Zimmer ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Personal und der Service ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das wiegt so positiv, dass ein hervorragender Gesamteindruck bleibt. Kulinarisch ist man bestens versorgt, reichhaltige Buffets zu den Hauptmahlzeiten werden ergänzt durch Snacks, Eis, Süßes… Besonders zu empfehlen sind die a la carte Restaurants (Reservierung erforderlich), ein Highlight ist das Abendessen im Danilia Village. Das Hotel ist sehr kinderfreundlich, viele Familien mit kleinen Kindern verbringen ihren Urlaub hier. Für meinen Geschmack waren es zu viele Kleinkinder.

Our stay was overall really good and probably it would deserve closer to 4.5 stars Pros: - Very nice hotel, with great views. Our bungalow room (Paradiso limited sea view) was charming, spacious and the sea view was great. The balcony was a bit small however. - The food was good for buffet standards and there was good variety, particularly at dinner time. The kids also loved the gelaterie by the beach. - Most of the staff were friendly. - The private beach is pretty enough and clean plus the water is shallow and feels safe for young kids. There's not much sand to play though. - The ability to go to the Imperial and the Ava Palace on a boat and use their pool. Cons: - The wasps. There are A LOT of them and at times it made it really uncomfortable. On two occasions we had 5 wasps hovering over our dishes while having dinner. Once three wasps spent 10 minutes walking on my plate and ended up drowning in the sauce. - The swimming pool is quite small given the number of guests and there are nowhere nearly enough loungers so getting them is very difficult. They also ran out of towels twice. - The bar in the swimming pool area would benefit from some shaded areas. - While cleanliness was overall good, they never moped the floor of our room (the cleaner didn't even have a mop) plus we got a couple of dirty bath towels twice during our stay. - The a la carte (except Gattopardo) were a bit disappointing. - The hotel is quite secluded making walking to other places challenging.

this is a lovely Hotel with amazing views great food there are four à la carte restaurants which are very good and the service is excellent The only downside is there is a big hill to walk up if your room is after 650 so be prepared for a steep walk so if you do want to avoid that make sure you book a room close to the reception Also I think there could be a little bit more entertainment in the evenings but the cocktails were amazing I wasn't that impressed with the beach but there was some water sports available

Great place for families!

quiet location with easy access to the beach down a steep slope, which you can either walk down or via buggy which the hotel runs for free. The food is classic Greek - high quality and varied with lots of choice, range of drinks on the all inclusive menu. There is a creche for children on the beach catering to the needs of parents, access to a range of watr sports. overall a great location, friendly hotel and enough shady areas on the beach with more than enough sun beds

First time vacationing somewhere with a kids club. The “Animation Team” surpassed all expectations and really made this holiday for us. All staff wowed to be fair.

We really enjoyed our stay at Daphnila Bay. The family room was spacious so felt like we had plenty of room for the four of us and it was great to have the patio to dry out swim stuff. An honest review below, but the pros of the hotel for us far outweighed these fairly minor issues. The beds were comfy and the mini fridge / tea / coffee / water was great to have included and topped up in the room. We had some issues with the bathroom in our first room, and maintenance deciding to come and speak to us at 10pm about a leak (we had just come back from dinner so maybe they were waiting for us, but I’m not sure why as all day they had said they would get it sorted!). We ended up moving rooms which resolved this. The hotel needs to invest in some do not disturb signs - we were woken by housekeeping on 3 mornings, so that wasn’t great either. And the housekeeping itself was quite limited (beds made and bins empty but not much else, including dirty cups left in the room for 3 days despite raising this). The housekeeping was also improved once we moved rooms so I guess it depends which member of staff you get. We also had some little friendly ants (to be expected in a country and location like this) which we reported and the issue was resolved. For a family with two young kids I really rate this hotel very highlttg

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The cushions on the chairs outside could have been cleaner. Older persons should be made aware that they will have to rely on the buggy to bring them back from the beach as it is steep hill and difficult for older people to climb. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Place was beautiful, most of the staff were fabulous, food great, everywhere spotless but I couldn't book into restaurants because they were full. On asking reception I was told they're usually booked a week in advance. Granted I never checked if there was an email advising this but I would of waited for a nosey anyway.

Our stay was really lovely. Service was excellent and cleanliness was highly noted. The pools, restaurant, bar area were clean at all time.

We booked this hotel expecting a luxurious all-inclusive experience, but sadly, it didn’t live up to its promise. The rooms were worn, the children’s bedroom smelled of damp, and we passed the same litter and cigarette butts every day on the path to our room. Inside, the room was poorly cleaned — dust, hair from previous guests, and insect remains in corners and drawers. The pool is too small for the number of guests, and sunbeds are always reserved. Staff seem kind but lack service training; misunderstandings were frequent. At lunch, I was scolded by a waitress after going to the bar to order — a surprising and unpleasant experience. Food quality was disappointing. Much of it appeared prefabricated, including dry pastries, bake-off bread, and soggy lunch dishes. Dinner buffet lacked taste and freshness. Restaurant Venezia was decent, but failed to showcase local ingredients. The Asian restaurant was worst of all, with frozen spring rolls & soggy noodles covered in Asian sweet sauce from a jar. The website presents a high-end image, but our experience was of a tired, mid-range resort in need of renovation, better cleaning routines, and significantly improved food and service.

A lovely hotel with clean facilities and family friendly options. The staff were so friendly and accommodating for my Dad's 70th and husbands 40th celebrations.

A comfortable and well kept hotel. Private beach and grounds were well maintained. Staff helpful and polite. Super views from the sea view rooms. Easy access to the rest of the island if you have a hire car. Good choice of buffet food. Speciality restaurants ok but nothing overly special. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Grecotel.

We loved the view from the balcony onto the beautiful see.The staff was very dedicated and fulfilled al af our wishes. At the beach we had a wunderfull view and ancient olive trees and palm trees all around us.The buffet had a great variety of cultural diverse foods. Our meals at the specialty restaurants were exceptionally well prepared and immensly flavourful. The only drawback for us were the very hard beds. After mentioning this to the staff they immediatly remedied this by adding a topper to the bed. After that we were able to sleep much more comfortably. All in all our stay was very enjoyable and we recomend it greatly.

Το ξενοδοχείο είναι πολύ καλό. Είναι παλιό, αλλά πολύ καλά ανακαινισμένο. Κατέβαλα για το lux bungalow 285 ευρώ με ultra all inclusive για την περίοδο του Πάσχα 2023. Εξαιρετική τιμή την οποία βρήκα μόνο στο Hotels.com. Το φαγητό πάρα πολύ καλό και πλούσιο, όπως και οι λοιπές παροχές. Το προσωπικό πρόθυμο και ευγενικό, με εξαίρεση μια κυρία της καθαριότητας. Το bungalow τεράστιο. Το μοναδικό μειονέκτημα ήταν ότι το δάπεδο του bungalow, το οποίο αποτελούνταν από πλάκες Πηλίου, δεν ήταν καθαρισμένο καλά. Μπορεί επιφανειακά να φαινόταν καθαρό, αλλά αν κανείς έπαιρνε ένα χαρτί και σκούπιζε το πάτωμα, θα έβγαζε στο χαρτί μαυρίλα.Να σημειώσω ότι το θέμα της καθαριότητας του δαπέδου του δωματίου δεν σχετίζεται με την παραπάνω προβληματική συμπεριφορά της υπαλλήλου καθαριότητας. Κατά τα λοιπά η καθαριότητα στο δωμάτιο πολύ καλή και στους κοινόχρηστους χώρους εξαιρετική.

We had a very poor experience with Hotel Divani Corfu (Review on their property) and ended up leaving that hotel and coming here and I tell you it was a difference of night and day. Right from the begining till the checkout the staff were amazing and the property itself is absolutely beatiful with updated big room and ameneties. I wish I could have stayed here from the get go and not dealt with all the nonsense from Divani in Corfu. Highly recommend if you are visting Corfu.

Excellent food, specially at Hot Stone a la carte restaurant. Great personal stuff; friendly, professional and smiley. Rooms has to update; could give 3 star for room condition. Sound proof is also very bad, you can hear everything from corridor and other rooms to your room.

Had a great stay. Got a bit loud on our last night as the walls between rooms are quite thin but overall a great time!

We had an amazing week at this hotel, perfect for young families with kids. The food was delicious and our favourite part was the crepe and ice cream bar right next to the beach. One thing you won’t be is hungry or skinny! Our only complaint was that our rooms felt a bit damp and they were initially quite cold which I think would be appreciated in the height of summer. Improvements would be small, like shelves in the cuboards and plug points next to the beds for charging etc. A floor length mirror would also be appreciated-all minor gripes which did not detract from our holidays.

This is our fourth stay at a Grecotel. Love their all inclusive package; staff at reception were exceptional and great service generally except in one speciality restaurant. Wifi in room hit and miss. We had problems with digital lock to our room which took days to sort; several times keys renewed, battery in lock changed etc etc. Overall a great stay.

Excellent hotel, great facilities, delicious food. Staff was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Internet access was not great occasionally but overall satisfactory.

Rooms are dated. Staff don’t accept complaints e.g. water and coffee not replenished. The comments were taken negatively and staff were rude to me. Nothing to do around the area at all. Food cold when it should be hot. Not receptive to comments

We were a family group of 6 visiting in September. We give this 5 stars. The food options were varied (but be warned you have to book in advance) and very good. Staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had sea views in the hotel and a top tip would be to ask for them, we felt they were better than the bungalows. Excellent staff going above and beyond for hospitality. Amazing food and the highest quality of drinks!

We had a brilliant time, the staff are friendly and helpful, the view is unbelievable and the food and drinks are very good. We enjoyed the Asian restaurant the most. Make sure you book the restaurants before you arrive.

Loved the location of the property. Breathtaking views and surrounded by greens.

The beachfront location is undoubtedly a highlight — but don’t be misled. It’s a narrow, small bay, not a wide, sandy stretch. If your child prefers expansive beaches, this isn’t the place. Reaching the broader beaches on the west side of the island takes 20–30 minutes by car. The food is solid, and the staff generally perform well. One notable plus: the hotel works directly with a group of taxi drivers, making arrangements smooth and reliable. Our driver even went the extra mile — literally — by picking up our lost luggage from the airport a day after check-in and negotiating an exception so we didn’t have to go ourselves. That alone saved us a major hassle. The rooms are very basic, but functional. The children’s pool is small and somewhat dreary, yet usable. The spa service, on the other hand, falls short — even of basic expectations.

The beach, gardens and the layout of the resort are really beautiful. Cristal clear sea water. A lot of natural shade under trees on the beach. The only thing- nature wise- if you come in May like we did- the sunset is on the other side of the island (this is east side) so there is no sun on the beach from around 5-6. I imagine this to be a good thing when it's really hot in Jun, July and August but in May it does shorten your stay at the beach. Lush greenery all around resort. Animation is on the balanced side- that is a good thing for me- the quiter the better. All in all - a really good place for families.

Gorgeous beach and views. Excellent service from the staff at all times. For all inclusive, excellent food with plenty of choice and branded well-made drinks. We had 4 of the a la cartes (book before you go on the app), they were fantastic. Entertainment from the singers and jazz band was lovely. Excellent wine. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for a great service!

Really nice hotel with beautiful beach front. The staff were super friendly. The restaurants require super advance booking. I would book them way before check in. Like more than 7 days. They need to do better with the restaurant bookings. However they do have a good buffet.

Very nice hotel, scenery beautiful staff excellent, only down side the food in the main restaurant wasn’t very warm sometimes cold, and the beds weren’t very comfortable, other than that we had a great time
