Winterset

First of all, parking on site is scarce. We had to drive around the building a couple times to find anything that would work. We checked in and the staff was the highlight of the night. They were welcoming and nice. We entered our room were greeted by a scurrying roach. we then went to the bathroom to wash up and found the toilet was wobbling (it wasn’t properly affixed to the floor). exhausted from our day, and only needing a place to grab a few hours of sleep, we hopped into bed.. and the bottom sheet didn’t fit the mattress mattress was actually not covered at the foot of the bed. The finishes in the room are subpar and cheaply done. There is no outlet to charge phones near the bed. Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend.

This hotel was awesome! There are 9 total properties you have access to when you stay here, all with their own pools and/or hot tubs (all different water temps too). Be sure to check them all out!

Quiet, but easy to check in late. No assigned parking for the property but we were able to park on the street close to our room! Only stayed 1 night & glad the walls were not thin! Hot tub was only warm.

Wish the hot tubs at all of the hotels didn't have the heat turned off but otherwise all has been perfect

Pretty grounds. The place is a complex of several mini hotels over several blocks in the area. You can use the pool at any of the various locations. They could use some extra help at the checkin desk, but the staff was very nice. Room is definitely basic, so its a little pricey for what you get, but its just hard to find and pay a reasonable price in this area!

Stayed Fri 4/11-4/12 at Winterset in what must be their most Basic, pets permitted, first floor room (6103) The keyless entry combo keypad was great, bed was very comfortable. But… no chair or table in the room, no place to lay out wet swimsuits or towels. The closet door and the front door get trapped when opened at the same time; the front door swings in and the closet door swings out. The bathroom door narrowly opens when you’re inside and the door handles are upside down making it awkward to open. Strangely, No full size mirror or telephone in the room. Only the Q bed 2 nightstands with convenient USB port lamps, a tall dresser in the closet with a mini fridge, mini microwave and weak teabag style coffee maker. Thankfully a nearby food truck serves REAL coffee, breakfast and lunch, limited menu and hours. we did very much enjoy the pool bar and the many pools that were available to swim on the Properties, all of the staff were very attentive, did their best to keep the properties clean and well appointed, landscaping was very beautiful, gas barbecue grills were available to use. You can bring your own cooler and food and drinks. We had a great time. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the room was so basic. had I been a little better prepared for that I would’ve been much more comfortable. suggest to the hotel to add a basic chair and table to that room. Also someplace to hang wet bathing suits and towels

We stayed at this resort years ago. The new owners do not want to invest any money. The gardens were dying. The pool was freezing cold. The hot tub was leaking. The pool had a sign saying it was not. Health reasons this pool is deemed unsafe. The mattresses were old and had many dips in it. You sink into a hole. trying to open the gate at the front entrance, you had to tug on it. It was stuck the other gates at the other properties did not close properly is dilapidated.

Hotel is very dated. Neither pool or hot tub were clean.

Older property in good shape clean and prompt action if needed anything Will ne back. Impressed with clean pool and hot tob was clean and eonderful!

The nice thing about this hotel is that it affiliated with several others in the immediate area known as North Beach Village and you can use multiple pools and hot tubs in the event that the one at your specific hotel is down for some reason!

Internet did not work and had roaches floor was extremely dirty 😞

Nice representative but took a long time even though I gave a heads up. The rooms were dirty and very low quality.

the place was incredibly disgusting, ac and toilet were broken, floor and sheets were gross. bathroom and front door were not closing properly. staff was not answetring calls at all

The floor was dirty. The bathroom door wouldn’t even close or lock. There was garbage under the beds. No bathroom fan and window was painted shut. No sheet on the bottom half of either bed-just bare mattress

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms.We enjoyed the pool and had some lunches and drinks at the restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The floor of the room was dirty. The room did not look like the pictures, no mirror. The mattress was at an angle so you rolled into the other person all night which did not make for a good nights sleep. Staff was great, got new towels each night and they helped answer any questions about the location. Outdoor areas were great. Lots of plants and really enjoyed the hot tub. Great location close to beach and coffee/ dinner spots. Constant smokers made the pool area less enjoyable.

My experience was awful. The room was disgusting. The bathroom floor was dirty and that had all black marks all over it. The shower was filled with mold. Mold all over the tiles on the tile floor and the walls. The shower curtain Also disgusting was laying on the floor not fitted properly at all. the sink drain was rusty. There were no doors on the closet. Disgusting brown carpet in the closet. I would not stay here again for all the tea in China. I am very surprised that north beach resorts has a Room this deplorable.

Good location. Cleaning and maintenance is something the management of the facility should focus on.

We had an issue with toilet and when we got back from being out all day there was a plunger for us to fix the problem outside our door.

Room was very sparse, walls bare, very limited furnishings. Toilet so close to the wall, hard to use. Window on bathroom could not close all the way so ac unit ON all night trying to keep temp setting.

The only room to unpack was a small shelf in the closet. The closet had a curtain instead of a door. The mattress was incredibly hard. The toilet was lower than usual and the basin on the sink never really fully drain. On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

This is the 4th Beach Village collection hotel I’ve stayed. Service was the friendliest but disappointed in room. Lots of gaps in doors so noise from adjoining rooms could be heard. Bed was comfortable and Bathroom met needs. Basically room is from a 50’s converted condo. Slapped white paint on the walls. Same tiled floor and bath fixtures. Meh!

The staff member who helped us was magnificent... The only real problem we had with our room was little to no connection to the internet with the room's smart tv, so while we were bunkered down, we really were not able to use the TV, even after reconnecting it to the hotel's internet.

Great location for access to the beach. The room was comfortable, although the bed was soft for my taste. Our upstairs neighbors stomped around until late and made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

The room takes a long time to be given to you. We arrived at 3 p.m. and the room wasn't ready until 4:20 p.m. The bed was super uncomfortable and very hard. Otherwise, it was quite acceptable.

The staff makes sure you are happy with the room, Miguel is such a good access to the hotel crew. Nice room, nice service and great location.

Very dated. Had to carry everything up a flight of stairs. No one in the office. Hair dryer didn’t work. Ceiling fan worked whenever it wanted to. Left early

We really enjoyed the hot tub! Marty at the front desk was very helpful. We had a plumbing issue in our room and he addressed it promptly. The staff also made sure that we had clean towels everyday

It is always a fun place to stay, staff are wonderful especially Francisco, he goes out of his way to make our visit enjoyable.

The space was OK for what you’re paying. But the customer service needs some improvement. Also, there seems to be a lack of coordination and basic understanding of hospitality 101 but the pool was nice and the hot top Pool was lovely because it was empty the entire time. We’ll definitely we’re return again. Hopefully it’ll be a better customer service experience the next visit And too many spam messages to my personal phone inviting me to do reviews, so here’s your review.

We brought our small dog, and requested first floor. It was perfect for our needs. You walked out our door to a garden area, no lobby to go through. Room a bit awkward with almost hitting our head on wall tv when you walk in. Two blocks to beach. Great location.

Walked out the property and the beach was right there the best and very reasonable priced

Stayed for one night because we got in late and needed a place close. Young man working the desk was nice and helpful.Our room was clean but very basic and minimmal. The property was clean with nice pools and walkable to the beach. A bit pricey for the outdated room but you're basically paying for the location.

Relaxing resort, lush greenery, near the Fort Lauderdale beach was great!

This is a good basic hotel in a good location. It is walking distance to the beaches, water taxi stop, and several good restaurants and coffee shops. It is not a new place, by far, with simple, but clean rooms and grounds. While there are three small pools, only one appeared to be heated. Our room had a small kitchenette, which was equipped with small fridge, coffee maker and microwave - coffee and sugar and paper cups were provided, which was appreciated. Service is on call at office but seems to come from another nearby property after a few minutes. NOTE: The group that owns the hotel has several other hotels and restaurants in the area, WHICH Provide a discount of 10% for guests... but this was not explained by the office staff on arrival, so we only discovered it on check out!

This is an older property from the 50s60era maybe, I enjoyed the fountains and gardens and the art deco of the buildings and stairwells. Everything was fine,the price was good,very walkable to beach and restaurants,the Henry Birch state Park is close to.. I loved it! Overalll housekeeping was good, we were there a week ,and the heated pool was a joy for the eves. Staff was very kind and accommodating. I would stay again.

My husband and I loved the location. It was right near la olas , and it is near the main strip on ocean avenue in fort.Lauderdale.

Very convenient area. Walk to everything. Friendly convince staff. Quiet neighborhood.

When you first see the property. It doesn’t seem like much. But, it was very clean and once we parked we didn’t drive anywhere. Beach restaurants are close. It’s off the beaten path, so you don’t get the party/ beach noise. It was very quiet. The price is hard to beat in this area. The only thing I would suggest is curtains. Because the lights outside from parking is really bright. There is a restaurant very close called “wine garden”. It is true authentic Italian. And the prices were excellent.

I liked the sorroundings, near the beach. I did not like the fact that whenever I wanted to go to the pool, there were no Pool Towels available. I had a kitchen but no silverware to cook like a good knife, funnel, wooden spoon, others. The air conditioner was only to cool, it was cold and they had no blankets, and no heating with the Air Conditioner.
