This is a beautiful hotel. The pools were clean, lots of chairs and loungers. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help and make your stay memorable. There was a variety of choices at the continental breakfast, and the food was always fresh. Make sure you check out the daily specials at the spa. Highly recommend this hotel. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the shower in my room was extremely small.

I loved the hotel it eas just far enough of the action. 5 min walkto everything so very quiet wen you get back. Nice pool. Only down side i could put is morning buffet alwas the same not cooked bacon and small hotdog sausage everyday. Would need a little effort to spice it up a bit. Otter thant that all ok.

Good location, a 3 minute walk to downtown. The included parking is convenient since it is otherwise difficult to park in the area. Watch out for traffic if walking out of the property, specially with children, since it is near a busy intersection with no walkway. Property has a restaurant and a nice swimming pool. Good view of downtown from the top. Staff was attentive and helpfull.

De modo geral eu gostei de tudo! O que eu não sabia é que Tropea é uma grande ladeira e o hotel fica no alto... então é uma boa caminhada até as praias - até aí nada que desabone o hotel. Pontos negativos: para usar a academia deve-se pagar 6€ (Não há ar condicionado - poucos aparelhos e alguns não funcionam, achei bem ruim isso) e, para pegar o transporte até as praias e para voltar - também deve-se pagar - desnecessário pelo valor e proposta do hotel!

WE had to make an emergency stay at the last moment. Pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Tropis is. The grounds were beautful. The rooms were very nce and the Staff was extremely courteous. Speaking English to guide us through an already frustrating day. The price per night may be a bit on the high-end, but absolutely worth every penny!

Please stay away from this fake 4 stars hotel. I’ve been around the world in many hotels and this is not a 4 star hotel.. only the room price is comparable to a 4 star hotel. To begin with it no one helped me to get to my room or understand where the amenities were or how the hotel works, but this was the last of the problems. Me and my wife stayed there luckily only one night, I say only because there is no space for 2 luggages in the room and we would have not been able to spend more time here. The 2 single mattresses pushed together are the hardest mattresses I’ve ever slept on and we were even feeling the springs in out back. No extra pillows are provided in case you want to read a book or watch the tv. To use towels outside the room in case you need one for the pool you will need to pay a rental fee of 3.50 euro.. again this is a 4 star hotel. The minibar is empty and you need to call concierge to have it filled up.. never seen this to a 4 star hotel. I’m a small person 5’7” tall and 150lb and I could not fit in the shower.. I’m not exaggerating, I was not able to wash myself without hitting everything. There are no slippers to walk inside the room (not essential but important for a 4 star hotel) The bidet drain was broken and when I tried to use it got filled with water and was in the middle of the night. I’d love to help save other guests

We had no water facilities in room or tea and coffee our electric was switched off before we checked out so we couldn’t have a shower that morning before we booked out we had a 8 hour journey ahead we had to ask the maid to let us back in after breakfast as the key had been suspended air conditioning wasn’t brilliant we were on the top floor

Overall, we had a good experience here. One problem was the shower size. It was very tiny. Maybe 3 ft by 3 ft. Also, it's not a flat walk to the city center. Expect to walk up and down the hill. We're in good physical shape so the walk was not bad at all, but if you need assistance or a wheel chair, this could be a problem.

Ich war in Juli mit einer Freundin im Hotel Tropis in Tropea. Leider entsprach unser Aufenthalt nicht den Erwartungen, die durch die Beschreibung auf Expedia geweckt wurden. Private Strandgebühren: Auf Expedia wurde angegeben, dass das Hotel über einen privaten Strand verfügt. Was jedoch nicht erwähnt wurde, ist, dass für die Nutzung des Strandes eine Gebühr von 15 € pro Zimmer und Tag erhoben wird. Diese unerwarteten Kosten führten dazu, dass wir den Strand letztendlich nicht nutzten. Der Strand war zudem abgelegen, etwa 25 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Unfreundliche Rezeptionistin: Eine Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption war sehr unfreundlich und ging nicht auf unsere Beschwerden ein. Sie zeigte uns lediglich eine unklare Stelle auf der Webseite, die angeblich die Strandgebühr erwähnte. Zimmer und Schallisolierung: Die Zimmer waren nicht schallisoliert, wie beschrieben. Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern störten unseren Schlaf erheblich. Frühstück: Das Frühstück war enttäuschend und entsprach keinem vier Sterne Standard. Es gab nur harte Brötchen, Toast, wenig Käse, Gebäck aus Backmischungen und kaum Gemüse (nur ein paar Tomaten und Zwiebeln). Positives: Das Reinigungspersonal war gründlich und einige Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Insgesamt verdient das Hotel Tropis höchstens drei Sterne. Ich würde es nicht weiterempfehlen und werde zukünftig andere Optionen wählen.
