Van der Valk Hotel Middelburg

Very nice SPA facilities. Spacious hotel. Only complain is that the Angus Burger is completely processed. It was not pure beef as it should be. Don't go for this alternative.

Very, very rude receptionist. I was not impressed. She was extremely unhelpful - she did not program my key properly and after trekking halfway round the hotel to find out it didn’t work, she rudely spoke to me and made me wait in a big queue to get a new one, despite me telling her we had a taxi waiting for us to take us for dinner and we were running late. I also called down for an iron and an ironing board and she was so rude and told me I had to collect it myself. Not what I would expect from such a nice hotel. Very disappointed.
