This was our favorite hotel on the trip. The staff were great offering wonderful suggestions, arranging a tour and taxi to catch our very early train. They even have us breakfast before we left. ❤️ the room was beautiful. I can't recommend this hotel enough if you want to stay in the sassi caveoso.

Basiliani Hotel is truly a fantastic boutique gem! The location is perfect — close to everything yet peaceful enough to fully relax and soak in the atmosphere. Wonderful hotel in a great location in Matera. Each room was different and wonderful (we had four rooms). The staff was great and the transfers to/from the parking garage were perfect. We would absolutely stay here again!
