Staff & Breakfast excellent. Parking a slight issue, but overcome by double parking and move when requested. Room in courtyard absolutely fine. Dinner was great. Would stay again

We had a brilliant weekend at the Frocester, was greeted by Gary very friendly and helpful. We had arrived a little early, but that was no problem, and after a refreshing pint in the beer garden, all was sorted. Food was delicious , plenty of choice, two menus available in the restaurant. Breakfast really set us for the rest of the day, again with plenty of variety and great service. Would we stay again? Definitely, especially with those soooooo comfy beds

Lovely country pub hotel. Great condition, rooms clean and well stocked - tea and coffee maiking, home made shortbread biscuits in room. Well stocked bar with real ales etc, beer garden was lovely too. Food choices excellent, home made bread and beautifully presented tasty dishes. Breakfast generous cooked to order and a continental selection of fruit, cerals, pastries available too. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally located about 10 mins from Junction 13 M5 down lovely country lanes. Only isue was the mattress/ bed - foot of bed higher than teh head end due to mattress we think, made for an uncomfortable nights sleep, reported to staff in the morning so hopefully will get sorted. Otherwise a great stop over.

What a brilliant stay at the Frocester. The staff were very helpful, the beer garden ideal on the warm and sunny day that we had, the restaurant was lovely with a great menu and food coked brilliantly. The only minor thing was that the mattress in Room 5 was a little tired, soft and bouncy. Apart from this it was a lovely stay and we would love to return. Thank you!

My room was great although I was a bit concerned it would be noisy as it was right next to the beer garden. I needn't have worried as, once the door was closed, I couldn't hear a thing! Big, comfortable bed with crisp, clean bedding. Nice bathroom with good accessibility. And even my own 'terrace' outside the room, separate from the beer garden. Great if you don't want to interact with others. Lovely atmosphere in the pub, pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order, very good quality and choices. I enjoyed my stay and am booked again next weekend. I can thoroughly recommend it.

Stayed 1 night to break up the journey from Cornwall back up North. Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous, clean, modern room complete with patio area and access to beer garden at the back. Air con, mini fridge, complimentary bottled water and milk for the brews. Staff were absolutely amazing. Food was hearty and delicious. It was a perfect end of our hols. The only negative was the clanging mirror hung on the back of the bathroom doir, which we lifted down and replaced before we left. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely place, nice big clean room, food was excellent, fab evening meal and breakfast, couldn't fault it, staff friendly, my only criticism was our room was overlooking the main road and as it was a hot night we had the window wide open, it was a bit noisy with passing traffic, had a bit of trouble sleeping but we would definitely stay again.

The Frocester was adequate for an overnight stay we booked en route to Cornwall. The staff were really pleasant and the food was ok as we ate in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we had a room which faced the road, and not knowing this area, it clearly was a very busy road from very very early in the morning. The traffic never stopped and as the old single glazed windows were in poor condition, they let in as much cold as they did noise. Sadly, from about 4 in the morning, we hardly slept.

Our first impression of the hotel was from the outside and it wasn't great. However, once we got into our room, relaxed later in the lounge and enjoyed a lovely breakfast, we really came round. Most of the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We do feel however, that check in could be a little better organised. We were pointed into a very busy and noisy bar area and it took a while before anybody came to check us in. It is slightly noisy at the front of the hotel, during busy travel times, but we had a really pleasant stay and our room was lovely.

First time, but was immediately impressed by the friendly staff who were very accommodating. Appeared to be a young team who worked well together. Food was fabulous, we enjoyed the fresh fishcakes and amazing burger. Breakfast was equally excellent, good traditional fayre. Pub side was more traditional, well enjoyed by locals and those from further afield. Room was lovely, modern, clean and comfortable. An amazing value for money package, would definitely stay here again.

Checking in was a little haphazard, it needs to be made clearer where you go to get it sorted. The staff were very polite though and the breakfast was very convenient in terms of both timings and the spacious dining area. There's a very broad menu which is even better.

Our first impression of the hotel was from the outside and it wasn't great. However, once we got into our room, relaxed later in the lounge and enjoyed a lovely breakfast, we really came round. Most of the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We do feel however, that check in could be a little better organised. We were pointed into a very busy and noisy bar area and it took a while before anybody came to check us in. It is slightly noisy at the front of the hotel, during busy travel times, but we had a really pleasant stay and our room was lovely.

Friendly staff, pleasant quiet location. Stayed in the Magnolia Cottage very well equipped and had everything that I could wish for comfortable, like home from home. Even made me smile when id broken the key off in the lock to round of a perfect day, new key no quibble supported with a laugh and an offer to get the fire brigade around to get me out. Would definitely stay here again. Dines in restaurant food good and good service.

We were there for one night, because we were visiting the wwt Slimbridge. We had the delux suite because it had 2 armchairs to sit on. The room was outstanding and large, absolutely perfect. The bathroom was was very big and roomy. Just loved the whole thing. We ate in the bar for a evening meal and we had the gammon,egg and chips, it was so delicious 😋. I had to ask if there was any dairy free puddings and they were fantastic in sorting it out for me, i had the dairy free ice cream which was very nice. The staff were absolutely fantastic and very attentive to our needs. We will be going back again next March on our visit to slimbridge again.

Lovely place, nice big clean room, food was excellent, fab evening meal and breakfast, couldn't fault it, staff friendly, my only criticism was our room was overlooking the main road and as it was a hot night we had the window wide open, it was a bit noisy with passing traffic, had a bit of trouble sleeping but we would definitely stay again.

Great stay, very welcoming and helpful staff. Bedroom was comfortable and spacious. Wide choice on offer for breakfast and dinner. Good location for us visiting Stroud and Cirencester areas. Will return.

The Frocester was adequate for an overnight stay we booked en route to Cornwall. The staff were really pleasant and the food was ok as we ate in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we had a room which faced the road, and not knowing this area, it clearly was a very busy road from very very early in the morning. The traffic never stopped and as the old single glazed windows were in poor condition, they let in as much cold as they did noise. Sadly, from about 4 in the morning, we hardly slept.

Lovely country pub hotel. Great condition, rooms clean and well stocked - tea and coffee maiking, home made shortbread biscuits in room. Well stocked bar with real ales etc, beer garden was lovely too. Food choices excellent, home made bread and beautifully presented tasty dishes. Breakfast generous cooked to order and a continental selection of fruit, cerals, pastries available too. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally located about 10 mins from Junction 13 M5 down lovely country lanes. Only isue was the mattress/ bed - foot of bed higher than teh head end due to mattress we think, made for an uncomfortable nights sleep, reported to staff in the morning so hopefully will get sorted. Otherwise a great stop over.

Very clean. Lovely breakfast. Staff helpful and attentive, especially Ethan. Evening meals we had very good too. Creme brûlée yummy! Our second visit. Nice touches like water in room, homemade shortbreads and comprehensive toiletries.

We had a brilliant weekend at the Frocester, was greeted by Gary very friendly and helpful. We had arrived a little early, but that was no problem, and after a refreshing pint in the beer garden, all was sorted. Food was delicious , plenty of choice, two menus available in the restaurant. Breakfast really set us for the rest of the day, again with plenty of variety and great service. Would we stay again? Definitely, especially with those soooooo comfy beds

Friendly and helpful staff. Room clean and spacious. As a veggie I’m used to mediocre food in most hotels but at the Frocester had the most flavoursome meal I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely return in the future

The room was lovely as were the staff. The hot, made to order breakfast was delicious. Dinner was exceptional as were the pints of brews. The inn is situated in a nice, quiet spot in the country. The room was modern and updated with a wonderful shower.

On arrival staff were very pleasant and showed us to our room, which was very nice, with a little enclosed outside sitting area and nice big wet room, and good amenities. Room could do with a good clean, cobwebs up by the window which had a broken blind (hence noticed the cobwebs) and in the eaves. Breakfast was very nice with continental and cooked being offered. Would I stay here again, yes very much so, as was situated in a nice quiet area.
