Very clean, nicely furnished , quaint old stone walls in the dining room / bar , nice beer garden , very good dinner menu, Bedroom was pretty small and a little cramped but quiet and bathroom was new with very nice towels. The walk in shower was great but needed a non-slip mat as the floor was lethally slippy when wet. The cooked breakfast was very nice but needed a better choice of cereals, fruit etc. A very nice stay overall.

Booked this place as thought it looked great from the pictures, especially having a copper bath in the room. We were initially very impressed, however the bathroom was filthy, bits of fluff, dirt, and even toe nails on the floor! There were loose screws behind the wash basins, one of which didnt work. The blind in the bathroom was broken and the window in the bedroom wouldn't open. We found litter behind one of the bedside cabinets, plus the mirror was dirty. On the plus side, location is pleasant with a nice village type feel about it, and the bed was comfortable. We didnt eat as we were put off by the things we had seen. This could be a cracking place, its clearly been run down.

Not very clean. Flies everywhere. Very run-down. Some staff were great, others clueless. One member of staff accused us of not being a guest as we had used a different door and didn’t quite understand why on earth we would use the front door. Pictures were very misleading for the room. Not even a door for the bathroom, just a posh sliding plank of wood that had warped so gave you no privacy. Breakfast was incredibly expensive. Breakfast first morning was good, but overcooked with some cremated streaky bacon thrown on a plate rather than the nice back bacon from the morning before. Had run out of juice, pastries etc by 9am. Also on a surprisingly busy road for such a quiet town. Woken by trucks rushing past at 5:30am making the windows rattle.

The room was on a very busy noisy road, double glazing would help reduce the noise, wagons driving past the windows shake, lots of limescale on the kettle in the room very off putting, the room was cleanish, the cups lots of water marks, mirror very dusty, shower had lots of mould in. The bed however was huge, and very comfy. They got my evening meal wrong, a beef burger instead of a chicken burger, I agreed to take it as the young girl was very busy and I had already waited 40 minutes, they took my drink of my bill.... it was a Diet Coke, I still paid £19.50 for a meal I didn't really want. Breakfast very expensive and 1 price for whether you have a full English or 2 crumpets and a hot drink £16.50 for crumpets or a bacon sandwich is very excessive. Disappointed
