Booked this stay as an anniversary night away and wanted somthing a bit special as we dont get away as much as we'd like to. Sadly this was far from that. Parking and check in went well went to our superior room as i thought it would be a bit of luxury. The size of room was good and the jaqouzi bath were definate selling points but sadly i think the room wasnt the cleanest as there were still a few rose petals from a previous guest under the table. And the bathroom needs new grouting and the shower head cleaning as a minimum. Welcome guide was there for us so we took the time to follow the TV setup. However on follow up to reception this piece of information was not correct and the TV could not connect to the wifi. Also on the welcome guide was a link to the resturant. Where we saw the summer menu and saw an offer of 2 or 3 course meal so we took some time deciding what we would want and booked the evening meal. The resturant had a waiter who i would personally describe as cocky and speradic. Trying to make jokes of forgetting the order it felt like a fawlty towers scetch not sure why orders are not written down any more. And we had seen a couple of tables ask for the bill and to be sat waiting whilst he went for a long chat with another member of staff and ignore customers. The pool was a lovely feature and was enjoyed but again cleanlyness of poolside shower where there were bugs in the top corner and the pins for lockers didnt seem to work well. Breakfast was half decent

The room we had was on the ground floor and we can hear the footsteps above us very loudly and disturbing specially when the movement was happening at later during the night Otherwise the amenities were very good. The breakfast was okey but can have more variety The staff who welcomed us as we checked in the afternoon was very lovely, accommodating and friendly However, the staff who was at the desk in the morning we checked out was grumpy and very unwelcoming
