We received a great welcome at West Lodge and were well looked after.. The rooms were comfortable, clean and warm and facilities good. The gardens provided a tranquil haven and breakfast was excellent. We very much enjoyed our short stay, thank you.

This was a 2nd overnight stay whilst visiting friends in the area. This is an older property with bags of charm and character. Julie , who I think is the owner , is both friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable . Breakfast in the lovely conservatory overlooking the garden, was delicious with a good choice of cereals, juice and yoghurts followed by a freshly cooked breakfast . There is plenty of parking and there appear to be a couple of pubs and restaurants near by. I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending the hotel , and we will certainly stay again when we next visit the area .

A lovely little boutique hotel in a very well positioned location in Buckinghamshire. Hosts kept us well informed of check in details in advance. Rooms were clean, comfortable and delightfully furnished and surprisingly spacious. Garden area very pretty and well kept. Breakfast delicious and very friendly service.

While it is quite old fashioned - it was comfortable and quiet, and I slept like a log, with very nice staff. The breakfast was nice and freshly cooked with lovely fresh proper coffee. Downers - the shower is one of those very slow rate electrical ones.

This was a 1-night stay for work. Free parking at location, nice welcome from host. I was staying in room 5 (which is their smallest room) but it still had everything I needed including my own toilet and shower. TV was okay as was WiFi. Shower was not powerful. Was allowed access to the garden which was very pleasant at the end of a long day. Decaf tea and coffee provided (as requested). Some places within walking distance to eat. I walked to the Indian restaurant called Mela (20 minute walk), there were 2 pubs closer. There was a choice of hot and cold for breakfast (included in the price of the room), I had the cooked breakfast, which was okay apart from the very tough bacon.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at West Lodge. We had a tranquil garden room so there was no outside noise at all. We also enjoyed being one of two couples in the dining room. Upon ringing the bell the owner arrived promptly and took our orders for cooked breakfast. It soon arrived and was of excellent quality. We will definitely book again if we are in the locality.

What a lovely guesthouse. I really enjoyed my stay. I only stayed for one night as I was visiting my brother in hospital, but I really hope I stay again as it was so cute and the breakfast was delicious. Check in details were sent in a text message and were very easy to follow. Room and en suite had everything I needed. Very impressed.

Adequate for a short stay. I was here on business in Aylesbury. Lovely garden. Room a bit basic. Nice breakfast. Didn’t make up my room, which surprised me at the price. Maybe it says somewhere they don’t do that! Deducted the price of my stay before I checked out and saw any bill, which was odd, and then seemed surprised that I needed a receipt. All a bit perfunctory for a family run place.

Mike and Julie, the hosts, would go out of their way for you, nothing was too much trouble. Great place to stop. Gentleman who met us and served us breakfast was very helpful and friendly. His knowledge of area and hotel was excellent. Bedrooms were warm and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, range was great. Plenty of places to eat on a night nearby. Car parking was adequate.

Building of character with lovely gardens. If the sun shines a lovely place to sit. Ideal spot for touring the area with a lovely pub (The Bell ) great food, just 2mins walk away.

A lovely little boutique hotel in a very well positioned location in Buckinghamshire. Hosts kept us well informed of check in details in advance. Rooms were clean, comfortable and delightfully furnished and surprisingly spacious. Garden area very pretty and well kept. Breakfast delicious and very friendly service.

Very pretty room and a good size for a single. Lovely breakfast too. Convenient location for the event I was attending and much nicer and better value than a nearby budget chain - comparing notes at breakfast, other guests agreed!

This was a 1-night stay for work. Free parking at location, nice welcome from host. I was staying in room 5 (which is their smallest room) but it still had everything I needed including my own toilet and shower. TV was okay as was WiFi. Shower was not powerful. Was allowed access to the garden which was very pleasant at the end of a long day. Decaf tea and coffee provided (as requested). Some places within walking distance to eat. I walked to the Indian restaurant called Mela (20 minute walk), there were 2 pubs closer. There was a choice of hot and cold for breakfast (included in the price of the room), I had the cooked breakfast, which was okay apart from the very tough bacon.

We would fully recommend this hotel, very friendly welcome and service throughout our stay. Lovely, comfortable room and exceptional breakfast choice. We will definitely return when visiting the area! You won’t be disappointed!

Lovely. The website/photos don't do it justice. Double bed was comfy and good set of pillows. It was near freezing when we arrived, but the room had been warmed nicely. There was a guide for places to eat, what to do and so forth. Breakfast was excellent, cooked really well and to order. One morning I was out during breakfast, but the left out cereal and other things like Yogurts, Pain au Chocolat etc. I would 100% recommend staying here, quiet too. The owners are really lovely and happy to help, but not hoovering around or over you.

Mike and Julie, the hosts, would go out of their way for you, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were great, a good choice from the buffet, and the cooked breakfast, plenty of options - delicious! My husband and I will certainly be going back, providing his health allows. Really lovely hotel and friendly welcoming. We only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer. The garden is very relaxing to sit and read or just chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet.
