I wanted to share how pleased we are with our stays at the Royal Marine Hotel. This was our fourth visit, Jackie and I are returning again this weekend and once more next month, which speaks for itself. The location is perfect for us. We can park the car and head out for the day without any hassle. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the rooms we have been allocated have been excellent on every visit. We have thoroughly enjoyed each stay and look forward to returning again.

Fantastic stay, the hotel has been having work done to it but that made no difference at all to my stay. Cleaning staff deserve credit for the amazing job they are doing it is NOT easy at all! Very very friendly. Management were very attentive and had a good chat and a laugh which I find very important. Breakfast was absolutely amazing would have liked fruit and yoghurt option with few pastries but what you get for breakfast is absolutely amazing & value for money. Parking is easy enough, also plenty of shops in the town. Only downside for myself and partner is there are loads of stairs, we are both asthmatic, COPD and my partner has had stents in recently an suffers arthritis & angina, I know probably can't put lifts in as it's an old building but maybe offer second floor for people with medical issues? Over all dispite that it was absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend staying there

Do not book this hotel! We paid in advance to stay for 3 nights in May. On the first night we discovered that there was no running water or flushing toilet in our bathroom. Our room was in the lodge annex building. We had a very uncomfortable night. The Hotel would not move us to another room because that said they were fully booked. We had no choice but to leave after just one night. We were promised a refund for the remaining 2 nights but they have not paid. It's now the middle of June and we are still waiting for our refund. The hotel no longer answers calls or emails. Buyer beware! Do not pay in advance to stay here. The whole place is shabby and rundown. Obviously run on a shoestring. I can't say it loudly enough, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

Nice, pet-friendly hotel. Jessie was very friendly and helpful and so the other staff. Big rooms and spacious bathroom with big shower. The mattress could be changed and need some 2-in-1 coffee sachets or some milk tubs, but besides everything was good. We had dinner and breakfast and it was all tasty. Hotel is a listed building so there's only so much they can do about it, but it was good for its price.
