We were very comfortable at Enter Skansen. The hotel feels new, the room was spacious and the buffet breakfast was filling. The location is a short walk to the central attractions. Paid parking is available nearby. The only negative comment I could make is the noise of the winter car tyres managed to penetrate the double glazed windows, so we heard every car drive by.

Its a very quaint and nice hotel. Offers breakfast in the mornings and has lounge areas. Very close to the port where i was leaving from and within walking distance of most shops and restaurants. Overall a great place to stay.

Very friendly hotel. Good service and price. Breakfast included and luggage storage whixh was handy because I arrived off a cruise ship before check in time and was flying down to Oslo after check out time.

Das Hotel Skanssen ust ein kleineres Hotel ohne Gastronomie, aber die gibt's js im Ort genug. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sauber und gepflegt, man fühlt sich wohl

Et rimelig og bra alternativ nært Tromsø sentrum. Men veldig lytt fra rommet til gangen Rent på rommet, men skittent i trappegangene. Enkel og grei frokost og rimelig parkering bak hotellet.

Sköna sängar, men väldigt dålig bild på tv:n. Oväsen fr. måsar som fått fågelungar utanför fönstret. Ingen resturang eller bar. Ett helt OK hotell.

Terrific place to stay in Tromso. Super clean, great location, nice staff. Continental breakfast is very decent with fresh bread, fruits, some meats and much more. Located just a block from the heart of town. Would easily stay here again. Great value.

Positivt: Väldigt bra service från den engelsktalande mannen i receptionen. Sköna sängar. Bra frukost Bra rullgardiner som stängde ute midnattssolen när man skulle sova. Negativt: Städningen var inte helt ok när vi kom och vi påtalade det för att de skulle fixa det, vilket de gjorde.

Das Hotel liegt super, direkt an der Einkaufsstrasse/Fussgängerzone Strogata. Alles zu Fuss erreichbar. Gratis Kaffee und Tee den ganzen Tag in der Hotelhalle, das war super! Wifi leider gaaanz schlecht! Frühstück ok.würde aber noch mehr gehen. Zum Beispiel auch frisches Wasser im Krug, alles etwas mehr Abwechslung wäre toll. Zimmer wurden leider nicht wirklich geputzt. Nur frische Tücher und Bettdecken etwas zurechtgelegt. Leider die Böden überhauot nicht, war die grösste Enttäuschung, ansonsten würde sofort wieder in dieses Hotel gehen. Das Badezimmer mit Fussheizung, top! Mit dem Bus 42 direkt vom Flughafen alle ca.15min.bis Skippergata, dann ca.150m zum Hotel

Dyrt i forhold til standard. Rommet luktet forferdelig, var fuktig dårlig luft. Dårlig vasket, dusjen var rett og slett ekkel, baderomsinnredning hadde masse skader. Vannet rant utover gulvet fra dusjen. Gulvet utenfor badet så brannskadet ut. Vaskepersonell skrudde av varmekabler på badet hver dag. Frokost var ikke mye å skryte av. Ett brød og en kurv med baguetter fra first price, noen tallerkener med få skiver skinke og ost. Aldri igjen.

The staff were hugely accomodating and the hotel and room was very clean. Breakfast was okay and the bed was uncomfortable. We booked a double room and it was just two single futons pushed together with a mattress topper on top. Location was walkable to local amenities.

Hotel económico dentro de lo que es Noruega y Tromso. Es más bien un hostal que un hotel. No tiene apenas mobiliario, ni nevera, ni hervidor de agua. Es una habitación básica para dormir y asearse. Las camas son cómodas. Mala insonorización y en verano las cortinas no tapan las ventanas, por lo que no es posible dormir a oscuras. Como en todo Noruega no es posible aparcar en la calle, así que es necesario reservar parking. Cuesta 150 coronas diarias. El desayuno es lamentable. No tienen apenas nada, ni siquiera tostador, ni platos calientes, ni bollería, ni fruta. Sólo pan y cereales. Fuimos especialmente bien atendidos por una señorita rusa en la recepción. Lo mejor la ubicación.

Okay for the price range, it's in town, it's clean, it feels safe and it does what it says on the tin. No frills, basic but comfortable accomodation. Would benefit from a bigger bin in the room and if you are a sleeper that needs complete dark, I could see the curtains being an issue in the summer months

Aufgrund des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses passte es, aber man muss schon hier und da ein Auge zudrücken. Das Hotel hat einen deutlichen Renovierungsstau, da gibt es nichts zu diskutieren. In beiden genutzten Zimmern (Familienzimmer im 1. Stock und Doppelzimmer im 3. Stock musste man beim Duschen etwas aufpassen, nicht das ganze Bad unter Wasser zu setzen. Das Zimmer im 3. Stock roch etwas muffig, hoffentlich kein Problem mit nassen Wänden... Frühstück war okay, das Personal an der Rezeption sehr freundlich.

I booked with this hotel based on price, location, and the advertisement said there was parking available. The day I was leaving on my flights, I received a call saying that my room was moved to a sister hotel. I asked for the address and they said they would send me an sms with the new information. By the time I arrived, I still had not received a sms with the new hotel info so decided to drive to the hotel. When I got there it was completely closed due to renovations, so I had to find the number that originally called me to ask for the new hotel information. The check in at the new hotel (city hotel) was easy, however the parking was an unexpected extra fee that came to over around $120 for 4 nights. Additionally, the breakfast that was included in my stay was provided at another sister hotel, so I didn’t even bother trying to make it to another sister hotel every morning. The whole experience was just inconvenient and disappointing.

Booked their absolutely cheapest room, unknowingly, and ended up in a tiny room with a terrible bed. Spoke to the reception the next morning and expressed my dissatisfaction. Was met with full understanding and empathy, and was given another room which was perfect for my three night stay. Lovely staff. Simple, but very functional breakfast room in the basement. Clean room and great bed. The hotel has a good location in the extension of the high street in the centre of town. Short walk to most central attractions.

My flight was delayed, which meant I could not check into the hotel before the reception closed at 8 pm. Because of this the hotel left me instructions on how to collect my key from a safe location which I was grateful for. I was very happy with the service at the hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Je vous ai déjà signalé que l’hôtel était fermé depuis le 16 sept pour travaux sans information préalable. L’Amalie Hôtel à repris ma réservation et m’a proposé au même tarif une chambre correcte … à part la vue qui est pour moi une première (voir photo) Le personnel de la réception a été très agréable.

Nachdem wir 2018 bereits im Skansen Hotell untergekommen und zufrieden waren, haben wir dort wieder gebucht. Grundsätzlich war wieder alles prima, allerdings wird das Hotel aktuell renoviert und dadurch hatten wir ein paar Einschränkungen. Unser Zimmer war schon renoviert und hatte alles, was man braucht, aber uns wurde beim Check-In nicht mitgeteilt, dass das Hotel nach 2 von 3 Nächten komplett geschlossen wird und wir dadurch fürs 3. Frühstück 700m zu einem anderen Hotel gehen mussten. Das war für uns okay, aber wurde ausschließlich am Tag vorher per SMS auf norwegisch kommuniziert. Durch die Schließung scheinen wir auch die letzten Gäste gewesen zu sein, die Rezeption war auch nicht mehr besetzt. Alles etwas suboptimal, aber das sollte nach Ende der Renovierungsarbeiten wieder besser laufen. Ich vermute, das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls etwas geringer, weil kaum noch Gäste da waren. Insgesamt stimmte für uns trotzdem alles, wir sind gut untergekommen und durch die Lage ist das Hotel wirklich prima für einen Städtetrip in Tromsø.
Nachdem wir 2018 bereits im Skansen Hotell untergekommen und zufrieden waren, haben wir dort wieder gebucht. Grundsätzlich war wieder alles prima, allerdings wird das Hotel aktuell renoviert und dadurch hatten wir ein paar Einschränkungen. Unser Zimmer war schon renoviert und hatte alles, was man braucht, aber uns wurde beim Check-In nicht mitgeteilt, dass das Hotel nach 2 von 3 Nächten komplett geschlossen wird und wir dadurch fürs 3. Frühstück 700m zu einem anderen Hotel gehen mussten. Das war für uns okay, aber wurde ausschließlich am Tag vorher per SMS auf norwegisch kommuniziert. Durch die Schließung scheinen wir auch die letzten Gäste gewesen zu sein, die Rezeption war auch nicht mehr besetzt. Alles etwas suboptimal, aber das sollte nach Ende der Renovierungsarbeiten wieder besser laufen. Ich vermute, das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls etwas geringer, weil kaum noch Gäste da waren. Insgesamt stimmte für uns trotzdem alles, wir sind gut untergekommen und durch die Lage ist das Hotel wirklich prima für einen Städtetrip in Tromsø.

Great location, just a few minutes walking from a bunch of shops and restaurants. I could also see the mountains from my room :) Breakfast is great, with fresh bread, fruit, and more. Quiet and clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Would recommend :)

Terrific place to stay in Tromso. Super clean, great location, nice staff. Continental breakfast is very decent with fresh bread, fruits, some meats and much more. Located just a block from the heart of town. Would easily stay here again. Great value.

Very close to the main AirPort Express bus stop and “downtown” shopping strip. I did the Midnight Marathon and this hotel is a straight 5 min walk to the finish line. The bathroom is not set up well. There are only shower curtains so the water was everywhere. The breakfast is ok. Plan to buy coffee somewhere else - the coffee in their automatic dispenser is not the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak English well. I felt safe all throughout my stay in Tromso. The people here are very friendly to tourists. I was walking by myself at night without feeling unsafe. Will definitely go back here.

Great location but parking was a major inconvenience. No parking at the hotel, not even an ability to pull up front and take out our luggage. Had to park at either a public parking lot for $50 or a hotel about 8 min away for $35.

Pros: - Location was great and close to the city centrum. - Friendly and helpful staff - Breakfast included (if you're into that, personally I don't eat breakfast, so..) - There's a lift! great if you're tired after walking all day (especially after the hill walking to the hotel) - You could pick up toilet paper, towels, tea and such on the 3rd floor if you needed it. Con: - for a Dane the hotel was placed on a very steep hill (which gave you great workout, so I guess it's actually only a "semi-con")
