Excellent food . beautiful traditional inn down stairs. A little dated upstairs but perfectly acceptable. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great experience.

Lovely pub with excellent staff and service. Old builidng steeped in history and also some quirks. Rooms maybe in need of a little updating. Also unable to get wifi, which wasn't a majot issue except had wanted to watch something on itvx and couldn't. Food for both evening and breakfast was superb and very decent portion sizes! Lovely beer garden

Whilst the pub and staff are lovely the accommodation is pretty dreadful. There is no air con and no fan. The window does not stay up easily and is dirty and rotting. The beds and pillows are too soft meaning on hot nights it is so uncomfortable. The bed is also too short (I am 6 foot) meaning you cannot stretch out easily without bashing the iron bed end. The shower curtain had mould growing on the inside (room 9). The corridor to the rooms on arrival was full of half empty pints of drink. Also laundry bags lay around in the corridor. The Wi-Fi does not work in the bedrooms. Overall it’s clear the owners do not think about the customers experience when staying as it shows very little investment in the rooms as they could be straight out of the 1980’s. It’s sad especially as the pub and staff are nice. Invest in the rooms and charge more would be my recommendation.

Quaint genuinely old pub which, thankfully but unusually these days, has not been "modernised" and had its character removed. Bar and garden area lovely. Excellent beer. Check-in and breakfast staff great. Bedroom had lovely clean sheets and was very clean overall but the bathroom is in need of a refit! Breakfast OK. Excellent big thermal cafetiere of good coffee. It was fine for a night and I would go there again as it is value for money.

Comfortable basic room with ensuite and kettle but no fridge. Staff excellent pub lovely and friendly great beer garden

The room and bathroom were basic, but clean, spacious and comfortable. Don’t expect modern and contemporary. What you get is a a good old fashioned bedroom, complete with snowy white towels and little bottles of toiletries (something you hardly every see these days). The TV signal is rubbish, but there’s free wifi, so if you want to watch TV or listen to radio, use a smartphone or tablet. Breakfast is freshly cooked bacon, eggs, sausage and tomato with toast and jam, a pot of tea and orange juice. For the price for two of us, we have absolutely no complaints, and would definitely stay again.

Nice old hotel and pub. The food was good. The room was small but clean. The bath could use some modernizing and the bed could use a new mattress. The on site parking lot was fabulous. We would stay again

Great staff, lovely character interior to the bar/dining area. Very enjoyable cooked breakfast. Safe, free carpark to the rear of the Bent Arms Inn.

Very friendly staff and lovely meal downstairs. Parking was difficult but possibly because it was extra busy. The only thing missing in the room was a water glass. Would happily stay again.

our room was tiny, the carpet and lino in the "en suite" were filthy. Clean bedlinen but the double bed was too narrow for two tall people and the mattress felt past its best. we had such a bad first night that we did not stay for the second. the bathroom was a narrow corridor and the shower had a curtain. only plus was the breakfast which was freshly cooked with god coffee.

The room was comfortable, and generally clean, though there were some room for improvement, such as a disgustingly dirty light switch. The chair in the room was broken and couldn't be used, and the hallways were full of obstacles such as bags of laundry. But the staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

Staff friendly, good breakfast, room clean. Whole property needs a refurb but undoubtedly has charm.

A very warm welcome and excellent food and staff. Our bedroom was clean and bed comfortable but tired as was the hallway.

The staff were lovely, and the food was fine. But the room was terrible. Tatty and dirty. The loo didn’t flush properly and the bed was really cheap. The corridors on the upper floors were full of old furniture, laundry bags and dirty dishes. As an added bonus, the room had a psychotic television- which turned itself on at 2am, and cycled through all the channels at full volume. (It did this twice!) We left early, and no one asked why- which doesn’t surprise me.

The pub was old and very attractive and the food was great. The room was querky but clean and everything worked. Out stay was spoiled by a very uncomfortable mattress.

The room is basic and you get what you pay for…. The shower was weak and cold … had to run sink water for 5 minutes to get it hot after giving up on shower after 10 minutes trying to get a bearable temp. When breakfast slot is only 8 til 9 am this is important stuff people!!.However, staff were lovely and evening meal was excellent value and very well presented . Would have liked a choice of brown or white toast for breakfast and to be told what options there are as there is no menu … cooked breakfast is rather assumed to be your preference

A bit loud if your windows face the main road. Basic room with en-suite. Excellent breakfast and easy parking.

Last minute stay for my girlfriend and I while we were in the area. A little pricey for two people for what it is. The room itself was spacious, the en-suite bathroom was very small but the shower fixture/pressure and consistent flow and water made up for it. The en-suite needs a good revamp, the room needs the same too, or at least the ceiling, door frames and walls all need a fresh lick of paint white and magnolia to brighten the place up and compensate for a desperate revamp, curtains need changing or at least fixing. The mattress of the double bed was surprisingly comfortable and the pillows. Towels were not bad either. Had a good night sleep and everything was quiet, and the breakfast in the morning was a big surprise. We were greeted with Howard from Ireland, a very nice chap. Made my girlfriend and I what we wanted. Poached eggs and bacon on toast with fresh real coffee in a French press. The quality of the coffee and bacon and eggs was surprisingly good than what we were expecting or what usually comes with free breakfast on your stay at b&bs . Going forward I would return but you seriously need to decorate and revamp the rooms and make sure the breakfast was impressive for every guest and for every day of the week, consistency is a must.

The pub is lovely, the accommodation was a let down , it was absolutely boiling hot , there was no fan in the room and none were available , I couldn’t get hardly any water out of the cold tap , so very difficult to fill kettle or clean teeth , on first glance pub looked lovely but accommodation really was not up to scratch and I couldn’t sleep .

Very friendly staff. A good value menu for an evening meal. Rom was good, but could do with a fan or aircon. Shower was only adequate. Breakfast was good.

The room was a little tired, but still perfectly clean and servicable. Water pressure in the bathroom was a little low, but still usable. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. There was a kettle with the usual hot drinks available, plus a TV. Soaps and gels were provided in mini bottles. All staff encountered were extremely helpful and approachable/friendly. The food was amazing, definitely worth returning for another visit for some more! The restaurant/bar area looked amazing with exposed timber beams, great carvings above the bar; it was a lovely and well preserved environment. I would recommend this property and would happily return again.

Good location, convenient for local transport. Good food available in the evening. Basic cooked breakfast - with no cereal, fruit or other things to enhance it - and it took ages. If you are in a hurry, the wait for cooked breakfast is bad news. It was cooked to order (which is good) but took longer than you would ever expect.

Lovely stay, staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make me a pack lunch because I had to leave early and miss breakfast.

For the price of bed and large breakfast could not fault. Could not get a table for dinner that night so disappointed nothing was suggested at check-in. Went to Italian next door. Too many body washes and soaps supplied. They were everywhere. Good selection on quantity of tea and coffee although.

Situated in the beautiful village of Lindfield. Fantastic hotel and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was just a short overnight stay, so I don't really feel qualified to give a comprehensive review. Best points were:- easy to find, good parking, helpful staff & a nice room. I wasn't able to have breakfast as I was leaving early, so i was offered (& accepted) a packed lunch. The only criticism I can think of, is that the cleaner needs a longer duster to reach the cobwebs on the bathroom ceiling! But, all the same, it suited my needs perfectly. Oh, and good beer!

My stay was fine, and I am booked in for another stay. Location perfect 4 me. Had supper at Hotel which was fantastic. Enjoyed my stay.

Really good option for Lindfield and the surrounding rural Sussex area. And possibly Gatwick. We had an evening at Trading Boundaries and the Bent Arms was perfectly located for the B B we needed. Will return

The staff here are so incredible friendly and helpful. The pub is gorgeous and our room was comfortable. Its on a great location.

It was in an ideal Place for where we were visiting. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely old inn good food However the bedrooms were very basic and lacking in facilities like table or chairs poor decor no toiletries or glasses. Needs a refurbishment in the bedrooms and landing. Margaret sugden

Really nice pub with rooms, evening meal was excellent and reasonable value. Cooked breakfast was on the whole excellent, only let down being the toast which was under cooked. (Both on the plate under my scrambled eggs and the selection on the toast rack).

This visit was fantastic, The room may be basic by some standards but was functional, comfortable and clean. The food was fantastic and the service could not be faulted. Warm and friendly with nothing too much trouble, indeed staff went above and beyond in helping us with a very demanding timetable. I would book again in a heart beat.

Very friendly staff. Olde Worlde charm. Excellant breakfast and very good Shiraz. My friend and I came for Christian conference at the showground and will definitely hope to stay again, possibly for longer next time
