Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel

Hotel overall has an older vibe ; the elevator, the hallway carpet and whole structure tells you it's a bit dated but well maintained, and the view is spectacular. Free breakfast with usual options of eggs/sausage/yoghurt/toasts etc but can request steamed veggies and also chocolate chip provided next to pancake maker. Bonus. Bed is very comfortable, internet a tad slow but usable. Driving around is easy and I do love the pool and hot tub plus the free coffee thru lobby machine. Just a few room concerns and pricing. I did last min long weekend booking so it's definitely expensive compared to the other similar hotel I booked earlier; couldn't get the original room with schedule change and this is the cheapest among the few available to book on the day. this is just industry practice. Bathroom is generally clean but the faucet of my tub was dripping a little and hand soap level was low.

Best Western Plus is our hotel chain of choice for travel in Western Canada. I don't think we will be staying at this Kamloops location again. On the plus side, beds were comfortable, everything was clean. Compared to BWP properties, it doesn't shine. The coffee machine in the lobby was out of service, the shower head in the room was loose (still serviceable), the towel storage for the shower were on the opposite side of the bathroom (someone not thinking), there was no welcome fruit or cookies at check-in (like many other properties have), and the breakfast was at the minimum standard to meet BWP standards.

The pool was unique and the room was clean.

The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. This is definitely worth the stay! Staff were exceptional!

Front staff was very unpleasant. I do not like the fact that you have to pay for all of your rooms upon check in, plus damage deposit. Check in room 1 was the king suite I booked, it was still in use or not cleaned as it was still moist from a shower. They gave me a second room, 2 queen with sofa, told me that’s all they had unless I wanted to wait until the next day so they could switch it after they cleaned the other room. We were tired after 10 hour drive and since the staff was miserable I tried calling other hotels, nobody had rooms so we went with the 2 queen. Got to the room, it was nice size, but smelled like disgusting wet dog, possibly pet piss that wasn’t cleaned well. They did call and said they found a king suite so I went and checked it out. It didn’t stink, was clean enough just dated. After we got settled in the stay was good for the remainder of the trip. Free breakfast was a good add on, but if you wanted anything remotely fresh be there 30-45 mins before closing or you are getting bottom barrel. The free coffee machine in the main lobby was fantastic. The pool was very good for the kids, shallow pool, it was good and clean area. Parking was good and well lit. Lots of siren noise being on a main road. Close to lots of good restaurants and amenities. It turned out to be a decent stay after we got a clean decent room. The hotel could use some Reno’s and updates. House keeping is rare. I will say, $1500 for 4 nights is waaay too much for what you get.

We arrived to find a run down hotel with some sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot. We checked in, noticing how run down the building seemed. We tentatively went to our room, but found that there were crumbs all over the carpet and stains on the windows and bathtub. We did not feel comfortable staying there, nor did we feel like our vehicle was safe in the parking lot. We told the receptionist, and she apologized and agreed to give us the $100 damage deposit back. However, since we booked through Expedia, I don’t think we got the full refund for the room. We spent extra money and booked a room at the Best Western. Much cleaner and safer there.

Booked for an overnight stop over. Receptionist was helpful in recommending places to eat but was confusing when talking about dollars as loonies and toonies? Aren't these cartoons? Bedding had greasy marks on it. Fortunately at the end of the bed on top but still very off-putting. Breakfast was ok. Parking was easy.

I love this hotel! It was my first time staying here, and I would book here again in the future. The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly. Our room was super comfortable - the bed's mattresses were so nice and soft! Our room was very clean. We really enjoyed the salt water pool and the jets in the hot tub.

There were comfy beds; average continental breakfast. I have compared with my family stay in Sicamous, same hotel chain where we were more satisfied with their service quality. We have had the similar room for 6 people, but in Kamloops we’re a little bit frustrated about bathroom’s & toilet’s essentials (liquid hand soap, tissues), and experienced bad odour in the room.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice interior decoration. Clean room. A variety of breakfast choices. Friendly staff.

Typical Best Western. Had a nice sized pool and was within driving distance to stores and restaurants. We had loud neighbors, which wasn’t the fault of the hotel, just know sound proofing isn’t the best.

Large room and very clean. There was a loud buzz in the room that was intermittent through the night. Seemed to be an electrical issue.

Large rooms , good parking , not too busy MrMikes 600 down road is great family friendly steak house

Walls are thin and noise transfers. It was fine for 1 night.

Comfortable stay. A/c was noisy

Decent room size, the pull out couch mattress wasn’t comfy at all even for kids, the main king size mattress was extremely used, could use a new set. Room was situated above the cleaning facilities so musty smell of water all evening when the ac was turned on.

We needed a place to stay at the last minute and we were able to get a reservation here. The staff was very nice and helpful. We left our charger in the room and they held it for us until we could pick it up a week later. Great service.

We waited for 10 mins to check in as there was no one at the front desk. The shower dropped all night, bathroom sink drained slow, alarm clock went off at 6am, noisy in the hall after midnight, breakfast shouldn’t be called buffet it’s mora like a continental.

The hotel was great-limited staff at the front desk-but otherwise great The Asian restaurant next door has the best panoramic view of the city and extraordinary samosas!

2 night stay in Kamloops. Great room size with plenty of space for the family. Full breakfast in the morning with many options including gluten free. Located close to many restaurants and only a five minute drive to downtown. The only thing we would have liked to have was a bit of an outdoor space to sit in the evenings. Other than that it was great.

The front desk staff Dilly and Julia were exceptional . Very friendly and accommodating. Very good location to stay as we were attending Memorial Cup , we used Uride loved it

Thé breakfast was awful. The food was tasteless and had the consistency of cardboard. The coffee tasted burnt. I threw my food away and went to Starbucks.
