Zalagh Kasbah Hotel & Spa

I stayed at Zalagh Kasbah Hotel & Spa in Marrakech from June 23–28 for a family wedding. I booked a family room through Hotels.com because it was advertised as accommodating four guests and was priced higher than the standard rooms. However, upon check-in, I was assigned a room with only two twin beds. When I explained the issue, I was told that once the rest of my family arrived, they would move us to the correct room. Unfortunately, the first room was extremely hot because the air conditioning was not working. When I requested a room change, I was initially refused. The manager, who introduced himself as Beni, dismissed my concerns by saying, “This is not England. You’re in Morocco. It’s hot,” even after I explained that I was not from England and that the AC was clearly malfunctioning. After further discussion, I was eventually moved to another room where the air conditioning worked, but there was no hot water and the toilet leaked. Overall, the hotel was poorly maintained, and I found the management to be unprofessional and unwelcoming. Guests were also discouraged from bringing in outside bottled water. Additionally, I noticed the American flag displayed upside down at the hotel entrance. When I politely pointed this out to the manager, his response was, “Do you have a problem?” I chose not to argue and walked away. The pool is super clean all good nothing to complain about

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this charming boutique hotel in Essaouira. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The location is perfect, just a short stroll from the beach, and the hotel itself is a peaceful haven. The pool and gardens are beautifully maintained, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere—ideal for unwinding. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with a great selection to start the day. Overall, it’s a quiet, relaxing place that I’d happily return to and highly recommend, especially for a peaceful getaway with family.

Staff was amazing

The staff where sweet, the room wasn’t worth the amount I paid, the heater in the room wasn’t working, the heater in the bathroom most times doesn’t steam well.
