We had no cold water either at the sink or bath, we were given four bottles of water to compensate, we were not offered another room and could not have a shower as the water was too hot. The room was not clean nor was the bathroom. Luckily the beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. We will definitely not stay again even though the price was good it should still be clean and in full working order

The first room was dirty and did not look like it had been cleaned- very messy flooring - popped balloons, old socks. However staff very apologetic and moved us to another room easily which was cleaner but overall not impressed with cleanliness. Ok for a quick stop over.

The Days Inn was clean and tidy. Rooms well appointed and the staff amazingly friendly. I loved being able to wander into the Service Station and just have what I wanted for breakfast rather than having to pay £11 or £12 for a breakfast when I only have a very small appetite. The room itself had all the facilities. The problem was it absolutely stunk and even after the receptionist sprayed it it still stunk. There were no other rooms so we had to put up with it and have an awful sleep.

The Hotel is very tied. Staff were great rooms are very poor old style locks so you had to chain yourself in. Bathroom was dirty & dated. I booked for 2 nights but left the key the first morning and didn’t go back

Bed was comfortable bathroom clean with warm shower but NO television. There was a notice on the tv when you turned it on saying'weak signal or check aerial connection' and the receptionist kept fobbing me off with 'an engineer is in the loft trying to reset it' and as always never enough tea,coffee,milk and sugar.

Used as a stop off from London to Durham, easy to find and right next door to the northbound services at junction 28/29 which have Costa, Spar, McDonalds & Smiths. Our triple room was a very good size though in need of a refurb as the bathroom and carpet were past their best. Beds were comfy, the wifi worked and it was very quiet in our room. We had a lovely friendly welcome from the staff and I would definitely stay here again.

Really easily accessible and very clean inside the room. The bed was a king, which was appreciated. However, it was sooo hot! There was a fan in the room but it was pretty useless. In cooler weather this would be ideal for a quick overnight stop but for us we barely slept.

Clean property, pleasant staff. I tried to check-in about 40 minutes before 3 but was told no and had to wait. The hotel was not full and in my experience most places allow some early check-in. When I did check-in it was right at shift change so it seemed the person just didn't want to try.

I felt quite isolated but i guess thats what happens staying on a motorway, Also i couldnt get into my room 3 times as the key didnt work and the master key had to be used, they were aware of this before may stay and it wasnt sorted, for these reasons i would stay again x

This hotel is excellent in all respects. However, I was asked to pay an extra £52 on check-in despite having paid in full when I booked with Hotels.com. The charming receptionist eventually resolved the problem. I was also asked to pay extra when I stayed at another Days Inn hotel recently. I would like Hotels.com and Days Inn to work together so that guests are not asked to pay more when they arrive.

This is a low price hotel and as such it gives good value for money. The staff are friendly but not always available. The manager was very lovely and gave us a great welcome. We stayed for 6 nights which is probably unusual, if we asked for tea/coffee top-ups or new towels, it happened, but on the whole we had a lot of privacy. As a stop-over it's convenient and although it's basic, it is comfortable enough. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Rooms were fine. Unfortunately, a technical error meant that the receptionist thought I had already checked in. It kept me waiting at the desk for 30 minutes (at 1am) while a manager was called. Very poor customer service from the company until the fault was realised.

Not well connected on google maps, which gives you ridiculously long ways to get places, going 5 miles up the motorway before double-backing down again. It was only because the receptionist told us a back way that we didn't drive 9 miles out of the way to get somewhere.

As always, a reasonably priced room which was warm, spacious, convenient and clean. I also liked the discount voucher for food at the service station and the manager who took the trouble to tell me about the short cut to the opposite site of the motorway. I look forward to my next visit.

I tried 4 different irons before they finally found one that works. Plug sockets stopped working and when i asked reception they suggested that i had too many items plugged in which i did not, they quickly got them working again. My room wasnt refreshed on day 2 of my stay even though i had put the sign on my door. I purchased the £10 breakfast voucher for £7.50 with a choice of macdonalds, costa, and roadchef, i didnt like the roadchef breakfast, you have to buy the toast and a cup of tea seperate and the coffee machine wasnt working.

It’s a basic hotel but it serves its purpose. Only downsides are there are no refreshments, apart from room kettle and drink, on site. You have to go to the service area next door. Access is only road legally available from the northbound carriageway which is far from satisfactory. No horrors here. The staff are more than friendly and helpful.

Very little food nothing said the only small cafe closed very early so it’s fine if you don’t mind Mac Donald’s in the evening but anything else you can’t have. And nothing open for non fast food until 10am
