Quite difficult to access the room with luggage. Car park is a long walk.

The area is absolutely beautiful. Nice quaint bar area that played Scottish music that we really enjoyed.

Our room was very comfortable, though the view wasn’t great as it overlooked the restaurant. However, this was more than made up for by the lounge area—a quirky hidden gem! It was a nice space to relax, though it felt a bit eerie since we seemed to be the only ones using it, despite the inn being full. The staff were helpful and kind, and we received a warm welcome from Scott, which set a nice tone for our stay. The breakfast server (unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name) was also great—very friendly and made our mornings more enjoyable. That said, the food was quite expensive, and there were very few vegetarian options, which was disappointing. The lounge bar could have been open more often, and it would have been nice if they served beer. Overall, a good stay with a few small improvements that could make it even better!

We arrived around 9pm. The young man in the office did not greet us upon entry. He showed us to our room. Husband asked if he could add 3 postcards to their outgoing mail. The man suggested instead he walk (in the rain) a few blocks to the post office. It took 30 minutes. By the time husband returned, the young man had left, they took away the free whiskey decanter and said the cash bar was also closed. The whiskey bar was the cool factor, the reason i booked here. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service. The room was tiny and we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs juggling a door at the top and another at the bottom. Glencoe Inn doesn't even compare to the Glengarry Castle which was beautiful, spacious amd had excellent customer service - AND cost less! I would not go back to Glencoe Inn. For $359 USD for one night, i expected top notch service but instead got that of a Motel 6. Had I spent half that price, I'd be ok with it, but not for what we paid.

Cute place. Cozy, Hot tub could have been hotter. Sauna was nice. Had a good dinner at Moss. Hotel was over priced for the experience.

Glencoe Inn was a great spot. We had room 16, complete with claw foot tub in the room. We took advantage of hot tub and sauna right out our door. Manager and bar tender were fantastic. Having said that, they were very short staffed and would recommend self serve breakfast. We took 5 mile hike and would recommend.

Area was gorgeous but they’re extremely short staffed and I think working on renovations. Smelled of mildew upstairs and parts of the hotel were closed off. Staff was great though

There’s a lot to say about this place. I had initially booked it back in fall 2024 and hadn’t seen the poor reviews. The week of our stay I had a bad feeling about going to stay at this hotel, and I read the reviews and almost cancelled our trip to the area and changed our route. I wish I had. The hotel itself is located pretty centrally in Glencoe. But beyond that, it was nowhere near as advertised on the website. Our room was free of clutter, but very dusty. It seemed to only be clean of debris on the floor, but all the trim had a thick layer of dust on it. The bathroom also looked to be nice upon first look, but the shower head had a lot of black build up on it. We also had a completely backed up shower drain that caused water to spill over the lip of the shower. The hotel advertises having restaurants but no availability and hours change constantly. It should not be advertised as a five star hotel and I regret staying.

Our recent stay at the Glencoe Inn was far from the pleasant experience we expected based on the listing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property did not meet basic standards of comfort and cleanliness. To start, our room lacked basic amenities like slippers, which were advertised as included. The bathroom was unclean, with dirty toilets that should have been properly sanitized before our arrival. Worst of all, there was no hot water, making it impossible to freshen up after a long journey. Given these unacceptable conditions, we made the decision to cut our stay short and flew out just a few hours after arriving. We feel thoroughly misled by the property’s description and are now considering filing a formal complaint with hotels.co.uk for promoting a stay that did not match reality. The Glencoe Inn needs significant improvements in maintenance, housekeeping, and transparency before it can be recommended to other travelers. Until then, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for accommodation in the area.

Very understaffed especially for the kitchen. Overwhelmed by just a couple of parties. My room had a dirty towel still hanging in the bathroom and a dirty water glass.

Room very dusty, carpets . Furnishings looked grubby throughout the hotel. Lack of staff tge staff who were there were running about literally to get everyone served. Limited menu for dinner, breakfast poor, limited offer in bar. Horrible smell in corridors.lounge area nicest part but even that could do with a good clean . Definitely wouldn’t book again.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring the local area. It is well kept and clean. The dining options were good and the staff was excellent.

Very disappointing stay, but didn’t ruin our trip, as we knew it was just a quick one night stopover. I think I’d be extremelt uposet if I was due to stay here for more than one night. Upon arrival. There is nobody sitting at a check-in desk, just an office door that is open but no bell to ring or number to call. Which then leaves you standing awkwardly for a while, then searching around for somebody, not great. Room was not worth the money paid (£130) – bed was smaller than a double, stains on sheet and towels, paid for a ‘mountain view’ but upon waking in the morning, we had a view of the busy road and roundabout. Bathroom really needed some work, dirty tiles, very narrow bath, seal had gone on shower glass so leaked everywhere. there was staff shortage so there was only one waiter and therefore we couldn’t be seated until our given time, fair enough no harm done. We sat and had a drink, but my partner had to remind the waiter around 19:35 that we were to be seated. Once seated, the waiter did the best he could but we waited absolutely ages (over an hour) for any food to be brought out, by this point we were ravenous and tired so just ate it as fast as we could and went to bed. The food was WAY over-priced for what it was - £35 for x3 small lamb cutlets, one carrot and a bit of mash! I’d say if it is just an overnight stopover, you’ll be okay, but don’t bother if you’re thinking it’ll be a nice stay. website makes it seem really idyllic but more like a roadside motel

Kind of a weird property? Smelled strange, perhaps just old. Out of date restaurant menus on the website, dull atmosphere in the “fancier” restaurant. Don’t bother with the fish and chips place, the driest and most bland I’ve ever had. There was a stain on one of the pillowcases in the room. Overall the stay was just okay

Absolutely lovely staff, but everything else was severely lacking and I have no idea how this hotel could have five, four or even three stars. I've never stayed in such a noisy hotel with such low quality beds, even at places that were $50/night (and this was 4x that). I could hear my neighbors down the hall having sex (they weren't even that loud). Every footfall in the hallway past my door was audible from inside the room. I could give a transcript of quiet hallways conversations at 5 in the morning. The beds were abysmal. The sheet pulled back a bit and the mattress appeared to be yellowed and old. Mine, a double, was topped with two separate mattress toppers, which I assume they thought would breathe life into the ancient mattress, but only meant that a crevasse would open up in the center of the bed as they separated during the night. Regarding cleanliness, the carpet in the room had multiple huge red stains from who knows what. The main areas outside the upstairs rooms seemed clean, though. The hotel was understaffed during my March stay. It's very large--a pizza and fish & chips restaurant, a bar, the hotel restaurant, and another bar, but they only had one and a half people operating all of it. There were long periods where no one was around to help, and when he did appear he was clearly run ragged. Respect to him for trying, but the hotel needs to have more staff outside high season. Cannot recommend.

Small but cozy room

We were just there 1 night. Got in late. Dinner at restaurant was good as was breakfast. Rooms are very small. Double size beds. No a/c. There was a fan in the room. Staff was friendly and provided good service. Would not book again due to size of bed and room. Would go back to restaurant

Excellent lodge. We had the signature room with the bathtub and had a great view over the lake.

The room was really small with a bunk bed. No chairs or space for the luggage. There was no elevator and with my back problem the staff while checking out was rude and initially refused to help but finally brought it down. It is in a very nice and convenient location. There was no food at the restaurant for vegetarians.

We spent a night at the Glencoe Inn so that we could explore Glencoe. It is extremely convenient as a location for that. Little pricey as an exclusive option in that area, but the room was spacious and well kept. Cute restaurants attached. Petrol station and convenience store next door. It’s right on the highway but not too much noise. Staff was very friendly. Overall great stay and we would choose them again if exploring Glencoe.

Rooms are very small with steep stair access

I unfortunately was actually never able to make it to the property but wanted to leave a review since I was so impressed by the customer service. The night before we were supposed to travel to the highlands, my toddler came down with RSV and we have to cancel our whole highlands trip, which included a night at Glencoe Inn. Not only did the hotel refund my payment but the part the impressed me the most was the incredibly warmth and concern it was met with. Specifically, I spoke with Ben over the phone and he shared some resources for reaching urgent care in Scotland over the New Years holiday when most resources were closed. I am so impressed by the warmth and customer service at this hotel and fully plan on staying here if we ever have the opportunity to visit Scotland again.

The bald (sry) server was actually shaking his head in despair to see us arrive om time for breakfast. Its as if he did not want us there. Being an american I did confront him, if you dont want us here we domt need to eat here. He said ' no no its ok its fine' People come here om vacatiom. It shouldn't feel like a hospital where everyone is in pain. The property itself is very old not like how it looks on photos. They pretty much put a lipstick on a pig. Please spend ypur money elsewhere.

Small room in need for refresh. Shower not draining correctly. Bedding was ok. Poor service. Bar was closed more than 30 minutes before supposed last call. Very few hotel options in the area, so customer service does not seem a high priority. I'd recommend to avoid the area and push to Fort William instead.

The food at the hotel restaurant was terrible. Even tho they claim to be 5 star fine dining. The staff were very kind and helpful but just seemed undertrained. Our room was small hot and stuffy just didn’t match the high price. The bar wasent staffed to make any cocktails Overall just too high of a price for what it was

I had booked this hotel as a gift for my partner and I but due to last minute work commitments my partner could no longer attend. So I attended with my mum and my daughter. The hotel kindly moved us in to a bigger room to allow more space for us and to accommodate the travel cot. Although the hotel claims to be family friendly, they do not have a children’s menu in the restaurant. I had to buy meals for my daughter at the supermarket as there wasn’t anything suitable on the full menu for her. The staff were lovely but the hotel was very quiet during our stay and the staff weren’t very attentive. Most times we wanted a drink at the bar we had to walk around the hotel to find someone to serve us and were surprised to discover that there was a service charge added to the bill on every round at the bar! We were made aware of the service charge at the restaurant which we were more than happy to pay but we were not impressed with the service at the bar. I cannot comment on the “hidden spa” facility as we were unfortunately unable to make use of this due to my daughter travelling with us but the staff member who gave us our welcome tour didn’t even inform us about it. I would have been unaware of it if it wasn’t for reading the hotels website. The hotel in general was clean although my daughter had macaroni one evening for dinner and there was still some underneath the table when we arrived for breakfast the following morning. Overall we had a nice stay but not sure I would return.

Amazing stay when in or around Glencoe. Service is amazing. David is very helpful and there for breakfast to dinner to ensure you have all you need.

The staff were welcoming and the service was great. The room was charming and spacious with a soaker tub and complimentary robes, coffee and tea. The lobby area lounge was beautiful.

This place is in a great location. It has two onsite restaurants and is close to all of the Glencoe sites. Beautiful surroundings!

This beautiful, quiet property is the perfect base for spending time in GlenCoe. Staff is wonderful, and they work hard! I travelled by bus, and there's a stance right across from the hotel. I loved the location in the village of Glen Coe, and gateway to tons of hiking was right there. It's a fabulous place to stay after a long day of hiking.

Extremely quiet inn with old world charm in an absolutely stunning area. A little dated in terms of amenities but still incredibly pleasant and peaceful.

The Inn was quite shabby and they were unprepared for the number of guests they had. Of the five or six items on the menu in the restaurant two were unavailable at our seating. A relatively limited breakfast was 19 pounds per person. Definitely not worth the rate.

The food both dinner and breakfast were delicious, They close early and you MUST make a reservation for dinner or you will not eat!!!

The service and the food in the gathering restaurant was poor. We had to wait an hour on our food for dinner and for breakfast we never received the full order. We couldn’t book in the restaurant or have breakfast there as they didn’t have a table that fitted all six of us. The view, rooms and the lounge are was fine. We found that the food experience didn’t match the overall price and put a downer on the overall experience.

Beautiful Location, easy to find, great restaurant onsite. My dad and I were celebrating our shared birthday and were greeted with a birthday card from the staff on check-in and a couple of complimentary glasses of sparking wine at dinner. Dinner was wonderful, the food and the service were impeccable. I would definitely return to this establishment in the future.
